ORDER #57446 - 02/09/2017
I placed an order for a kitchen hood on 02/09/2017.
I have received 4 delay emails since and a further e-mail deferring the responsibility of delay to their entrusted courier "Schenker". I was promised that Schenker will get in touch with me in 5-8 working days but 10 working days have passed and I have heard nothing.
97 days has now passed from when I placed my order. This elapsed time is not acceptable given a similar product elsewhere will have turned this round in approximately 15 days.
My last two e-mails to Arredautto have simply been ignored.
I am now concerned how long it will take to initiate cancellation and if I do how long it'll take to get my money back. I suspect there'll be delays and a sting of excuses in broken English will follow.
I am investigating what financial and legal options I can take to get my money back if I do not get my hood soon.

I ordered a barstool at Arredatutto and after I received the parcel, I informed Arredatutto that I received the wrong stool.
Upon Arredatutto's request, I sent pictures of the barstool and Arredatutto could see the barstool next to my other Bontempi barstools (including the differences in height, material, colour). Thereafter Arredatutto requested pictures of the label stating: "before cancelling the order and issue the total refund we have to figure out what happend. Please provide the picture of the lable. After all the necessary examinations that we will arrange the return of the chair." I sent a picture of the label. Arredatutto informed me that they shared and discussed the pictures with the manufacturer: Bontempi. After reviewing and discussing the pictures of the product, Arredatutto explicitly and unconditionally informed me by e-mail of the following:
"Then, we will send a courier to pick up the product from your address. Of course, you will NOT have to pay for your return. Once the chair has been picked up, we will issue a refund on your card."
It follows from the unconditional quotation from the e-mail from Arredatutto above that I would not have to pay for the return and that the refund would be issued on my card upon pick up.
Arredatutto arranged for a courier to pick up the barstool, but refused to refund in breach of article 13 of the European Consumers Directive 2011/83/EU (even after repeated requests) that requires Arredatutto to reimburse within two weeks. Only weeks later, Arredatutto changed its position indicating that I ordered the wrong barstool (in reply to my review even referring to the pictures that I sent them and that they discussed with Bontempi PRIOR to arranging for the pick up to assess which barstool I would return). This really shows Arredatutto's unreliable service, because Arredatutto was fully aware of what I ordered and received and therefore of what would be returned (Arredatutto even discussed it with the manufacturer of the barstool: Bontempi).
Arredatutto now refuses a full refund and arranged for a partial refund, which again is in breach with the European Consumers Directive 2011/83/EU (article 14: the consumer shall only bear the direct cost of returning unless the trader has agreed to bear them). Arredatutto has deducted not only the costs for the return, which is in breach of the explicit and unconditional agreement that I would not have to pay for the return (I refer to the quotation above), but also the delivery costs of the initial delivery. Also, deducting the costs of the initial delivery is in breach with the European Consumers Directive 2011/83/EU (article 13). Arredatutto remains silent about the breach of mandatory consumer obligations by simply stating that they apply the European Directive, but the fact is that they have not refunded the costs for the return (breaching article 14) and also not the costs of the initial delivery (breaching article 13).
I have seen that Arredatutto now also states that I followed a normal return procedure, which is not the case. This procedure is described in their conditions of use, but I have NOT filled out a request for return form and a courier of my choice was NOT used. It follows from article 13 of the European Consumers Directive 2011/83/EU that this is NOT a normal return (Arredatutto arranged for the pick up) and superfluously - and as stated above - we agreed differently. Arredatutto also does not reply to this.
I have not heard from Arredatutto since I informed them repeatedly that I would inform my credit card company of their deceptive behavior (already weeks ago) and I would advise consumers with similar experiences to do the same. After a full review of the case file, the credit card company reimbursed the costs that were withheld by Arredatutto.
Arredatutto quickly replies to a bad review with one of their standard answers about t-shirts, but structurally breaches European consumer rights (as described above), fails to reply to e-mails or provide good service. Indeed, the practice of Arredatutto is a textbook example of bad service.
In short, never order any products at Arredatutto (I note that I left out the late delivery), especially if you expect to deal with a company that complies with mandatory European consumer law and that provides after sales service.

So far, (awaiting final delivery of goods) this company have been excellent,I am constantly updated on the items progress and this through a difficult business period Christmas; and should you be fortunate enough for Nicoletta to be dealing with your inquiry you could wish for NO better, though I am sure all her colleagues are of the same high standard of service delivery to the end user that this company have thus demonstrated.

I purchased a Cattelan Glass Dining Table from Arredatutto. When the table was delivered to me, we found that the glass was broken after opening the packaging. We followed all the procedures for damages listed on Arredatutto website but it made no difference.
The courier company DSV that Arredatutto uses told them that the table was received by them intact, even thou there was no way of them knowing if the tempered glass was broken inside the packaging.
It seems when there is a problem you are on your own. I am getting no assistance from Arredatutto in resolving this issue and i am sitting with a broken table. Desperately disappointed with the very poor customer service.

I had wonderful experience with Arredatutto. I ordered online for an international shipment almost entire kitchen appliances (Oven, Hob, Hood, Sink, Water mixer). I hesitated a bit before making the order since I had no previous experience with them. I read feedback and communicate with them by emails and decide to give it a chance.
During the whole process the communication with them was great, and all documentation they sent me was very helpful for releasing the packages in the port.
All items arrived in perfect condition, they were perfectly packed for the long journey they has :)
I would definitely use their service again, and strongly recommend you to do the same!

