I have been using answering legal for roughly 5 years now... best decision I have ever made. As a solo practitioner answering legal gives me exactly what I need. When I'm in court and cant get to the phone, answering legal takes a perfect message and lets me know immediately via email and text. When it is 2am and a client calls regarding a pressing issue... answering legal will always take a message and let my client know I will get back to them at the first available opportunity. As a solo practitioner, im not sure I could do what I am able to do without the help of answering legal. Not only does answering legal take great messages, but the staff also listens to my clients and makes them feel as if they are talking to dedicated office staff. Answering legal has made a huge difference in my ability to not only service my clients, but also maximize my time and efficiency, which results in happier clients and increased profitability for my practice.

I have been impressed when I am the office, but still receive calls from Answering Legal, advising that someone is on the line who needs to speak with me. That's what for. Unfortunately, there have been times when Answering Legal has intercepted the call before the phone has even rung in my office. I was under the impression that Answering Legal is there if we don't pick up in the office.
Otherwise, the service is excellent.

I got the service for the free trial, with every intention to get the trial and cancelling.
I have been with them ever since! It has done nothing but alleviate my phone time. The operators are professional and courteous. I wish I had this service before.

This is a very good service, especially for a solo practitioner. The operators are very police and professional, and the messages are for the most part concise and understandable. Occasionally they get a name misspelled, but I suppose that is to be expected. I also have one client tell me they had difficulty understanding the operator. However, the great majority of my clients tell me that they had very good experiences.

Consistently friendly and savvy phone answering 24/7/365. Been with this service for years now. I recall one small hiccup in the past two years or so but it was truly minor and it was taken seriously by the service and there has otherwise never been even one problem.

This service has been a God-send for me; I have been a solo practicing criminal defense lawyer for 20 years and, with no receptionist, I have lost many potential new clients over the years. With Answering Legal's ability to (a) try to patch me in to potential new clients, and (b) sending me an instant text message and email alerting me to that possible new client, my business has been booming.

I am a solo attorney who generally does everything myself, including answering the phones. I was somewhat skeptical of using an answering service. After my experience with Answering Legal I don’t know why I waited so long. They do basic intake of each call, with a summary of the caller’s information sent via text and email. This intake is customizable for your particular practice. The process of patching calls works well. They do a good job of screening out spam (which does not count against your monthly allotment of minutes). I have also found that it makes a big difference for a client to have a person answer the phone rather than voicemail. Unlike other services, they are 24/7. The cost of the service is very reasonable compared with other services but, unlike the others, Answrring Legal only services lawyers.

Three times they over charged me and ran unauthorized charges on my credit card. Unresponsive and unhelpful tech support. Sub par messages. Direct quote from a Judge calling into my office once it was finally transferred "Your phone service is horrible".
Oh, and just after getting a call with the owner, Robert, he told me he was bringing up all of the recorded phone calls - SURPRISE! First time I heard of this- that's illegal in the State of Maryland where our firm is based out of and if he's recording phone calls from my office this is a HUGE PROBLEM.

I called today about their free trial and the owner himself answered. It was one of the most bizarre conversations I have ever had. ( And I'm a criminal defense attorney who has bizarre conversations on a daily basis.) I explained that I was looking for an answering service to handle calls for a specific marketing campaign--and possibly for my office as a whole. I asked to get set up for the trial so I could test it out and the owner told me that it was a complete waste of his time. Instead, he suggested that I pose as a potential client and call attorneys who use his service. Obviously, I didn't feel comfortable doing this. I asked him why he advertised a free trial if it was a waste of time, to which he responded by screaming at me that he has been doing this for 18 years and knows what works and that I should take my business elsewhere and hung up on me. The whole thing was very strange. If they treat their own customers like this, I can only imagine how they would treat mine.

I have used this service for over four years.
