Stay away from this bank ! Totally impossible to contact the branch or make a easy enquiry.
They do not care about their customers, everything takes absolutely ages to complete.
A simple international transfer, takes longer than any UK bank and the charges are astronomical !
It’s very difficult to do any transactions from outside of Spain......

Well Sabadell don’t stop amazing me with the way they treat British clients - apologies I mean victims they now are charging us for every transfer from U.K. even when euros are transferred, ! feel like being mugged ! bank with Sabadell Bank - there Cusomer service to ex pats resemble being in a custody suit with out the curtesy of a by your leave .as a pensioner

Worst I’ve ever experienced. Perhaps the morning briefing at customer service is “do all you can to get rid of those pesky customers”. My account and card have been blocked for nearly two weeks now. The number you call is a waiting game, 20 minutes perhaps, then you’re told that for security reasons, we’ll call you back. Wait a day or two. If you miss the call, that’s it, you have to start again. Bonkers. I actually answered the first call, very polite lady, but I was on a bicycle 10km away from access to my account details. I arranged a call back in 40 mins. Two days later and still nothing. Had to start again... same number, same waiting times. Three days later and the call went straight to my voicemail for some reason. Damn! Short fast message telling me to call the number where they can’t help but will call you back... so the frustration continues.

WARNING: Do not get an account with Sabadell. They are completely incompetent. I cancelled my account and have been trying to get my cancellation certificate for 2 months!!!! They can’t even create a simple document for me!!!

The Customer Service (or lack of) of Banco Sabadell is extremely poor. Had a call with an agent - regarding charges, who as she answered the call was laughing away, then introduced herself and proceeded to be very unhelpful and unprofessional. Offered no Customer Service, and only replied to my questions with "You have to speak with your Manager"...Its a Saturday, they will not be open again until Wednesday! What is the point of having this department if they are NOT helping and assisting the client!!

Honestly and constructively, don't use this bank.
The customer service is appalling, their policies and procedures so outdated and ineffective and should you ever leave the country please know you will never have full access to your money until you return.
I am constantly amazed at their ineptitude. My phone was blocked and I was promised once it would be activated I would have immediate access to my cash.
Imagine my surprise to learn that it may take in excess of 15 days of having my phone to even be able to view my balance. 4 emails and 2 15 minute phone calls and I am still not sure where I stand. I guess I will find out in 3weeks as this is how long they estimate knowing what they are capable of doing.
You would think customer service would have the foresight to mention this when you spend 30 minutes on the phone with them on 2 separate occasion the month before.
Each 'service' agent blames the other for sharing incorrect information as 'I know I am right'
Save the frustration, heartache and pain and bank with your mattress.

Simply the worst bank on planet earth. You lose your job because of a covid and banco Sabadell seized the chance to make some money Charged 300 euros in fees over a couple of months because they could. Neither the branch nor the head office answer any correspondence whatsoever. They literally just ignored me. Then to try and get their 300 euros they phoned 20 times per day issuing threats. Eventually set debt collection agencies on me...... AVOID THIS BANK AT ALL COSTS. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND DISGUSTING.

After cancelling my home insurance in feb the renewal was taken in October. After supplying them with call logs and emails they still won’t refund my premium. Terrible service. Avoid at all costs. Now I have to take legal action to recover premium.

Online Banking Transfer does not work, they only send you the pin number once time runs out, reopened put in the pin number and was then blocked called the urgency number they tell you to call 963085000 said cannot help? Was not bothered if I went to a different Bank, will be closing my account next week

I have banked with Sabadell for over 4 years, I live in Spain and while I do most things online my in branch experiences have been on the most part ,good to excellent.I do not speak fluent Spanish, but have always had the benefit of English speaking staff.My bills get paid by ddm, I transfer money between UK and Spain,no problems really.I am, it should be said a fully legal, fiscally resident, retired ex pat and my Villa was bought and paid for when I bought it.

Sabadell changed my account without my permission and I now have to pay 80 cents per transaction. I spoke to customer services who said they had no idea why this would have happened and also refused to change it back. Appalling customer service and just a bit too convenient that this has happened when we have been asked to pay by card where possible. I will be closing my account as soon as possible.

