I ordered a pair of pants and gloves. They shipped pretty slowly as online companies go (2 days) and the shipping was very slow, although this is not armysurplusworld's fault but they should not have used Fedex in the first place, I feel the other carriers are both cheaper and faster. When I got the parcel is when I was really disappointed. I opened it and removed both items. The pants were the wrong color and both items were too small, because they were from Rothco. They seemed cheap and poorly constructed (wide stitching, rough seams. I did follow both size charts so they should have been exactly correct. The return process is non-free, they make you pay shipping back. Overall I am out the cost of my items on this, however I am looking forward to the return arriving so that I can receive a refund. I had a positive experience in the past buying surplus clothes, but this time it was just terrible. I think I will buy from a larger online store in the future because I think they care more about customer satisfaction.

I ordered 2 M65 field jackets, 1 medium and 1 large. 2 liners 1 medium and 1 large. Internet price was $26.99 each for the liners. My order came in a 12 x 12 x 8 box. Needless to say my items were smashed into the box. After I removed the tags to wash everything I noticed that one of the price tags on the liners was marked $22.99. I contacted the customer service rep on Saturday 5-25-19 and told her the situation. I even emailed them a picture of the tags. No manager was available due to Memorial Day Weekend. On Tuesday 5-29-19 I received a call from Vanessa who said she was a manager. After I explained what happened she said there had been a price increase on the liners and the price was not changed on the tag because it had sat in there warehouse. Now I know it can happen but any store I have ever done business with would honor the lower price even if it was in error. I told her that the store didn't pay anymore for the product because it was dated 10-26-18 and had been sitting for several months. All she would say was that I paid the correct price and she wouldn't do anything. After I told her I would be taking my business elsewhere she wanted to get off the phone fast. All I can say is that $4.00 will cost them a lot more in lost business. My son is active duty military and just transferred to Texas. I will be warning him about this place and I know he will pass it on to his fellow servicemen and women.

I searched the internet for hours to find these great Women's Vintage Camouflage Capris SKUarmy912-9 and what a great find it was! Beautiful heavy duty Camouflage material, perfect size(with room), drawstring which I wanted also. No flimsy too small sized so-called capris/pants as I had seen before. I am very very pleased with my purchase from Army Plus World. P.S. Speedy delivery also just as they stated!

Ordered under tab for used military pants, got pants and immediately washed them. Then noticed they sent wrong size. Now they say becuase they are washed they will not accept return. Sent them pic of label with wrong size and copy of order with correct size ordered. Stay away from this company. Very, very bad customer service.

I ordered over $50 from Army Surplus World. After 10 days and not hearing anything from them, I sent an email requesting an update. They replied my order would be shipping at the end or the beginning of the following week. The "end" of that following week I still hadn’t heard anything from them so I cancelled the ordered. They replied a refund would be issued shortly. After two more weeks, I finally disputed the amount with PayPal. If you like getting screwed around on a large order, then Army Surplus World is the place to go….

These people did not have the item in stock when they took my money. Apparently instead of telling me they just ordered one and left me wondering where my item was for 16 days until I finally called to see where it was. And like majic they shipped it the same day I called. These people lie and are unreliable.

They have great products and wonderful customer service agents. I had to change my shipping speed and they were able to do that easily. They called me when one item on my order was back ordered because they knew it was a gift for my grandson's birthday. I really appreciated that.

I called them up for a special order and they were very helpful and knowledgable. The owners have been selling Army Surplus for a long time and really know what they are doing. They seem to work hard to have a varsity of items in stock.

Ordered something that I needed by Friday on Sunday, and it arrived by Wednesday with standard shipping, and they called me as I had made a mistake with my order and they helped me correct it, very good company would recommend to anyone.

