I have been a Tmobile customer for 7-years and during that time have kept my devices insured via Assurant. I have discovered recently just how crooked Assurant really is. My daughter had a Samsung 9+ that she really liked... she also likes to ride horses and during a recent ride her phone came out of her back pocket and she stepped on it. Needless to say the front and back glass was shattered. I put the insurance to use to get it replaced, Asssurant sent a refurbed phone to us, we moved sim and data over, packaged the broke on in the return package, put the included label on it and dropped it into a USPS box. A few weeks later I started getting emails from Assurant that they hadn't received the damaged unit and that they would be charging me for the unit if they didn't receive it. I checked to see what they would charge in the case it wasn't received and they told me it would be around $700. I went onto eBay and found I would be able to buy this particular phone for $250 all day long. So forty five days went by and I was told that they would be attaching a charge to my Tmobile for the cost of the phone. I spoke with Tmobile and they told me if Assurant did the charge they would roll it back and at this point they have done that exactly. Assurant is as crooked as the day is long and at this point I don't have insurance on any of my devices. I will buy a replacement on ebay.

It's bad when I called to let them know that I never received a package from FedEx that showed delivered on status. They said they can't do anything about t and now I have no phone. What's a rip off! I paid $50 for nothing. I'm not happy!

First I had to drive all the way out of state, 45 minutes away, to reach the closest location. Then, the guy said it would take an hour to an hour and a half to fix my phone and that he'd call me as soon as it was done. So I drove and got food, came back after an hour and just went into the store to check on it. The guy was working on a different device, when I asked when my phone would be ready he said, 'oh here, it's already done!'. I asked if I needed to sign anything or check anything and he told me no I'm good to go. So I left. The phone was dead so I had to wait to get home to turn it back on, and when I did, the top of the screen has a half circle carved out of the LCD and the front camera lense was dirty and blurry. So he didn't even clean the front. Worst company ever.

Package kept coming missing. Requested supervisor to request for signature for replacement. He didn’t do that so now I’m paying the price for it by waiting to determine if they’ll ever send another replacement. Poor customer service. I’ll cancel my insurance with T-Mobile as soon as this claim is resolved.

Was very very disappointed I paid $50 for a phone that I got for free from MetroPCS and the paperwork that you sent me to call them they said that they could not set up my SIM card because they could not send a text to my phone because it was a new phone and it was a new SIM card duh. Then I had to go to the store to pay my $53 a month and then call back the the phone number which you had on your paperwork that came with my phone. I sat in the parking lot arguing with the man for about a half an hour he told me I had to go in the store and activate it. So I did which cost me another $20. so all-in-all for free phone I had to pay a total of $128. Total disappointment and an expensive one at that!!!!

Worst experience ever had people who didn't know what they were doing and very rude. Got a replacement overnight and tried to activate it and it was locked!!. Then they told me to to send it back and they would overnight another one well it wasn't overnight it took 2 days and when I called they told me they couldn't do anything about it. Worst customer service people ever will just buy a new phone don't know why i pay insurance on it if they do not help!!!

So, Assurant had me send a phone back using their first class usps package. I placed my broken phone in the package and put the package in the post box as instructed. Fast forward about two months, I get a bill from my phone carrier for $800.00. Apparently, the phone never reached Assurant. They refused to refund me. If you they wanted the phone tracked, they should have had me send it back certified.

Between the phone "replacement" and the faulty web page, I will NEVER use these people again for anything. They replaced a Note3 with a Galaxy9... not even the same quality or series of phone, and this was the first claim ever made.

Don't expect to get a new device when you pay them their monthly premium. You will get a refurbished product and you are better off skipping the cell phone insurance. Bait and switch here.

1, filed my claim on a thursday, was told because im a business account I'd be expedited and will have my phone by saturday. Didnt get it until monday.
2, By wednesday i put a tempered glass screen protector on it and the refurbished phone's screen cracked by simply putting it on. Called assurant and they wanted another 250$ for another refurbished phone. Told me because i took delivery and it wasnt cracked, it was out of their hands. Very hesitant to ever deal with them again. Poor customer service.
A screen shouldnt crack by putting a PROTECTIVE screen on top of it. Especially when only a couple of days have gone by since I received it.
I called tmobile and they are sending me a brand new one since these guys failed. Id put zero stars if I could.

I did not get the exact product I had on hand. The insurance provided me with different color and I returned it. They said, he can only give what they had in the warehouse

I realize that this is a hard and stressful time for everyone so I gave them 5 days until I called; when my claim said "still processing", I contacted them. Every time I called they would say 24 to 48 hours to process the claim because all the customer service reps could do is email the claim department. I waited 3 weeks for a replacement phone which is ridiculous.

I wouldn't recommend Assurant to anyone tlhey sent me my replacement phone which turned out to be the wrong phone okay mistakes happen. So they assured me we'll get the right phone out to you sorry for the inconvenience. So what happens I get the second phone replacement just so happens it happens to be the same phone we sent me the first time . No where near what my original phone is I have a 32GB with room for a memory card they sent me a 16 GB phone with no room for a memory card. What do they have an abundance of these phones and just want to get rid of them or what. How can you get the same phone mixed up twice ? I told them I don't care what phone you send me as long as it's 32GB and room for a memory card . So now I have to send this phone back and wait for the third phone to show up. Not very happy not very good customer service get people that know how to read the notes in your file and send out the right phone. What's so hard about that very dissatisfied canceling my insurance after this phone

I filed a claim 9 weeks ago due to theft at my residence. I was interviewed and treated like a criminal. They have yet to pay any of my claim. They don't answer phone, asked to speak to Manager two weeks ago and they have yet to return a call. Suspect coverages and have to have a receipt for everything I have had my entire life or they say they don't cover the item. If you have any pictures of your items they only cover them at half value not replacement cost. No customer service whatsoever and you are treated with no empathy. Should not have to seek legal counsel in order for my policy to cover what they insured me for and what was paid for.
