Health care service for those living in the USA is not very helpful. There are long delays in having bills settled, especially bad for dental bills. It is confusing to know who to contact when delays or problems arise: Allianz directly, Olympus Health or AETNA. Often it seems that AETNA acts as though the coverage is its US standard, not what is actually provided for under our negotiated health coverage with Allianz - for example, the doctor has prescribed 6 pills, but AETNA will only pay for 4 pills as one time.... Very frustrating! And because of long delays in doctors/dentists receiving payment from AETNA/Allianz, they follow-up by billing me directly.

The response and follow up of the person in charge was excellent.
I think that the amount deducible when the services are local or in the residence country should be an amount in quetzales or the local currency, not in dollars. When the deducible is in dollars, the insurance does not cover in the residence country because is too high

They should treat each claim with importance, and provide timely feedback.
However I must admit that their turn round time with regard to claims payment has improved in recent weeks.
I still have a claim made over a year ago, which has still not been paid because the asked for additional information which took sometime for me to obtain because the doctor was not immediately available. They should understand that somethings are beyond our control. In this case where the doctor was not available, there was no way of me getting the additional information in timely manner. My follow up requests do not elicit responses that give me any information on the status of processing my claim. I am therefore looking forward to some useful information from Allianz.

Gut waren waren die beratenden Telefonate, sehr freundliche hilfreiche Mitarbeiter haben sie. Allerdings finde ich es irritierend, daß ich zweimal jährlich den Eigenanteil aufbringen muss, weil meine Firma mich während der Schiffszeit über P&O versichert. Auch der 20% Eigenanteil bei Medikamenten ist neu, oder?

The claims for my part are fine. But the claims which I sent on behalf of my bosses (with their signature block in the email) were replied to me and did not cc the relevant claimant. Please also send/cc replies to the relevant claimants.
