We bought a flat from B and R Developments Ltd eventually completing in early December.
Inevitably there was a snagging list (they were rushing to finish the flat as we were moving in and the finish suffered accordingly.) I was particularly unhappy with a number of things for which we had paid: a recessed door mat - £150 is still not fitted and a £200 heated towel rail is still not operational after 3 months. Additionally I incurred some expenses (for which the company agreed to pay but have not done so.) I also incurred some penalties for the return of kitchen appliances. I have made at least six requests for a breakdown of the penalties incurred- I have not received a response.
Attempts to get things sorted are met by bad-tempered responses and more recently just ignored.
Once we paid for the flat - we were no longer treated as a customer - we've just become a thorn in their side.
If purchasing a new build flat I would recommend that you get a 5-10% retention built into your contract.