I ordered personalized, bulk, dog tags for my son's send off party to boot camp. I ordered on line and am not very "techy" so I called customer service. The lady was very pleasant and walked me through the entire process. I placed my order Friday evening and received it, in Florida, on Monday. The dog tags were perfect, reasonably priced, not military quality, but perfect for party favors. My billing (PO Box) and shipping (my place of business) addresses were different and it did not cause any issues as with some other companies. I would definitely do business with them again!

Purchased a total of 8 web slide lock buckles. They were sold as, and marked as being solid brass. They are not. I don't know exactly what they are, but they are not brass. I called and they blamed the manufacturer. They did offer to take back the buckles that had not been modified to discover this misidentification, but that still does not change the fact that they sold a counterfeit product. I doubt they are made in the USA either.
It's simple, if you're going to charge $11 for a solid brass buckle, it should be solid brass. It's not about the money, it's about the hassle and being able to take people at their word.
That's all well and good ArmySurplusWorld.
It's real simple, is it brass? It either is or it isn't.
In this case I can tell you, it is not. You can post whatever you would like about the printing on the package. If it's not brass don't say it is.
What I choose to do with my buckle is my business.

This is a warning to Civil Air Patrol cadets & their parents. DO NOT PURCHASE items related to your uniform from armysurplusworld.com. Go to vanguardmil.com instead. Vanguard is the authorized official store for the Civil Air Patrol. I regrettably purchased 2 items from armysurplusworld.com and was ultimately unable to use them at all. I had to repurchase the items at Vanguard. The quality & craftsmanship at Vanguard is far superior! Plus, the prices at Vanguard are way cheaper. Do yourself a favor and don't do the stupid thing that I did by purchasing Civil Air Patrol items from armysurplusworld. I wish someone had warned me.

