A policy should never be cancelled. If a condition is bad before hand the preimums should reflect that. Rule number one. The customer is right rule number two, if the customer is grumpy, he is still right. Rule number three, customers put food on your table. Rule number four. See rules one through three. Im not in good hands with allstate. They dont need my business.

Please do not choose allstate! I was with them for years and they dropped me with NO warning. No calls no letters no nothing. Claimed too many accidents when most all were not my fault (deer, weather conditions). I was told by multiple reps that theres nothing they can do. Extremely cold and rude people. They do not care about their clients! Meanwhile my family suffers. I have home insurance with them as well which I will be cancelling. Horrible customer service. I've worked in customer service for 15 years, I know when I see bad service. If you care about your family, never choose allstate.

Our family has been with Allstate for decades, with multiple properties insured through them. However, they lost all of our business when we filed one single claim -- for water damage inside a wall -- and they found a way to weasel out of giving us any help toward repairs. I knew I was in trouble when we had the contractor in to look at the problem and he said, "This will definitely be covered by homeowners insurance -- unless you have Allstate, they will fight to avoid paying you anything." He was right. The agent even implied that we were negligent homeowners for not discovering the problem -- which was hidden behind a wall -- sooner. Not only that, but an Allstate rep discussed our policy at length, revealing many details of our contract, with someone WITHOUT KNOWING WHO IT WAS OR HOW THEY WERE RELATED TO US. Suffice it to say, your personal information is NOT safe with Allstate.

Allstate is the biggest joke in insurance! DO NOT use them. They keep sending me junk mail and Im about to send them an envelope full of glitter bombs because they are that pitiful. I don't know who runs this company but they should be fired. I continue to get FAKE quotes then when I have called it's over $1000 more and they claim they bought my information which should be illegal and based the quote off of that. Then they email me with another fake quote. They want way too much and use way too many excuses as to why it's so high and apparently according to the other reviews they don't cover jack. There are companies out there who will actually appreciate their customers. You're NOT in good hands with Allstate. They need to go bankrupt.

This is by far the worst insurance company to ever do business with. I have never been late with a payment, no accidents or tickets in 12 years. I was ONE day late posting my payment and they cancelled my policy. They are thieves no other name describes this company. I have since gone with nationwide they have given me more coverage and discounts that Allstate never did. If I would have known they were this low my business would have never gone there. I hope my review will help others. My advice run from this company!

Went to Allstate office in Decatur and set up home/auto policies and auto debit from checking account. Had this account for a few years and they were constantly sending changes to policy etc, which I never asked for. Didn't pay much attention until I had a debit from my checking for 260ish$.
I called Decatur office and they had no idea who I was and said they don't manage my account some office I had never heard of in Fort worth does. Woman was rude and acted as if I was stupid for not knowing this, despite the fact I had set up eveything at that office.
Cancelled my policy with other office - well before the bill was due and they stopped the auto debit from my checking. Then they sent me a bill. I thought it was autogenerated, so I didn't pay it. They sent it to collections. Absolute thieves. All of them.

My wife and I were rear ended by an Allstate insured driver. We were at a stop light and he was looking down (probably phone) and he hit us. We have filed a claim with Allstate, taken all the pictures they have asked for but now Allstate can't get ahold of their customer so they can verify he was at fault. I gave Allstate the police report number but that report won't be ready for another 10 business days. We have had no help with a rental at this point nor has the claim process moved any further along so we are stuck with paying for a rental and have a busted car. The next step is contact an attorney and let him figures this whole thing out.

Thanks Allstate for being the absolute worst. Not only is my husband's birthday ruined due to the news of you not paying for a claim YOUR insured did, now i am out of a van, which will in turn ruin my job and make it incredibly difficult to put food on the table for my kid. when calling to file a claim the representative was quick to say they couldn't help. Despite video evidence at the place the incident occurred, allstate has now let us know they are denying the claim and will only look into it if somehow the store will release the footage to us personally. (We all know how that goes), kind of a odd slogan for allstate to ask us if we're in good hands if they don't seem to care if we actually are in good hands.. I worked for allstate and actually loved it, but to see the insured side of things is real eye opening. Glad that I have stuck by USAA as I know I'm covered. Thanks allstate for giving me that reassurance to not using you in the future nor referring others to you as well.