Absolutely terrible bank. They stole so much money off me because of their fees. In every movement I do (taking money out, paying in an a coffee bar, paying groceries etc) they charge 0.80 euro. And so I have like 60 euro only fees. On top of that they charge 40 euro every 3 months for the bank account. I would absolutely not recommend using this bank.
Thiefs is the only word I have for them.

I have had an account for about 10 years and whilst I have had some bad experiences, I feel that I need to give a more balanced review.
Service is frustrating as a foreign customer and I can't currently find how to register for the mobile app and can't find anyone who can help me. Customer service seems to offer only a complaints service.
On the other hand, I have had some excellent customer service in various branches in Spain.
Also, very much on the positive, several years into a Sabadell mortgage, I received an offer out of the blue to fix my interest rate for the rest of the term at the lowest rate they had ever offered. This massively reduces any future risk in terms of affordability of my Spanish property. They had no need to offer this.
Frustrating at times and not set up well for foreign customers but certainly not as negative as some reviews on here.

I took an mortgage in 2015- branch 0619 but not for free. You need to take house insurance which they increase every year. I do not appreciate their abusive policy with regards seguro de Hogar because they increase price without notification.
2.I cancel direct debit and person in charge from 0619 denied it.
Another abuse , based on info that I must give 1 month notice.

0 stars! Worst bank ever. Stay away. I have been trying to get access to my on line account which is blocked. When i call them they say the same thing over and over "can i have you phonenumber and the teknikaldepartment will soon call you back". Soon? Its been 4 days now and its friday today, i have a feeling that "soon" isnt today either.

This bank is appalling, they will not allow me to transfer any money through transferwise and lock it everytime and now have the cheek to say I'm overdrawn. Apparently the only way I can get money into this account is to sign a DD for it to be processed every month, they want a statement to say its me everytime I transfer, well its ME to ME so I don't understand it. Its not about money laundering at all but a con so that you have to have their rate

I, too, would give it zero stars if I could. I was told that I owe €142 when my account was unable to be closed due to their insane hoops you have to jump through. Do not open an account here. I'm still trying to refute the fees and NO ONE will email me, call me back, or follow up

Banco sabadell is the worst of the worst banks, robbers and thieves! 3 months ago they take me 131e comissions + 39e more because they steal everythink in your account, same to my woman too. Yesterday they take comissions again 182e, what the hell?!! Now it is corona time? Dont go near to that bank and custom survise is really really bad as the hole totally useaful bank of thieves too!!! Never again you bandits!!!

I had a complete home insurance policy with this bank and a few months ago (before the hot spell) we had a thunderstorm and torrential rain. This resulted in a small leak in my bedroom ceiling. I claimed and was promised a visit from an insurance assessor. He came and I was told he would write a report. After a few months of phone calls asking for my report and what they were going to do about it (some rather heated) I was eventually told '...your claim has been closed'...no explanation, no apology, no nothing! Today I have learned that my account has been turned into a company account, without my knowledge, and I have been charge 115.90 euros for...'interest and/or commission' purely because they have me down as a company account.
Since I have been living in Spain (6 years) I have had to watch companies like a hawk. Only the other day I bought a printer from MediaMarkt and when I got home I saw that they had added 39 euros on for insurance without my knowledge (something that is illegal in the UK). To be fair they did reimburse me.
But Sabadell are the professional at getting money off you in a underhanded ways...avoid them at all costs.

Today I tried to unblock my new Bank Card but to no avail. The Bank in La Calle were not helpful at all the counter staff looked totally fed up and were not interested in my dilemma asking if I still needed a card, of course I do. I then asked to withdraw money out of my account and as it was past 11am he said no you will have to come back the next day, even though I had queued for 40 minutes to get into the bank. No help or suggestions and will look to change Banks ASAP but I imagine that won’t be easy either.

They are a joke. Their customer service... is ridiculously bad, the lowest standards I ever experienced.
I am trying to cancel my home insurance for the past month, called them, many many times, was hanged up the phone on, promised to be called back, redirected, it really depended who answered and on their mood. After many fails, I contacted them though messenger, wow, copy paste skills they have for sure, but nothing else. Of course when asking them to point out on some points of the policy that back up their copy paste message where they say they cannot cancel, guess what, they ignore me. No reply for the past 3 days. Sent them numerous message and nothing. I wanted to cancel my account, because I have better things to do than worry when they steal my money, and of course they cannot do that. Why?
Stay away, there are many banks, very supportive and with good customer service.