Ordered a Field Jacket. Was told I'd get a confirmation email. It never came. Called and was told by Stephanie, my order would be shipping (via express shipping that I paid extra for) in the next two hours and she would email me my tracking number, that never happened either.
The next day I emailed them and complained and I got an email telling me what a great operation they have there and there was indeed a tracking number. I checked that tracking number for the next two days and the only information from the Postal Department was " A shipping label has been printed but no package has been received for shipping."
I emailed them again and at the end of the day, after they were closed, I got an answer. Stating that the package had already been delivered, on a date prior to me even placing my order and to a customer with a different name and at the other end of the country. I don't care if they don't like giving refunds. I'll bet my credit card company will be able to explain to them how things really work. What a bunch of under handed, thieving, incompetent idiots.
Before I waste anymore time with Army Surplus World, let me put the important information out there first. When I got involved with ASW I was looking for a military, M-65 Field Jacket and I was able to find a great one. For those of you who are looking for Military Style Clothing, made to Military Spec, that's MADE IN AMERICA, find a dealer who carries clothing made by "Golden Mfg". I don't want to mention the seller where I got mine in this forum but if you Google it you can find those dealers. Why settle for a coat from China......or where ever.
On that note, why settle for a company who is clueless about what they're doing and lacks all respect for it's customers. First of all, my christian name is Gerard. Jerry is short for Gerard, you know, Jim for James, Mike for Michael, Joe for Joseph, you get it now Army Surplus World?????? You'll find my name in your sales records, order #5981, placed on Wednesday, November 2nd. I don't blame you for not knowing that Jerry is short for Gerard because you're stupid.
Before you call someone a liar, take stock of just how stupid you really are.
You sent me a total of 4 emails, which I still have. NONE of them had a receipt for my purchase, showing what I bought, what I paid, where it was going, who I was, when I bought it, NOTHING. When I called to find out where it was, I got your first email and here it is;
Re: Contact Form 4865
Army Surplus World
Your order was placed and shipped within the same day, less than 24 hours, which is extremely quick. Our customer service representative was correct in that you should have received an email with tracking information once the order has shipped. Our site is set up to where emails are automated anytime a customer places an order and a package ships. If you did not receive an email it may have filtered into a spam folder. If this is not the case then there was a technical difficulty that was out of our control and we apologize for the inconvenience. We can, however, provide you tracking information manually which you can find in the link below:
Still NO SALES RECEIPT. Trustpilot Readers note the first line of their email. I did follow the attached link and it yielded no information, just that a shipping label had been printed. Your second email advised me of you return procedure because of sizing issues. When I emailed you again to advise you that the tracking you supplied wasn't working, you tracked it for me and sent me the third email and it's right here;
Re: Contact Form 4865
Army Surplus World
According to the tracking information, the package was delivered on October 26 to
Shawn D White
726 CHERRY ST # 100
SUMAS, Washington, 98295
You can track your package at with the tracking number 9405510200882184511154.
Now Trustpilot Readers, feel free to track the package for yourself, you have the number as provided by the "Cutting Edge" Staff at Army Surplus world. In addition, you can see that this package not only wasn't mine but it didn't go to Arizona, where I live and the order had to have been placed AT LEAST TEN DAYS BEFORE I EVEN KNEW THERE WAS AN ARMY SURPLUS! The person who wrote a reply to my review IS STILL ON THE WRONG PAGE which proves my point about them - TOTAL INCOMPETENCE!
I got this email on Friday, too late to contact ASW but Saturday morning, after 15 minutes on hold, I got a Supervisor named Jenny, she took 4 or 5 minutes to come back on line to proudly tell me that she had my package right there. So much for shipping within 24 hours. Her still having possession of the package was a blessing from heaven. I told her that I didn't want it, not to ship it and that I didn't want to do business with them at all. She stated that she would issue a CREDIT for the sale and I corrected her by saying that I wanted a REFUND.
On the surface, this looks like this nightmare on Internet Street, is over because Jenny did send the forth email which outlined the information of an on-line refund. I guess I can't really be sure that these people lied to me, they're just, as I already said "Stupid" and "Incompetent". Because of this, I can't trust them. I'll check with my credit card company this Saturday to be sure that they didn't give my refund to the guy up in Washington State. If the refund isn't there, I'll dispute the charge with my credit card company and file a complaint and turn the matter over to the Consumer Frauds Div of the Texas State Attorney General's Office.
Now at this point, you, the Trustpilot Reader can believe the ASW Account, (which isn't even signed, very professional and could have been written by the janitor) which would have you believe that "the mean old customer is just picking on the poor surplus company for no reason at all" or you can take my warning, avoid all this crap and buy from a company who has a good reputation, deals in a quality product, cares more about the customer being satisfied than it does about the money,
wants your business and respects a customer. Either way, I wish you all good luck. I thank Trustpilot for providing the forum by which we can expose businesses like Army Surplus World and at last, I'm DONE with this. Think I'll put some patches on my new field jacket.
I appreciate your willingness to admit your mistake and you're right, we all make them. Your mistake, I think was to identify your customers by the tracking number of their order. If you use the incorrect number in error, as you did in my case, you're in big trouble. It's always best to verify your facts before contacting a customer ( or writing a reply on line ). The practice of "Ready, Shoot, Aim" always generates problems. At any rate, I accept your sincere apology and the tone in which it was given. I can't help but feel that if it had been handled in that way, in the beginning, there never would have been a post on TrustPilot. Tomorrow is always another day and you will have another opportunity to win the gratitude and trust of another customer. Good Luck!

Horrible customer service. Late shipping order and would not upgrade shipping to fix the problem. Never contacted me to tell me items are out of stock or that my order was shipping late. Caused me to miss my deadline. Website is even worse. Had to place 2 separate orders and shopping cart will not clear browser. Refuse to ship using my Fedex acct #. Find another place to shop!

Placed 2 orders 1st order was perfect quick an everything was fine.2nd order 1 item missing instead received 2 of one item I only wanted 1. It seems they read the order wrong! Or they decided tomake a substitution without asking me. Sent 2 emails no response so I telephoned instead gave me the runaround wanted me to take pics of the items Items were xmas gifts what wasI suppose to do ask for the item back which in in another state. Tried explaining to customer service to no avail. Left me no choice either I spend money to ship an item back which,I didnt order or dispute the charges with my credit card co. So no help from them I am disputing the charges. Let them deal with my credit card co. I WOULD NOT PLACE AN ORDER EVER AGAIN WITH THIS CO. Riduculious over a 9 dollar item.

