They use Hermes courier which is the worst one missing one package and take forever to update us and we have to chase Bakker up all the time Very unprofessional

Sadly my beloved 15yr old K9 fur baby died Oct 2018. My daughter in law said why not buy a rose of her name (Doris) for her grave in the garden. What a great idea to remember my Doris. The rose is of the same name the same color as her fur (Yellow / orange). You can imagine my great distress when the rose bloomed this July 9mths later with bright pink col. I was mortified.
I contacted Bakker and asked how this could have happened. They apologised but didn't answer my questions and said that this rose is only sent out in Oct, would I wait for another. I said yes but tell me how this happened and how can you guarantee I will get the correct rose that I ordered this time, as it will be almost 19mths before I know my order is for-filled.
After many mails backwards and forwards they still can not answer my questions. I said for the terrible way I have been treated and their poor quality control, the least you should do is refund my money plus send the correct rose.
They said they could not refund.
A warning to anyone wanting to buy from this disorganised company that what you order may not be correct and you will not know till it blooms. Should your order have heart string attached to it such as my Doris, (it could be your mother or child or any member of your family). Don't risk the heartbreak when its not what you were expecting.

I cannot stress enough to advise others Not to even contemplate using this company.....the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to come across. Really bad quality plants, late delivery therefore plants are almost dead when you get them, refunds are impossible to get even though they keep promising it will be paid back in 10 working days. 11 emails, a letter to the CEO in Holland and numerous telephone calls. DO NOT USE THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY.

I have bought many plants bulbs and trees from Bakker. Since they have been taken over by another company last year it has gone right down hill their customer service operative was so rude she had the cheek to call me a liar. I told her to listen to my previous conversation with her co worker then she can hear the whole conversation but alas once again it was like talking to a brick wall.I can honestly say before the take over I was so happy now I can and will say I will never use them again.

The worst company I have ever dealt with. Ordered a plant for my friend for her birthday. It arrived dead. Got in touch with Bakker who said they would send out another one, 3 weeks later a plant arrives at my house and not my friends 200 miles away. Email Bakker they say they will send out a replacement. 5 weeks later, still no plant at my friends. After about 15 emails backwards and forwards with Bakker I decide to cancel my order and ask for a refund. Am then told they will not refund the postage even though this is clearly the issue my plant has not made it to my friend. So I am now presentless and down cash on postage. Complete waste of time. Don’t ever order from them.

Bought six plants, just had an email for a partial refund, only one is now coming. Taken over two weeks already felt a complete waste of time. Rang up operator to find out why and felt like I was just put through to a complaints call centre rather than the actual company. A little further investigation reveals the level of complaints and issues out there - thought I was doing the right thing in buying from an 'independent' company but overall it's been a poor experience. Hope the 1 plant that does arrive is in good knick...

I was very concerned having only read the terrible reviews after ordering and I was expecting the worst when my delivery arrived... I need not have worried. Absolutely beautiful plants. They arrived well packaged and are very healthy looking. Really pleased! Thank you!

I do wish we had read these reviews before spending £42.45, it may not seem a lot to some but we are pensioners.
Our 18 Lawson's Cypress Columnaris Green Blue arrived very small and spindly. We planted in hope that they would flourish. We nurtured them with regular watering, good soil and plant food. They have all died apart from 2. We have been waiting for replacements for over a month now as originally it looked like 12 weren't too bad so they were going to replace just 6, but while we have been waiting for replacements now these also are gradually dying off leaving us with just the 2 out of 18 that have survived. To say we are disappointed is an understatement. It's like throwing £42.45 down the drain or into whoever's pocket!

Hello, Ordered plants on the 1st of july order no 1030700676 Based on there advertised 5-12 day delivery and paid over the odds, but as i was going to receive them quick it was ok. As soon as i ordered and the money was taken i got an email telling me there was system problems. Since had 2 new dispatch dates been and gone, Have asked for a refund twice.
6 weeks on and still no refund,no plants not even a dispatch date or tracking number.
Terrible customer service would not recommend.

Ordered Croton and a small Clematis plant. Croton looked nothing like it should and Clematis was dead. They replaced both plants however the second Croton, which would have been lovely, had shed around 20 leaves in the box. It then shed more leaves as it had been stored in the box too long.
As it transpires the plant was also infested by Spidermites. The second Clematis is now also dead. Utter rubbish!!
What`s worse, when i wrote a second time with pics I simply got an email telling me how to look after the plant.

Ordered Croton and a small Clematis plant which were not to standard. Both were replaced but I again had problems with the plants.
Crotons are sensitive to being moved and the plants did not respond in this case.
However, once Noah at Bakker was aware of the problems I had, the matter was dealt with immediately and all steps were taken to resolve the matter to my satisfaction. First class response!!

I'm really happy with my order of plants and pots!
After reading some reviews i was very nervous that i had made a mistake as there seem to be some horror stories out there but my new plants seem good and healthy, they were well packaged and have endured very minimal damage in transit!
They were great value, cheaper than any competitor and have sent out brilliant plants. The only negative is the time taken to arrive but they arrived on the 11th business day after ordering so within their window.
Overall i'm really impressed and will shop with them again!

