I find I am having a great time learning a new language with Babbel. The website is easily accessed and maneuvering through it is easy and concise. The voices are clear and very understandable. You can review the lessons as many times as you feel you need to, plus start from the beginning to ensure that you are retaining what you are learning.

So far so good. I am in my first month and have completed the first set of 11 lessons. It is straightforward and starts off with simple, everyday words and phrases. I took French in high school over 50 years ago and I'm pleasantly surprised I remember some of it...😊
I like the interactive style that allows me to learn the words, sounds and spelling. I hope (expect) the remaining lessons will be just as much fun and rewarding as my goal is to have a basic conversation with a native born French friend when I see him again in about 8 months.

Babbel is very helpful. I took French in high school, which is a long time ago, and it's bringing it all back. Hopefully I'll be able to remember a lot of it for our trip to France in November -- I'm confident this will help a lot!

The process of learning is very logical and I like how the lessons are repeated to help memorize the words and sentence usage. The explanation is great, unlike Duolingo that does not explain anything, and you have to look things up elsewhere.

I love learning French via Babbel. I am planning a trip to Paris; and I want to re-learn the French I learned in high school and college. The Babbel method of teaching is great. It presents a few words/phrases at a time, gives examples in print and via audio voice. Then it gives little tests for me to use those words/phrases to see if I understand. And it gives me the correct answer if I am incorrect. At the end of a lesson of a few words/phrases, Babbel gives another review of that whole lesson. This review and repeat helps in the learning. And when I go onto Babbel the next time it knows where I left off. And the new lessons, with new words/phrases, also incorporate the words/phrases in the previous lessons. So, there is continuing review of all words/phrases previously learned and a constant building of learning upon previous learning. This is a great way to learn. And it is working so well for me. I recommend Babbel to everyone.

This learning to speak Russian @ Babbel is all together different from learning it on my own. Much much better. I can finally say, "Здравствуйте," into my mic, and it comes back, "Hello," every time. Before, I wasn't pronouncing the Russian "е" at the end correctly.
One of the first things I ever learned how to say in the Russian tongue was, "Я люблю тебя," and from there my interest flourished completely out of control. Now, it's even easier, and I'm learning the language right along with Babbel it seems by default. Phil.

So far I've been using the earlier Babbel Spanish lessons to refresh my knowledge of Spanish. Decades ago I had a couple quarters of Spanish at University and developed a reading/translation capability. Roughly a decade ago, as the immigration debates heated up, I refreshed using what I recall as a CD program with workbook. Now that we are planning a South American cruise I decided to try Babbel, for which I have seen ads on TV. My experience so far (a couple dozen lessons in) has been positive. One thing I've noticed is that I haven't yet needed to consult a dictionary. Once a word or grammatical rule has been introduced and I have received reinforcing exercises, I do not experience a need to look it up again.

I have used two language apps in the past, and can say without question Babbel is my favorite. I seem to be retaining the lessons better than the others and is easier to understand.

I mostly like it - though there are times when I wish I had a better idea of what it was I was trying to pronounce and the other is misspelling a word and losing a point - because I hit the wrong key. I know I could take my time, but sometimes I get excited and don't look and get frustrated because I did know. My French is starting to evolve, which is good since there is a lot of French in my heritage.

I like the fact that it's fast and without too much to do, you also don't pester with constant reminders to do a lesson, don't always have the time.

Folks! Beware! They automatically continue to charge your account without your consent after you cancel. When you email to complain they email you back saying thank you with a note telling you to reply above this line ( whatever that is suppose to mean) ! They are very sneaky and deceiving! They do not make it easy to cancel!

Excellent app. I highly recommend it for people who are hoping to become fluent in their target language. The app offers content about various cultural and entertaining subjects, as well as training to strengthen all needed skills.

The lessons are broken into manageable chunks, so I can review as I have time. I'm reviewing after a 50-year lapse; it's coming back to me nicely. The pointers are useful. The voice recognition seems to not always catch what I'm saying.

I love this program. I'm learning so fast and it seems so easy. I really feel like I will become fluent in French in no time.
