This review is based on the Stannah Stairlift we bought in Singapore through the dealer : Arian Corporation Pte Ltd.
We just got the Stannah stairlifts in Singapore from Arian Corp Pte Ltd for barely 4 months, initially everything is great, but recently after 4 months, it started to give weird stuttering sound during operations and the transit is not smooth while traveling and also the remote failed to work. Notified Arian company 2 weeks ago via email and asked for help but no one respond. Finally 3 days ago, while my elderly mom travelling downwards, it stopped in the middle of stairs and the chair started to roll downwards ! It is so bad that the track railing has a crack on it. Fortunately she was able to grab hold of the rail handle to prevent the fall ! However, she was very frightened. We asked for servicemen, they came later and one of them claimed that they will try to service and if it is beyond repair, we would have to pay for the damage ! I've not heard of such ridiculous & irresponsible service comments. This is definitely a dangerous piece of equipment and we are losing faith using this machine. How can we be sure this won't happen again and if the company has done enough safety backup protection plan if this incident ever happen again ?!