OPERATOR DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH, POLICE WERE CALLED (OFFICER ML FISHER) AND PASSENGER IN THE OFFENDING VEHICLE SPOKE BROKEN ENGLISH AND CORROBORATED MY VERSION AS TO WHAT HAPPENED. Allstate screwed me! I have been a loyal customer for years. I was supposed to have full coverage on my vehicle. I asked for full coverage on my car!! I had the rental car reimbursement and comprehensive and everything else except collision. Of course i dont find this out until i get into a wreck where i hit the center median on the freeway. Thinking my car is covered just to get a call from the claims adjuster telling me my car is not covered. I ask for an investigation because they supposedly record their calls and if they did they would HEAR ME SAY I WANTED FULL COVERAGE. I NEEDED MY CAR TO BE COVERED NO MATTER WHAT!!. But conveniently for them im told they cant access those recordings. Im a single mom with 2 kids and now no car and no money to get a car. Cause allstate couldnt cover the $3,000-$4,000 max to cover my car. Thats spare change to the company and they couldnt actually not couldnt, wouldnt...they wouldnt help a loyal customer. So take my advice and DONT GO THROUGH ALLSTATE. YOU ARE NOT IN GOOD HANDS!!

I'M WRITING TO SHARE MY DISAPPOINTMENT WITH MY HOMEOWNERS CLAIM FOR HAIL DAMAGE. I have read the comments of olegh md, Cody Whaley, Robert, Joe Hall and P.M Thomas. All of their experiences echo my experience with trying to get assistance for my roof replacement. I was bewildered by the suggestion of making patches on my roof, but I now see that is a tool to deny a claim in future like olegh.
I had an adjustor come out who commented he had five roof inspections on one Sunday, they were scheduled on three side of Houston, Katy, Livingston and League City the mileage near 300 miles, six hours driving.
Do think he was rushed on the inspection?
I have been told emailed.. photos from inspector do not indicate hail damage, they only made note of missing shingles and they want patches made. We have had four different people look at roof, they have all agreed there is hail damage.
We have taken photos with roofer.. I mailed actual photos to adjuster. She and photos have gone missing. Enter new adjustor he can't reach fellow adjustor or her supervisor and he insists on email pictures. I don't have scanner or equipment to email.
NEITHER DOES MY AGENT. She has agreed to take to Kinkos to email but then we are back to quality of transmission...its a loop you can not escape!!!
Sad thing is the short sightedness of policy to deny claim. It sends client who pays for new roof on to new insurance company and that company has 10 or more claim free years!!!

Allstate offers lower premiums and better coverage than my previous insurance company (Liberty Mutual), but their people just flat suck rocks. Both my local agent in Loganville Georgia and his office manager are incompetent. When I tried to sign up for the insurance, they put in a lot of wrong info, starting with my name. The one and only thing they got right was my Visa number. And that is EXACTLY the one and only thing they care about. Forget trying to get ahold of them - they work 9-5 M-F and don't even answer their phones then or respond to e-mails. The 1-800 number is useless - none of the reps can change anything. Allstate is absolutely a throwback to the bad old days. I gave them two stars for the low premium and zero for anything else.
UPDATE Allstate posted a response below asking me to e-mail them. That is a PRIME example of how lazy and careless they are. They have ALL of my contact information yet they are too lazy to reach out to me. They want ME to reach out to them, yet again! So if you needed any proof that what I have said is true, Allstate has conveniently provided it right here.

I have had 2 encounters with an Allstate customer hitting me and it being the other persons fault. Even the police reports said it was the other persons fault. But Allstate does their own BD investigation and always comes back and days we find it was not our customers fault therefore you get nothing. Now I have insurance and I can get the car fixed again but this is just plain BS. They do not pay out claims. The car is damaged and because of the damage water is getting in now and they will not even look at the car. They made a dedication based on their customers testimony and did not even look at my car or ask me any questions.

On 7/21/20 in a NY Heatwave they left me waiting over 4 hours until I called a tow truck myself. Allstate never showed up. I'd still be waiting for them. Run don't walk away. They are a bad joke. I was a paying member for 4 years and this was the first time I aver used them. Don't make the same mistake. They are worthless.

