We chose your bank because of the high CD interest rate. When I call and talk with someone on the phone, they are informed and are pleasant. But when setting up the account, the bank did not send me an important email on how to access the new account online for the first time. I had to contact the bank online and was told in an email "you should have gotten that email." I did not.
Also, when we set up our beneficiaries, we discovered that your bank allows only one beneficiary. We have dealt with many banks throughout the USA for decades and have always been able to designate two beneficiaries (since we have two children). I hope you will change this policy in the future.

I like bank5 connect for its easy, simple online experience. But most important is high APY and both FDIC and DIF insured. DIF is unique for banks in Mass, which is an extra layer of protection. Very nice.

Would have given five stars but this was the first time that I had ever contacted this bank and there was some difficulty establishing an account and the electronic transfer of funds from my checking account to your bank.

Bank5 is a very nice bank in a very simple but good way. The website is quick and updates fast. I don't think it has ever been down since I have been using it for a year. When you call in for help you get good service. I think I got Kyle a couple times I called in and he helped out fine. You can also put a password on your account to help protect it when you call in.
I do not like their ACH system. It looks like they have to use a 3rd party to push and pull money from your account. I chose not to use it and I use my other bank to push and pull money to the account. I am sure their system works but I just felt like I'd like to keep that within the bank I am dealing with. I am not talking about direct deposits as that works perfect. Also you can get the access code to get into your account online becaue you deleted the cookies or logged in via a new PC you can have the code sent to your email. I won't do buisiness with a bank that doesn't have email option because what if I don't have my phone? No access to my bank?
Try them out.BTW the phone apps works fine too.

You guys brazenly support Apple pay, the minority market player as far as phones OS go, where is Google pay support? I venture to guess your VPs and CEOs own iOS devices, have a look outside your ivory tower at the Android users.
Additionally I recently had my bank 5 card Citi card stolen, and the Citi process was all online and they overnighted a new card for free, you guys took a phone call and a week and half to get me a new card.

my first two CDs went OK but the third one I tried to open Friday was an aggravating nightmare and although I indicated to customer service that I would give it another try on Monday, I decided to give up over the weekend and decided to look for a similar CD at another bank. Too bad, but your application process really is terrible in so many ways I won't even try to list them here. Very user unfriendly--may I say hostile. You are apparently using a third party and by now you should have figured out how bad they are. You should require every employee to go thru the application process (twice--the second time thru will provide some additional unpleasant surprises) as acondition of employment so they can get a sense of how tough you make it on your applicants.

I opened the Bank5 Connect ADD-ON CD account online. The ADD-ON option is very convenient and pretty rare. The CD rates are competitive. The account opening process was easy, the website is OK and the customer service is accessible even on weekends. The only problem that the ACH transfers to external bank accounts are limited only to $6500 and no wire transfer allowed by Bank5. So if you want to transfer money you have to initiate it from your external bank instead.

Someone needs to review the application process. I applied for the 5 yr CD, but your credit check process refused me an account. It just so happened that I already sent the check before the refusal came thru. I am still not sure why the credit check resulted in a refusal for an account.

Quite difficult to open the account. Once opened, funding took a bit longer than I would have preferred.
Got some free starter checks quickly.
Online bill payment takes funds from your account immediately, not when check is cashed.
24x7 manned customer support is a PLUS.

Bank 5 has been my bank for 5 years or more. My only issues with Bank 5 are technical. Sites seems to be unavailable more often than not when I get ready to pay bills. Customer service often takes two calls but when you do get the right person things are taken care of and communication is good.

I had lost a lot of information in a move and expected to have a difficult time when I called customer service. It was the exact opposite. The man who helped me was patient and explained things clearly and stayed on the line with me until my problem was 100% solved. Great job.

Lousy, lousy service.
First you screwed up and could not make small-amount transfers to my bank account for verification purposes, and hence I could not make an ACH transfer to your bank to purchase a CD (had to send you a check). I was able to solicit this info from your customer service on after my fourth phone call. Shouldn't you have called me or sent me an email to inform me of the "systems failure" on your part that did not permit account verification, rather than wait for a phone call from me.
Second, after opening a CD, I wanted to set it up so that on maturity of my CD, the proceeds could be sent by ACH to my bank. I was told that it can not be done, because the original funds were not sent by ACH. What a lousy procedure. All other banks and financial institutions I have dealt with, subsequent to the original transaction, I have been able to link the account to my accounts at other financial institutions for purposes of ACH transfers.
You are still living in the 19th century

Opening an account online is a labor intensive and long drawn out experience. It took me days to open a CD and then to transfer money from another account to Bank5 it took another 5 days to do so. Then, I was finally told that I could only transfer a maximum of $6,000 per day with a limit of $15,000 per month. Their online process is the worst I had to experience. Then I was told I could only add one beneficiary on the account. Other banks do not have that restriction I then opened up a CD and funded a CD with Sallie Mae and the whole process only took me 22 minutes. Not 12 days as it took with Bank5. I will never open another account with this bank.

Had some issues getting started with them because of my wife having had her identity stolen in the past, but finally got an account set up. Only other issue has been transferring money from other bank accounts efficiently, but starting to understand ways to do it more seamlessly. Other than that, has great interest rates!

Very quick and easy to open a CD online. Especially like the Investment CD that allows additional deposits during the term of the CD. Very professional and knowledgeable customer service personnel. All in all, a very good and positive experience!
