I purchased a n item which wouldn't fit in the car so had to return it immediately. The member of staff allegedly refunded my card. 7 weeks on I am still fighting for a refund. Customer service simply dont care. I am about to issue a summons

Regular shopper at Paisley branch and cannot fault them. Staff are normally on hand to answer any questions and always seem cheery at their work. Customer service staff always helpful on the few occasions that I have needed them, returns being no problem. Checkout staff always have a smile and usually a wee chat or comment. Nice place to shop and variety of stock is huge. Thanks. :)

Recently had our bathroom redone and managed to find real wood vinyl flooring at B&Q as real wooden flooring was out of our budget, the team were really helpful in advising us on which one to go for with regards to durability, look and feel, long lasting, etc. Has now been laid and am extremely happy with the results!

Absolutely rubbish service, even worse customer service, never again. Ordered a wardrobe online, 1st week of September with scheduled delivery for 26th September. Booked a day off, so as to accept the delivery and I could assemble the item. On the 25th of September with less than 24-hour notice, B&Q informs me that they have messed up my order and only part of the order will be delivered and the remainder could only be delivered by 12th October. I wasn't happy at all, as they just wasted my day off, as a self-employed this means I lost a days wages.
The alternate option they gave me was to go to the local store and collect this item my self, which would mean I have to hire a van. The customer service agent who rung me was not even considering my situation at all, his suggestion was to write to the head office if I wasn't happy. I had no option but to cancel my order and ask for a full refund. To add to my frustration, they refunded my money but kept £5 as a delivery charge.
I will not recommend their delivery service at any cost. This is clearly reflected in the reviews.

Leatherhead store is equipped with very good staff but is very limited in stock.. Guildford branch is big but staff next to useless.. had a very blunt phone call today with one member and then another one in store who was rather clueless/patronising... the only reason you should visit lady lead store is for the burger van!! It really is good & I’d suggest the breakfast baguette... regards, Jeff

Completely useless, only 1 star as they don’t have a zero.
I ordered and paid for on line 2 x 1500 watt heaters.
I received 2 x 1000 watt heaters, rang them, they said they would change them, two days later they delivered 2 x 1000 watt heater, dughhhh, so I rang them again, they apologised and said they would sort it, rang me back arranged a new delivery and pick up date.
Two days later they turn up with 2 x 1000 watt heaters, !!!!
It beggars believe, I rang them again, they apologised and said they would call back, waited a week, nothing, called again and they said they would call crack, that was six weeks ago, it’s gone in the too hard basket, I rang them again and they now say they have no record of me in the system.
They are not fit for purpose, I have had to give up.
That’s what they were hoping for.

I brought a flymo lawnmower, cost £85, used it for the first time, the cut wasn’t low enough, even with all attachments connected, it sprayed grass everywhere, even though the grass holder was almost empty, also it was heavy to push! I brought this hover mower for easier use due to getting older, I had to go back to my old Bosch mower to get a good cut! I tried to take it back, but was refused due to using it? But obviously I didn’t realise it would be so bad! Beware!

I would give the service at B&Q 0 stars if that was an option.
I ordered a kitchen on the 2nd August which has been a complete nightmare and still ongoing. The sales assistants at Stockport, Manchester wanted to make a quick sale and did not explain anything in detail. The delivery arrived with several pieces missing which when I went back to query this, was told the kitchen I chose had now been discontinued! This was not mentioned at all by any member of staff upon purchasing the kitchen and I came back up to three times. Also, one panel was delivered white when the kitchen I chose was grey. I have been back to the store on numerous occasions to rectify mistake after mistake.
I am left without a kitchen and have an 11 month old baby so to say it is difficult is far from it. B&Q did offer me a different range of kitchen for the same price but the experience has put me off completely and it's not similar to what I chose in the first place.
I decided to cancel the whole order and choose a different company.
In addition, this was all placed on a finance plan which now the finance company have said it cannot be cancelled unless B&Q cancel it so I will probably be charged for this and the deposit was not able to be fully refunded due to some error again on B&Q's part. Every single step of this has been an inconvenience for me and my family. Not one day has been smooth sailing and there has always been something wrong with either the order, the delivery and now my refund.
Save yourself the hassle and order from Wren Kitchens. I, for one, will never come back to B&Q again.

