Very good and friendly service with a very high standard of professional personnel. This is the second time we have used them for a move.

Due to the experience I have just had using Armishaws I would be more than happy to recommend them. I received adequate communication from the office staff and an absolutely brilliant team on removals day. Toby and Ben worked tirelessly with lots of laughs and made the day stress free. All goods now in storage awaiting a date for the next stage of move which I am sure will go just as well.

Other removals told us the move could be done in two days Armishaws said they would not attempt it in two.
So glad we chose them for three days of precision workmanship and we were in out new home in shropshire. I would advise anyone to use Armishaws they really are the professionals.

We recently moved with Armishaws and the experience was a mixed bag. The salesman that came to do the quote explained that we were moving in peak season and phoned the office to check they had availability on our completion day. They assured us they did but they might have to pack us up the day before, leaving the beds to sleep in, then finish up and move us on our completion day, all we had to do was pay £100 deposit to secure it. Their quote was inline with some others we had and we trusted the salesman so we handed over the card on the agreement that we would let them know when we had exchanged.
I received a phone call from the sales manager Chris about 2 weeks before our expected completion date telling me as I hadn't confirmed (we still hadn't exchanged) they could no longer move us on completion day, and would have to do it thr day after. When I questioned this and said that we had paid the deposit to secure the date Chris was SO rude to me, he abruptly told me that nothing was secured because they hadn't taken the deposit. When I explained that they had because I'd handed my card over to the salesman he said "Well if you check your bank you'll see we didn't actually take the deposit because we didn't know if we'd have the availability.' When I said I'd assumed the date was confirmed as I'd thought I'd paid he said that someone should have told me, but 'they obviously hadnt'. We were going back and forth and he is still being so incredibly rude by this point and I was almost in tears so I said to him 'I really dont like the way you're speaking to me' and his response was "I tell you what, shall we just cancel the whole thing then?" I really wanted to tell him to poke it up his bum but we were due to move so soon and I wouldn't be able to find another company so instead I handed the phone over to my husband. Chris was extremely polite to him and apologised to my husband for being 'sharp' with me.
Anyway he obviously felt bad because after that he went above and beyond, booking us in on that date before we'd exchanged as long as we agreed to pay cancellation charges as we were running out of time. They could only pack us up the day before though so when I asked what we do about accommodation as we had 2 small children and would be homeless for the night he agreed to knock £50 off the bill towards a hotel. A nice gesture but it never happened and we were too frightened to say anything when the bill came through incase they cancelled on us and left us in the lurch, so we swallowed that one.
The actual removal guys that did the hard work were phenomenal, they worked so hard and didn't stop, both packing us up and unloading the other end (we had 2 different crews and both were fantastic). They were friendly, really efficient and didn't complain at all about how difficult our house was to move out (narrow kitchen). We were very grateful to both crews for their hard work.
We thought we had paid for them to reassemble our furniture in the new house. The reason we thought this was because we had this conversation with the salesman that we weren't originally going to take some IKEA wardrobes as my husband didn't want to faff about rebuilding them thr other end, but decided to eventually take them because the salesman assured us they could do it. When we arrived at the new house it had 'disassemble only' all over the paperwork, annoyingly we hadn't checked it because we had trusted the sales guy, we appreciate the blame for that is on us for not checking the paperwork properly but we assumed the conversations we'd had with the sales guy were had in good faith, a mistake we wont make again. The removals guys did rebuild the beds for us to be kind but the office wouldn't let them do the wardrobe as it would delay them getting back on the road, so we were left with a wardrobe in 100 pieces we hadn't wanted to take in the 1st place!
After they left we realised the lawnmower was missing. We phoned the office and was dealt with by a very very nice man called Steve said he would look into it. We sort of rolled our eyes and thought that would be the end of it but he called about an hour later to say he had spoken to both crews, the 1st one remembered putting it on and the second one didn't remember taking it off. He was very apologetic and said he would be looking at the CCTV footage of the depo where the truck had been stored over night. He made it clear he didn't suspect either crew and we agreed with him that we didn't either, the crews were fantastic. He phoned back the next day to say they couldn't see anything but would replace our lawnmower with a brand new one, which he did the next day. We were grateful to Steve for how efficiently he dealt with it all.
In conclusion I wouldn't use them again just because of the salesman making things difficult and the way I was spoken to by Chris, but they did move us efficiently and got the job done.
*Since writing this review we have received a satisfactory response and a £50 cheque from Armishaws.

From start to finish the whole experience was top quality.
The phone calls were handled professionally with all questions being answered politely with an explanation of the process from start to finish.
The movers themselves were friendly, professional and worked hard getting us out of our old house and into our new one quickly but without being rushed.

The whole moving experience was very good and well done. The team who actually packed and moved us were absolutely excellent. However I think the team were overworked/under resourced, they could have done with another person to make their job a little less pressured.