I ordered an Elica Sweet Rame/F/85 cooker hood on Arredatutto.com on August 1st. I paid £485 for the product and £86 for delivery within 3-4 weeks. It has not yet been delivered (more than 6 weeks later).
The product has an expected delivery date of 15-17 working days, but I did not hear anything. So I emailed on August 23rd and was told that there was a delay due to the Italian company being on summer holiday.
Since then I have been chasing, but Arredattuto only reply on average every 7 days.
Arredattuto claim it is with the courier and that is now causing the delay. They have not provided any meaningful information for me to know when to expect it will be delivered.
Reading the other reviewer's comments I am now highly concerned (a) if I will ever receive my item (b) if I do, will it come faulty (c) if it arrives will I be able to plan with the courier to be there on the day.
I'm sure Arredattuto will now post a massively long reply about how none of this was their fault and they are terribly sorry, but they are the ones with my money and have not delivered. If I don't get the product in a satisfactory way I will definitely launch legal proceedings (as I have done before with companies) because as a matter of principle, you should not be taking people's money until you can guarantee you are going to be able to fulfill the service. On top, 7 days replies is terrible customer service and it's a shame as they are now missing out on £1000s of future orders from me. Who on earth is behind this company and why can't they sort it out??

Ive not even received my products yet!! Ive emailed to say they have not been received and the response is an email asking how well they have done!!
I’m down my expensive cooker hood, my time and work hours. Unacceptable. Ive not heard anything from your trusted delivery service Schenker. It was meant to be a 5-8 working day wait will I’m on working day 11 and still with anything. How can i carry out checks and cover myself with a warranty if they have not physically reached my home?

The gentleman who answered the phone spoke perfect English despite being Italian. Arredatutto offered the Elica Nuage extractor hood at the best price at the time of me looking so I went for it, despite the company being located in Italy. Online ordering was vey easy and straight forward and I was kept informed about various stages before the arrival of my extractor. I would not hesitate buying from Arredatutto again as I was very pleased with their service and my purchase was delivered earlier than originally advised! Thank you Arredatutto!

I have ordered a coffee table. At the time when order was placed the 15 days delivery time was announced. Then I was informed that the delivery of the table will be delayed and I agreed to wait until the end of April (65 days after order being placed).
During this long awaiting time the price of the table was lowered by about 16%. My table arrived at the end after 80 days after order being placed. I have had a right to cancel the order due to further delays and placing the order again at new, lower price, but was honest enough and I did not do that.
The Arredatutto refused to compensate the price difference offering me worse price conditions then they offered to new customers when my order was still in progress and delayed more than we agreed.
I am not satisfied with their after sale approach and I would not return to this store and do not recommend Arredattuto to other buyers.

I ordered an office chair (Milani Comet) from Arredatutto.
When the chair arrived it was clear that the seating mechanism was defective as it was not possible to sit in the chair.
I bought the chair because I needed an extra chair for my business and unfortunately for over a month, Arrdatutto' customer service has not been able to sort out the situation, either by sending me a replacement one or a refund. They have proposed to send a new mechanism so that I can replace it by myself using a hammer... (in a new chair...).
I do not believe that I am asking for much in return for my time and effort, as all I want is my money back or to have this product replaced with one that works properly. I will gladly return the defective item to Arredatutto.
Very inefficient customer service. Don't recommend and will not consider buying any other product from this company,

I can understand your disappointment but I have to stand to what Milani decides. By the way I have forwarded your videos to Milani and have claimed the replacement of the chair. I will get back to you as soon as I hear from them. May be in the first week of september.
3/ I find very unprofessional that the seller asks the customer to use a hammer to replace a defective mechanism. How come a seller of a defective product ask a client to change a mechanism using a hammer.....
4/ Not signing the review just stress how unprofessional and unprepared Arredatutto is to deal with any complaint from a customer. I really don't recommend buying at Arredatutto, and will write as many reviews in social media as possible so that customers are aware of the risk of buying products at Arredatutto.
5/ Will continue updating my review as soon as I have further news from Arredatutto. In the meantime, will also consider contact the EU Consumer center law to enforce my rights. Will keep you posted.
Pursuant to EU consumer law and guarantees, customers have the right to ask you to do any of the following without any charge (for postage, labour, material, etc.):
repair the product
replace the product
reduce the price
cancel the contract and reimburse them in full
For the time being Arredatutto is in breach of EU law, and instead of repairing or replacing the product, decided as it is possible to see in their answer, to ask the customer to use a hammer... and do the work for themselves...

Be aware that if you buy a defective product from them you might be asked to use a hammer to fix or replace a piece/mechanism from one of their products. Really unacceptable. Don't recommend.

as we wrote, Milani confirms that they will supply for free the spare part you need to make the chair work perfectly. Changing the mechanism is the easiest an quickest solution.
Please also take note that you bought as a company, not as a private person. So it's not applied the EU consumer law, but the Italian Civil Code.
Despite that, customers are all the same for us and we always try to find the best solution.

The shipping of my product ordered via Arredatutto took quite a while but I was kept absolutely well informed at any time. The assistant even called me once to make sure which colour I wanted. Email respond almost anytime within 24 hours.