I ordered a kitchen online but two month later I still had not received all the parts for the kitchen. I later found that they had discontinued the kitchen and unable to finish. Customer services for this company are terrible. Promise to get back to you and never do. I would never use this company again. I’ve a incomplete kitchen and now I’m trying to chase them for my money back. Very frustrating.

Have just been to the Grimsby shop to look for cushions then went through to see if thete were any plants to buy
Have your staff got a problem with wanting to keep the plants slice. It's a joke when they are selling lots of the plant's for half price if your lucky. 99% of your plants either dying or dead and they know what they are doing. The only plant I can say was the dahlias and I bought myself and friend two them because they offered a fair price.
Lastly the day I see any of your staff working in the plant area will be a miracle.
Lastly I don't know if you have heard of Pennells. We bought lots of plants they were either £2.00 or £1.00 these were offers and all the plants were healthy so we bought more than we thought we would. Does that not give you why your garden area is failing.

Valspar paint is by far the best paint I've ever used.! Yes its abit more expensive but you get what you pay for, it's so durable and I've wiped it so many times, especially having children I would highly recommend. Colour choice also is amazing as they can match colours, 10 /10 for me. Love it .

I have bought a different pieces as part of a wardrobe online, which there were ordered in 2 batches, I did not have an issue with the first order however, the second order, it supposed to be delivered to my address, the time slot was not appropriate, therefore I have requested to be delivered next weekend. Never being delivered, they refunded me the money without any explanation, I thought this is ok, i will order again, however, for my surprise there were not longer stock and now I have the drawers in that size and colour but not the overall structure...
I tried to get a solution on the phone to my issue but the phone service provided was awful and not helpful at all. (Lyndsey was called)

Absolutely fantastic customer service at the Chesterfield store today! After what was originally a very stressful day with another company not delivering our bathroom on time and then not arriving on the next scheduled day, we had no other option then to go and see what we could get quite literally off of the shelf! Jack couldn’t do enough for us and made sure we had everything we needed in order for our fitters to go ahead and carry on with the bathroom plans. Massive thank you from me and my other half as they have saved us massively today! Also a huge thank you to Pamela who enabled us to get all our products home. Thank you both so so much for going above and beyond! I will be sure to tell all my friends and family how fantastic you both have been

I ordered bathroom renovation items via my local B&Q shop. We had 3 different deliveries for the items. It became necessary to re-arrange the delivery date and that’s when their inefficiencies kicked in. 2 weeks later, I’m still battling with them. Customer service was blatantly unhelpful, just didn’t want to know including a supposed customer service manager herself. they didn’t care and did not listen after nearly 20mins wait for them to answer the phone. I managed to get the local shop to sort it out in the end. I finally received delivery for my tiles 5 days later, only to find out they are all faulty so can’t be used.
The earliest they can be collected is in 7 days. Customer service can then only arrange refund after the return which I envisage will take longer because of their processing times.
Now in a house with 2 young children, we have no bathroom and I’m having to find money to get my tiles from somewhere else. And guess what none of them seem to give a hoot about the inconvenience caused to me and the loose of earning to the tradesmen doing my job.
I am absolutely shocked and appalled by the attitude. Obviously spending nearly £1200 is not enough to warrant their service.

B&q failed to deliver today, but didn't bother telling me until I phoned almost six hours into waiting. They couldn't offer me another convenient slot for delivery so I had to cancel.
Got transferred from delivery company to b&q where I was on hold for 30 minutes. I was then told order was still live on system so they couldn't cancel and refund. I was told to phone back tomorrow to try again, but it could take a few days. I had wasted over six hours by this time and they still expected me to keep phoning and being kept on hold each day.
B&q refused to contact me back when the order was cancelled, and refused to transfer me to a manager or supervisor. They cannot tell me when their system will update, and then I have to hope that the order has been properly closed. Until it updates they refuse to refund me even though they didn't bother to deliver. So whilst I am almost £300 down, I have had to go elsewhere to rebuy the goods so they are ready for my plumber.
If you want your goods and don't want to be left out of pocket, avoid b&q!