I submitted an order to Bakker on June 17th, waited the processing time, nothing. Called them up, same story as everyone else, told that there was a delay and that I could have my plants either one of two dates in August or September. Plants that I had ordered in June?
I asked for a refund, this was confirmed via email, for what that was worth. Up to 10 working days- nothing. So I have just lodged a complaint via paypal, and if I do not have my money back into my account by next week, I will be reporting Bakkers to trading standards. I wish that I had read the reviews first. At least they respond- all be it empty. Their 'kill you with kindness' approach does not work for me. I shouldn't have to submit a private message via Facebook to get the goods I paid for in a timely manner, and then I should not have to be chasing and emailing to receive a refund. I do not care that 'working with a living product' can be difficult, that's the business that they are in. Bakkers, you are a online Garden Nursery, I didn't try to order a tv through you, I ordered plants. This was my order number 1030648218. Please. Issue me my refund. Thank you.

I’ve had plum apple pear and three different cherry trees from Bakker that have a south facing garden with plenty of sun light and I water often. They have had three summers in the garden and never have had a single fruit. My soil is good with the right ph. Also I’ve brought fruit trees and bushes locally from garden center and they’ve all produced fruit. Waste of time having fruit trees that produce no fruit wish I brought locally. They stated when I brought the trees from Bakker I would have fruit first year so fought it would have been a good investment. Don’t bother go to a real garden center that is local and ask them instead when buy plants or trees.

Don’t deal with these people, they are a bunch of crooks who operate out of North Africa and sell plants from Holland - small wonder they are all dead when they arrive. Then they say they will make a refund and don’t do it.
Eventual reply from Bakker, but as all requests for refund, handed problem to PayPal, who didn’t hear from them either and have therefore issued me with a refund themselves. So no improvement on the performance Bakker !!

Email Bakker to conform that the had this rose- yes certainly. Ordered _ move on several emails and weeks no rose . Golden Princess was it's name just in case anyone thinks of ordering the same,Then to top it off they said it was out of stock!!! USELESS wish I had read those reviews

I placed an order on 9th April, after 2 emails and a phone call, stating they were being despatched I finally received my order on 17th May. All plants in the order had stated delivery in 5-12 days.
What a disappointment.
One plant, a geum, was a mushy mess, the bare root Astrantias came in a plastic bag where they had tried to grow and then rotted off, again a mushy mess. The other plants, I hope, will survive but are sickly & smaller than the stated size.
I requested a refund for the rotten plants but, not surprisingly, I have not received even an acknowledgement to my email.
My recommendation: buy somewhere else.

I wish I had seen these reviews before buying from Bakker. What a dissappointment they are with absolutely no idea about customer service. I order two plants and a pack of tubers. The plants arrived, just one was completely dead, so I got in touch with Bakker and they asked that I send a photo of the dead plant... I did that and since then have heard nothing. Have just sent them an email requesting an acknowledgement and told them I am not happy with their lack of customer service. Will never use this company again and would not recommend.

Appalling customer service. Ordered two bamboo trees from them and heard nothing for weeks. Eventually got hold of them and my delivery had gone missing. The company supposedly reordered them.
Fast forward two weeks and the same thing happened again. Eventually got hold of someone to be told that the order was, again, missing and that the trees were no longer in stock.
Appalling company and I will not be using them again. Avoid.

Save your time and money and shop elsewhere. I placed an order nearly a month in advance, I was assured that the items would be dispatched on the 16th. I messaged again on this date to see how things were getting on to be told that the items are out of stock and a delivery date couldn't be confirmed.
Really wish I'd read the reviews beforehand as I wouldn't have wasted my time trying to buy from this useless company.

Ordered two pots, a rose and potting soil.
One pot was fine.
One pot was a completely different colour to the image (image is a very dark grey-blue, the real pot is a vivid light sky blue - so no good to me unfortunately).
The rose bush was all over the place (I’m hoping it’s salvageable) and definitely over priced for what it is.
The potting soil (£7.95) was missing entirely.
I contacted customer services and they told me to send a photo of the pot, which I did. They said the colour ‘the same colour as promised’ - because the website just says ‘blue’. I have to organise my own return and then they will refund the cost of the pot. I’ll have to keep my fingers crossed for that.
They seem to have ignored the fact the soil is missing so I’m in the process of following up again about that.
I won’t order anything from them again, and wish I’d checked TrustPilot first.

I bought a bare root fruit tree from them with a 5 year guarantee. The tree i received was dead and had no label so i couldn't be sure if it was actually the right tree they sent me. I emailed them and had no reply so i raised a case in Paypal's resolution centre. They responded asking for pictures so i emailed the pictures. They didn't respond to the email so i have now raised a claim against them in paypal.
I would not recommend anyone buying from Bakker based on my experience.

My plants have arrived on time and very well preserved. The reason I give 4 starts is that they are much much smaller than I remember on the website, but I guess will grow! I was very sceptical after reading the reviews and even emailed them trying to cancell my order but they replied the plants were on their way from Holland already.. a bit odd as I thought this was a nursery in UK. Oh well that are good and placed them in the green house with a bit of TLC will go in garden in a few weeks.
