My pictures arrived yesterday and I can not tell you how happy I am! I don’t believe it is even me in the photos.

Lots of rules around what happens if you cancel or reschedule within 7 days. You pay basically. But what happens when THEY cancel an HOUR before the session? When they rang it was a sore throat, now it's conveniently a "contagious flu". Sure. What happens when THEY stuff YOU around. Nothing. You wear it. They have a day off.
So, my costs. As I don't live in sydney, I had to plan well, and they knew it.
They even reiterated the effects of changing or cancelling a booking within 7 days, during our most recent planning call. At which point, I confirmed that all accomodation was booked and there would be no changes on my end.
My costs (3 days off work - so no income, travel, accomodation, parking, pet sitting, tolls etc) - about $2,300. Yep. Just to get there. Now imagine, that I attempt to do this again, with a photographer who actually shows up (not that I can imagine EVER putting myself through this again at this stage) - I have to pay ALL of that AGAIN! so around $4,600! That's before a camera even points in my direction.....
Now soft costs, given that is was clearly branding for a product launch - delays. At least twice the above. We now can't print any paper or digital promo's, or commence our advertising as planned, and as such - I doubt we'll be able to meet our November goals. At least $10K out on that front. And that is being hopeful. Which is hard - given the gigantic rogering I just recieved from this lot.
What is their suggestion? Oh - "hopefully you'll find someone close by who can do this at short notice today". Yeah. Because a primary shoot for branding and promo - doesnt require any planning. Or discussions around outcomes. Or anything like that. I can just pick a bloke out of the yellow pages, turn up, and expect a professional output. Thanks - for that super helpful response to YOUR lack of professionalism.
Seriously - think long and hard about risking your business with this lot. I can't quite believe how much this has cost me - in money, confidence and business. In fact - it may be time to get some legal advice on that.