Appalling expereince @ B & Q Crawley store from their showroom (Kitchen) department.
Store staff who helped me doing my kitchen design (Matt Fountain & Matt Taylor) were brilliant. really helpful and given me enough time.
Specially Matt Fountain been real help.
I placed an order on 12/07/2019 from my builder's tradesman account.and got the delivery date for 26/07/2019 (Main Delivery). and various other deliveries.
Few items were missing on couple of deliveries but we got it ordered by store.
When they came for delievery on 26/07/2019, there was 3 worktops were missing and been told by delivery guys that somebody will contact you from delivery team and should have contacted prior to this which never happened, so my kitchen fitter were at the proportey and left without work getting done and been charged as well.
I phoned delivery team and been informed will contact you by 31st of July for delivery date.same thing again never received call.
Now as i didn't had my delivery it was flagged up to department manager Sabrina Baker, when placing order she was aware about my order.
So, when complaining to her regarding delay and not getting stuff delievered she contacted customer service and then i spoken to customer service team and finally been offered a compensation of £30 and in the end £40.as a goodwill gesture.
but i was out of pocket for a week and my kithen fitter's day wage is no way near there.
So, Sabrina Baker as department manager can't help despite knowing situation what i have gone through. really poor and disgraceful service when placing order they are happy to take money of you but when something goes wrong it's all down to someone else.
basically passing buck but not taking ownership and getting bottom of the situation and making customer happy.most un-professional.
Guys,BE CAREFUL don't order your kithen stuff from B&Q, nobbody is resposible when things goes wrong.but taking order they are so keen.
this will be soon in local news papers as well.i am not asking for mad amount but at least I deserve better then £40 compensation.
very poor service and no one is there to help.really dis-appointed in B&Q store. such big store and company like this not helping to their customer when they are the one who is responsible for the hassle what customeer has gone through.
No one is there to help when things goes wrong. and it does definetely go wrong.
i went to Howden and got my worktop delivered next day.easy smooth trasaction. wish they would have told me and would have got it much quicker, but they don't even have courstey to make you aware.
Most pathetic .

B & Q Darwin modular units. Having waited months for all the parts to be delivered I’ve now wasted three whole days building one of their Darwin modular designed units. Honestly can’t believe how bad the general standard of the manufacturing is. Not to mention the wasteful 300 odd cardboard packages that got delivered in about three phases which then had to be laid out in order and assembled from about 300 different sets of instructions and the whole van load of waste cardboard packaging taken to the tip. Not exactly environmentally friendly having to dump a whole van load of used cardboard packaging. I have never, ever, seen such a complete pile of crap in my whole life. It is simply not worth the time spent assembling such rubbish. On a time spent basis (and I do a lot of DIY) this has been the most expensive item of furniture I have ever bought. It simply isn’t worth the effort to spend two days of assembling to end up with a piece of crap anyway. I will never ever buy any thing requiring self assembly from B & Q again. Now half assembled for another week as they sent the wrong door hinges in one of the 300 packages I received so I can’t get the main door to fit the way it was supposed to. I cannot describe what a disappointing load of total crap this purchase has been. If I don’t get the replacement hinges in a short period of time this will be down the civic amenity site unused and I will smash it up with a sledgehammer myself and chuck it in a skip. TOTAL and absolute CRAP and a complete waste of £700.

Avoid ordering online. They do not fulfil orders but debit your account and allow you to wait all day expecting a delivery. You then have to call them to chase your order only to be told the item is out of stock. They make out that they are doing you a favour by then providing a refund. When they processed the refund a week later they decided not to refund the delivery charge for an delivery that was never made in the first instance. This company is an utter joke. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Went to B Q at New Malden today only to find all the electronic cards machine not working and only two service tills open for customers
With at least fifteen people queuing at each till. Absolutely appalling service. This company need to get a grip of the business and treat their customers with respect and not like cattle.