I can't speak highly enough of Armishaws. From the moment they agreed to do a move from London to Dorset, over two days, to make it less tiring and stressful, I knew we were in good hands. I found all the people I dealt with unfailingly courteous and helpful, despite delays in being able to confirm a completion date. The guys who did the move were brilliant. They worked hard and were cheerful and good humoured, even when several pieces of furniture resisted been placed where we'd intended! Watching them move stuff was like watching master craftsmen at work - they were absolutely worth every penny - and nothing was damaged in the move. Thank you, Armishaws, for making what can be a stressful time so much easier.

Our move took four days and the removers worked extremely hard in very hot weather. However on day one, six men packed and loaded. Day two four men. Day three, three men then a long drive. On arrival, small van unloaded and left, leaving two men to unload into day four. Their boss telling them they were needed in another town. So they rushed and things were broken. Estimator promised more than was delivered.

They worked really hard but turned up bomber an hour late and look 10 hours as only 2 guys to moved to and from same town, estimator really under estimated and was told they may not get it all to fit which may incur a change but managed to get it all in in the end.Found half a can of cider which was mine in garage they obviously helped themselves too and used 2 toilets n left them dirty! Helped themselves to tea coffee before packing up the kitchen then wrapped up the filthy mugs. Not a very professional service.
*After the manager had read this review he contacted me straight away and assured me that this wasn't acceptable and not to the high standard they work by so a one off experience, I have been compensated and had a sincere apology and the people responsible for letting the company down will be dealt with, I am happy with the result.

We would like to thank Armishaws for the service they provided from the chap (Craig) coming out to give us the quote to the chaps (Wayne & Darryn) removing all our furniture and belongings, taking great care to pack it into containers.
It all went very smoothly which helped my wife and myself from getting stressed.

Please for your own sake do NOT use this company, there are plenty of other well respected removals companies out there. We are paying the price of 4 years in storage and subsequent delivery to our new home. The claims service is an absolute joke and the removal men completely ignored our pleas to put on shoe covers provided before going on the carpet. We had to have 3 rooms completely replaced and are out if pocket by thousands. They offered £100 as a gesture if goodwill. Please trust me that there are better ways to move house or store your items.

They insisted on a deposit that was largly pointless as then when I got a move date months later they said they didn't have the resources to handle the move anyway?
Not only did they leave me in the lurch but sent the deposit back by the slowest method possible a cheque in second class post.
Then the team seemed unable to fathoms why this was a problem.
Completely the opposite experience to the lies the sale man who did the survey was spouting.
Disgusting customer service.
Further to the comments from Amishaws bellow. Appearently you don't keep crews on hold for the level of work you've committed yourself too?
Something that was garanted by the person that came and quoted?
Also the other person who was moving with me Died in the middle of the selling process. So sorry it was a little inconvenient for you to fulfil the service obligations you'd taken a deposit to gurentee delivery of?
Sorry my Dad died Pat?
Your right that must have been very difficult for you guys to work round?
That did for "some reason" hold up the process and with nursing him through his eight week illness, dealing with his sudden death and then burying him I was a little distracted so your right it must of seemed like frightful shock to be expected to do half what you'd been hired to do (because one half of your costumers had died Pat?) with only 3 weeks notice?
I'd of expected better treatment and more respect of me and my Family from a "Family" run business?
But there we go?
I would welcome a copy of all of those hi tech recordings you have? Perhaps you'd like a secretary to transcribe them and telegraph them to my local post office? I can read them while i'm waiting two weeks in the year nineteen hundred and ten for my cheque to arrive and clear... as you noted in your response you having sent it only three weeks before my compleation date?
Good job you too are proving another member of your team to compleatly not understand the problem Pat?
Very classy Pat?

We signed a contract twice with Armishaws, and paid a deposit. The second contract was after they increased the price by 25% when we notified them that our completion was to be delayed to 8th August. When we confirmed the completion date as 8th August the day we exchanged contracts, they let us down and said they could not move us - no communication to warn us until we phoned them, I was told by the sales manager Chris " we deal with 50 moves a day, you had only ONE to worry about" Unbelievable response and what is the point of paying a deposit?
Put simply Armishaws is a company that needs to look closely at their staffs customer service skills and perhaps some training on how to be professional about the way it does business and treats its customers. We were left to seek alternatives at the last minute, the sales manager had no compassion or understanding. My advice is to not use them if you want to be sure you want to move when planned, smoothly and without issue of being let down.

Great removals service into store. Friendly efficient team, fed with doughnuts. Some phased looks at the two large garden pot plants discussed with the guy who visited and quoted. Some lack of clarity as to whether or not they’d be dead by the time I move into my new house! Didn’t get the idea from the team that they’d necessarily be watered unless they were washing a van nearby! I figure the memory of the doughnuts might count for something in this regard! Altogether a great service so far.

The office team and the delivery teams were always very helpful and friendly.
I had my house removals put into their storage facility, everything was packed extremely well into large wooden crates and itemised. My contents stayed in these crates inside their indoor storage facility so there was no risk of damage.
Great all round service
