Allied Pickfords Reviews

I used Allied Pickfords to pack up my stuff in Sydney in 2005 and to store it while I was overseas ... which turned out to be for 15 years. I recently got home and had the stuff re-delivered, expecting it to be mouldy and rotten and to need to be thrown out ... but everything was pristine. I am still boggling. Very impressive, and nice guys to deal with - the guys who came to deliver the stuff were also very switched-on about Covid which was reassuring.

We had a good experience using Allied Pickfords shipping from Canberra Australia to Pasadena California. Price came out to about $AU 1650 with insurance for about 2.1 cubic meters (including two bikes). This was door-to-door.

It did take a little longer than expected and there were some inspection fees levied on the US side that were in addition to quote price. These are normal and are levied by the government. There are some inevitable uncertainties with moving stuff such large distances but at least the company is transparent about where your stuff is. They were able to provide me with a tracking number for the vessel and some information about when it arrived. There was a bit of run around with organizing delivery times but overall it was good considering the competitors.

Sometimes it's better to pay a little more for a reputable company, at least your stuff will turn up.

After two years of my belongings (furniture, clothing, etc) being in storage with Allied Pickfords in the Middle East (two extreme hot summers in storage) - it arrived to my new abode in the UK yesterday.
Everything was in excellent condition, nothing broken and nothing missing.
