I originally contacted Balani in early February. I was measured March 18th and had a wedding date of June 9th. It took nearly 3 months to get my tux. Despite numerous missed promises of its arrival after 10 weeks, 11 weeks, and then 12 weeks, I received it in the late afternoon of the Thursday before my Saturday morning wedding. I had lost weight over the months since my measurements were taken. So I only had one day to get it fitted. The Balani office is two hours away and with all my wedding duties, I had no time to go to Cleveland to get it fitted and then go back to pick it up when it was done. Alicia, my contact at Balani, tried hard to help me through this process. She drove the two hours to Toledo to bring my suit. I was able to make arrangements for my local tailor to fit it properly. Thank God he was able to take most of his day Friday to work on it for me. He took in the jacket, the vest, and the shirt. He also took in the waist of my pants and raised the crotch. Balani hadn't been able to make the vest with the back made of the same liner as my jacket as requested. So they sent the material along with the vest for my tailor to fix. However, he ran out of time.
When I was originally fitted, Balani didn't have an example of the material for the tux, so I picked it out from a photo. I wanted a sophisticated black tux where you could see the thread pattern. Here's the problem...the material was velvet! I had no idea I was buying a velvet tux! The photo didn't look velvet, and I wasn't told it was velvet!
Wearing a velvet tux to my wedding was not my idea of sophistication, so I ended up buying another tuxedo off the shelf from a local company that Friday afternoon. My tailor, bless his soul, tailored it for me after hours.
I was told since I wasn't given the tux with enough time before my wedding to fit it properly, Balani would reimburse me for the expenses from my local tailor. At the time of this review I have yet to be reimbursed.
I now have a velvet tux that I most likely will never wear for which I paid $2,500. I also had to pay my local tailor over $250. This was a very stressful and expensive experience.

The seller did not listen to my needs and wants. Paints too tight jacket too short. A waste of 1600.00 dollars with no recourse.
Puerto Rico.

The clothes didn't fit at all, took me three alterations to get them right. Not what you want out of a custom fitting. Even their own tailor asked who measured me, because the pants were so far off from actual. When I asked them about it, they told me that's what they thought I wanted: pants too big in the waist and three inches too short.

Some shirts had fewer buttons, some shirts had missing placket stitching, the buttons fell off some shirts, some shirts arrived with fabric runs. Pants had pockets that came un done. This is all from multiple orders over 6 months so it is not an isolated condition, it is systematic poor quality.
