The costumer services is pour no answer in decent time. People working on my case just playing with me don’t take time to update or give you options in 2 years this two months are a nightmare for me I don’t recommend.

Melissa was AMAZING today and I hope someone recognizes her! When I had all of my money in my bank account placed on hold on my account due to a judgement/court order, she had all the information I needed to calm me down and help me think straight. She spoke with a supervisor and got my account looked at right away. I am still waiting for the results to go thorough and my hold to be lifted, but after talking to her and having her explain the process to me, I feel a ton better knowing that everything should be ok. Hope this all works out!

Honestly, unless you're at your most desperate with nothing to lose, don't bother with this company. Here's my story: during a difficult time with an injury my credit balances grew pretty high. Although I've always had an excellent credit score my high balances were dragging me down. My kid was about to graduate and head off to college which is what brought me here. The original person I spoke with told me that I wouldn't qualify for a debt consolidation and Anchor was my best bet. I would be on a payment plan for about 4-1/2yrs and I would be out of debt. They did tell me that the first year my credit would go down, but as I made payments it would quickly go back up because I would be settling debts faster. My one and only concern was my daughter's college education and being able to get loans. I was assured time & time again that this wouldn't affect that process and it would even help because my balances would decrease. What they don't really tell you in the beginning is that the first year or more your payments are solely paying their fees. What they do is ignore the creditors for the first year or so until they've exhausted all their collection efforts and finally settle. They also don't tell you that some DON'T settle. I have been in the program for 2 years. One debt is settled by me making payments for 2 years. This stays on your credit report as deliquent and for the full amount until it is completely paid off. Another creditor, which according to Anchor, is one of their most aggressive, has sued me, sent a sherrif to my house with paperwork exclaiming in front of the whole neighborhood that "it looks like you owe someone money!", put a lien on my house and has tried to garnish my wages. In the profession that I am in, this most definitely would have gotten me fired. After spending countless hours on the phone with Anchor and zero response from the "litigation team", I had to refinance my house to be able to pay them. Which after court costs and 2 yrs of late fees, is a substantially higher amount than I owed to begin with. There has been absolutely no action/response from the "litigation team". They never replied to any of the creditors requests. Yes the customer service on the phone is excellent but that's as far as it goes. They can't do absolutely anything for you but take your information and forward it to someone else who will never get back to you. And the best part? I have been denied student loans so my daughter will not be returning this semester becauseI I am in financial ruin, I had to refinance and start my mortgage all over again and I am not in any better of a situation than I started. All the promises I was made in the beginning were empty promises:(
All the great reviews on here about customer service are a little misleading because yeah they're great, but they literally just answer phones (after extremely long hold times). They go over your information, are empathetic to your call, then tell you someone will contact you and no one ever does. I completely regret my decision to approach my debt reduction this way. I think I could've done a better job going straight to the creditors myself.

I would put zero stars if I could. I have called and called and called and nothing gets done ever. I am so sick of being used by this company. They haven't fulfilled any of their promises or even held up their end of the contract. I have an account with Capital one that it has been 4 months since receiving a settlement for and Anchor refuses to release the funds from my account. I don't understand this company's complete and utter disregard for their client. I have followed all of their instructions and just keep getting screwed over by them. I am being garnished as well because they dropped the ball several times with my accounts. I cannot stress enough that if you want to remain sane and have your debt taken care of, then stay away from this company. It has caused me to sink further into debt and my health has declined from the stress as well. You are better off battling creditors alone than with them.

I would never use this company again and would never recommend anybody to use them. Once they have your money you become a nothing. Despite calls, chase ups promised replies that never happen you never hear back. Cases went to court and the promised legal service never happened, so I ended up paying in full. Eventually, after the court dates, I had a legal person who I heard from three times. He did not do anything. I have since taken over and cleared some of the owing myself. I have not heard from anybody at Anchor for around year, they are a nothing and as usefull as a chocolate firegaurd... AVOID THEM

I am having a hard time with this new process and the way clients are being treated. This has nothing bbn to do with this last call but one out of five calls is decents and you get help the rest will belittle the client or just be flat out disrespectful. I came to this program to get help and when I need help and am getting pulled into court because no one is taking this serious. I now have to go to court with absolutely no support from Anchor. I have NEVER been brought to court. After three years where the first two were decent I will never re commend Anchor to anyone. Due to this last year with Anchor I have had to start counseling for my personnel health for the first time in my life. Thanks!!

From day one, they have been clear and concise on how the program works. They have answered all questions with a professional curtesy that exceeds expectation! Everything that they said would happen has happened as described and I’m already seeing my credit score starting to rise after just a year. I would recommend them to anyone!!

The customer service representative that I talked to was very good. My problem is I sent in paperwork to pay off my program and little did I know that my email would sit for 24 to 48 business day hours ( 3 to 6 days) This was not clearly defined in the emails that were sent for me to sign and send back to you and GCS.

I have been dealing w/this company for exactly a year now, faithfully sending my money in. Not once to I get updated on my account, I am being sued, and have no idea where I stand as far as that go. I call and have to wait for 15mins for someone to get on the phone, and then when they do, they bring up my account and can't tell me anything, they have to put me on hold to go ask someone. Very frustrating, I was told when i signed up that in roughly 7 to 8 months I would start seeing improvement on my credit score....well its gotten worse. Im a single mom who works hard and is doing everything Ive been asked to do, and I have no idea what is going on with my account.

My one experience when I asked for them to send me the name of all my creditors so I could pay off my account went well. No other experience has been good. In fact, over the past three years, every communication has been frustrating and I have been on hold. One time, I was on the phone a full 3 hours trying to get one piece of information. It doesn't even seem like the person I'm talking to works for anchor.
So, bottom line, this guy was acceptable. Nobody else has ever been, so I cannot give you a good review overall. If I could put 0 stars I would.