I had never used this website before, but I decided to give it a try. I ordered a tan USED ACU cotton shirt, along with a patrol cap and ACU pants. The package shipped very quickly, and was scheduled originally to arrive only two days after it shipped to me (I am in Kentucky and it was coming from Texas). The scheduled delivery was then re-scheduled for a later date, which I wasn't too concerned about. I got the package very quickly, within about seven days, including a weekend. The used shirt is in GREAT condition, along with everything else. I would highly recommend this website for anyone looking for military surplus items.

I had placed an order with plenty of time to avoid paying for expedited shipping only to have the package arrive without contents. The package consisted of a bubble envelope that was open at the top. I had purchased 8 belt buckles and can only assume they were too much for the small envelope to hold. Either way, I called customer service and was instructed to send a photo of the package to them and did so while on the phone. I no longer had a cushion as far as time goes and needed the items immediately. I was told I would be shipped new items but only with the original shipping method. I told the customer service agent that I was upset and I felt like I was being punished for something that wasn't my fault (ie the packaging) and was told that they were being punished as they were losing money replacing the items. She went even further to say that they ship thousands of packages and that this never happens and began blaming the post office. I repeatedly stated I was upset and that didn't seem to matter one bit to her. So mad right now. I will never purchase from this store again.
Addendum- Again, I repeat, terrible customer service. I was given attitude during my initial interaction with their customer service, and now A YEAR LATER they respond with more attitude. I have worked in customer service for many years, and while I know the customer isn't always right, I SAW how the items were originally (poorly) packaged.Either way, treat customers with respect and understanding for their position, not with malice and the Holier-than-thou attitude. Just changed my review from the original three-star review down to two thanks to the nature of the response. Whatever happened to just saying "sorry you had a bad experience, we'll try to improve upon XYZ so no other consumers have the same experience?"
From the internet: "Good customer service is treating customers with a friendly, helpful attitude. Good customer service means helping customers efficiently, in a friendly manner. It's one of the things that can set your business apart from the others of its kind"

Honestly, I'm surprised by these reviews. Every time I've ordered something from this company, it's been a good experience. The first time I ordered an extra PT shirt from here, customer service called me to make sure I was ordering it because my billing and shipping addresses are different. More recently, I ordered a ball cap and a name tape to put on my cap. Customer service called me to ask if the name tape was for the cap or my uniform, so they knew which size tape I wanted. They are a little pricey and charge a bit for shipping, but they ship quickly. I haven't had to return anything so I can't speak for their return policy, but otherwise it's never been a problem ordering from here

Ordered a Jeep cap from them. The cap had a hole in it. I contacted them within the 24 HOUR RETURN PERIOD they allow. However, they wouldn't refund the purchase price unless I sent them a PHOTOGRAPH of the defective cap. I did and they then said they would have to contact the manufacturer before they could refund the purchase price. I have no idea what the manufacturer could tell them. In the end, after much wrangling, I finally returned the cap and contacted my credit card company to disallow the charge.

Update!!!!! November 8, 2016
This company waits almost 5 years to refute my review and my integrity?
Ask yourself ? Do you want to order from a company that advertises product as USA made and sends China made? Do you want to risk paying shipping and then forfeit your money at the cost of their mistake?
They said the bandanna was 100 percent cotton and that it was made in the USA total lie from china and they do not refund your shipping either. They are a rip off and I have several alternatives to all of their merchandise.

They wanted a signature confirmation for a $12.00 order. Spend 45 minutes on the phone with the post office and they said this company has a must have signature confirmation on this package. This is the first and last order with this company.