Yesterday my mother (65) had a flat tire (w/no spare new cars) in Los Angeles, California; Due to her job, she needed a vehicle, so we swapped cars. I waited for 3 hours for a tow. I was not upset, and the car was taking to my apt since shops were closed at the hour they arrived. Today I called to have the vehicle now towed to a shop. The wait was 96mins when I called 115mins; your REP stated that the tow company canceled. I spoke to the rep and told him I'm upset, and what bothers me, even more, is that my mom would have had to deal with this; the closest tow is 120 mins away. So now Allstate has made me wait 8 hours for a two in two days. I asked to speak with the Supervisor (Axel Castro) and asked for some sort of compensation for the inconvenience voucher 10/15% off etc. He stated that you guy don't own the tow company's and their human Allstate calls the company, and the service ends them. I thought it was roadside Assistance, and how in the second largest city number one with cars, the wait is so long? He said we use 40 service providers I asked if he could follow up to ensure there was not a closer truck and that all companies we're called. He stated his agent took care of it. I asked again, so you don't feel the need to follow up to check he said no. I want to know Where is the accountability for a customer if your agents think they are only in the service of Connecting customer to provider it makes sense why I don't feel like I received roadside assistance it should be a roadside connection. Furthermore, if your wait is hours in Los Angeles with 40, when do you as a company, decide to expand the providers? Ref 106617251

The website squaretrade.com that you power for them has many glitches in the website & have the exact same glitches in the mobile app. They offer protection plans for items purchased at walmart. The website should have first been tried out by allstate agents prior to approving for website. once the website glitches were worked out THEN a mobile app could have been made. very poor customer service for an insurance company expecting customers to work out computer glitches that allstate agents should have worked on with the design team prior to approving website & mobile app.

May 25,2020 we were hit by an EF1 Tornado and to date we have NOT been paid one penny for our damages. ALLSTATE plays the Confused, Lost, Slow play, Let me take this to my manager Game until they can wear you out. DO Not think you are different and that ALLSTATE will treat you better or even fairly. If you are an ALLSTATE Customer, Get away from them ASAP, Signed; Sleeping on my Couch since the Tornado PS: I had to select 1 star or I could not Post. Should be a Negative Star selection option!

About quarter of our roof was blown damaged by recent storm Isaias. As it turned out to be our roof was patched up about 10 years ago after another hurricane. It happened with prior owners. At that point they didn't completely removed old tiles but put another layer on the top of 15 years old damaged roof. This time this upper layer got partially blown off leaving us with 24 years old original roof. And AllState refuses to cover roof replacement. They gave us $4k to put another set of patches. All roofers I had coming for inspection strongly advised to replace the whole roof, they say that putting new shingles on a top of the old ones or mixing shingle brands voids shingle warranty, but AllState thinks otherwise. I would give them 0 if I could. They'll screw you right when you vulnerable the most.

I had my worst experience with Allstate insurance company. Mostly because of Evita Reynaga their agent or not sure who is she. My car's accident happened on 16th of May 2020 and from that time till July 31 I was negotiating with them all that period. The accident happen at the parking lot of Ross store and cameras fixed it, everything was very evident I saw video of impact, it was 100% another sides fault, but evita said that they cannot get the video footage, After long negotiations she accepted that accident's fault is lying mostly on their customer, in video is very clear that at the time of impact my car wasn't moving, but anyway she agreed on 65% of estimate (which was their company's estimate and very low, almost half amount of real expenses). But she wasn't hurrying to send my check. 2- 3 weeks ago I called to corporate office and found a person named Diana who transferred 65% to our account. Thanks to her. I don't know if it's company's policy to play on time or customer's health, or just evita's personal approach to us. This is the last company I will ever recommend to anyone.

I'm not surprised to see a 2-star average for AllState here on Trust Pilot.
It shouldn't take three months to update bank details. Bank account numbers shouldn't be emailed. $900,000 shouldn't be missing from a life policy. Smashed, wiggly door handles should be replaced, not painted over. Significantly hail-damaged roofs should be replaced (like the house next door), not "repaired".
I have never once felt like I am "in good hands" with AllState. Don't make the same mistake I did by buying multiple policies. I don't recommend buying even one, no matter how good it looks at first. Our homeowner's policy premiums have increased massively.
It's not so easy to leave when you have a 20-year life policy and damaged roof...

My home have water damage come from a busted pipe Allstate never covered it they actually sent a adjuster Allstate is a scam there's only out to get your money they will not pay your damages for homeowners insurance or car insurance my wife is never and I mean never pick allState what you're looking at is my crawl space and it was filled with water and after time it started making my foundation wave I called Allstate and see if I was covered they told me oh no you're not covered and it was covered because it was a busted pipe
