I purchased a book that I never received... 2 months later I am waiting for my refund. What a bunch of Crap... Always look up reviews before purchasing an item if I would have seen these I would have Never ordered from them... Looks like I will be waiting for my refund for a long time >: °(

Paid for a book online back on June 17 I never received the book and I can't get in contact anyone I've sent 20 emails called and left several messages
And I keep coupons emails to me as if am going to buy another book from them. The shipping status show shipped but never got it. This is bad company to do business with awful custmer service

Book arrived 2 and a half months after it shipped in horrible condition. Do not buy from here if you need a textbook for a course! They take forever to ship and do not communicate! Never received tracking info until a week before it came in by surprise!

I ordered a textbook sold by MoreBooks from this website. The book was to arrive on Aug. 26, but when it didn't, I wrote sent an email inquiry. "Nicole" wrote back and stated that its ETA was September 4th. I told her that was too late so I'd have to make other arrangements and that I'd be returning the book for a refund. Nicole stated she would notify the 'shipping department' to send info on how to return the text and get a refund. It never happened. I tried to look up the address from which the text was sent and guess what?- it's the address of a UPS Store. Moreover, instead of a return address from MoreBooks, the return address name was "Book Sale." I've tried to contact Alibris' but can't even find their email address. WHAT A RIPOFF. Shame on Alibris! I wish I could tell you little more about this MoreBooks 'business." Nevertheless, I will continue to try to contact Alibris and this MoreBooks company to see if I can get a refund and have this matter can be resolved.

The book was shipped a week and half late and took 18 days to get from CA to TX which has set me behind in my class. On top of that the book I received is the wrong version and does not match the ISBN # on the order. This company is not dependable.

I refuse to order from this company with their overpriced shipping! Not to mention they lie on their emails and claim "free shipping" but then later tell you that you have to spend the outrageous amount of $45+ for FREE SHIPPING. That's ridiculous! No business from me EVER!

Alibris generally has good prices for new books. And when things good smoothly it is a very good site for someone like me who buys a lot of books. But if anything goes wrong you may be out of luck because the customer service is indescribably miserable. If you send them a email you are likely to get a canned reply that has absolutely nothing to do with your specific inquiry. Send them another email and try to be more pointed about your question and you are likely to get a different canned response. They must be using robots. In sum, prices are good, but customer service is so bad that I spend a good deal of time looking elsewhere for books. I suspect they are loosing business because of this. A strange way to run a retail operation that depends in part on good customer relations.

On June. 2020 I ordered a book, however the system did not provide me a purchase order number0.
I have complained twice requesting to send me the book or reimburse my mone.
Up to now I have not receive any response at all.
I lost my money and feel cheated for an irresponsible company that doesn't care about customers.
I recommend not to buy any book from this company.

While ordering three books I kept getting a notice that if I spent $39 on a select group of books I would get free shipping. As I met the parameters and went to check out I saw that I was being charged shipping. I emailed Alibris and they said that was just an estimate and at the final step of checkout there would be no shipping charge if I met the criteria. Since it would be free shipping I ordered a number of other books. I placed the order and was charged $30 shipping plus the $77 for the books. I immediately contacted Alibris and they said they could not stop the order and that I would have to contact each bookseller myself. Some orders were cancelled others were not. I'm still not sure what I'm getting or was charged. Going to have to spend more of my time figuring that out What a joy.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT shop here!!! I bought 1 dvd from them and while they claim free shipping I paid more in shipping than I did for the actual DVD I bought.... I waited over 12 days for the dvd to arrive, it was shipped from one town in Florida to another town also in Florida, over 12 days!!! It finally arrived and the disc was all scratched up and when I tried to watch it all it did was skip and freeze!!!! Waste of time & money... RUN to another company, trust me!!!

Site crashed on me three times when trying to order. I gave up and ordered on amazon after checking my email to ensure an order confirmation didnt come through. Next day I got a shipping notification. Noe I am stuck with books I don't need. Customer service is passing the buck on to seller to rectify. This right here is why people will continue to pay for with Amazon.

Up until now my experience with Alibris has been very good. My last order [66821183] consisted of several book. I received all several weeks ago except for one titled 'Queen of the flowers" by Kerry Greenwood.
I tried contacting Alibris about the book but somehow ended up with one of your booksellers. I hate this going around in circles. The email I got confirming the order did include the one missing book, Please help.

Ordered a used book, then the order is cancelled with a note included that hopefully I will repurchase the same book thru them. Same book is available for double the price of my first order - feels like Bait and switch. I have already fond the book for less on eBay.

You are a terrible business and no doubt you won't last long.

5/14/20: A few days ago, I wrote a review where I accused them of cancelling my order only to re-shelf the book to hike up the price. The company gave an explanation as to how my order got cancelled; the possibility of it being double-ordered and since Alibris is an online store for independent sellers, they didn't catch it in time. I will give the benefit of doubt. However, since they didn't explain this until after I complained and didn't provide an explanation before, I will give the company 2 stars. I won't recommend this place and hope I would not have to return to this site for anything else.
5/10/20: I order Initiation in Hermetics for for $35, that was a steal as other sites where charging 5x more. I got a confirmation and notice it was going to be shipped. I get an email that they cancelled the order and I can go to their site to re-order a replacement copy - they are now charging $100. This is company is a capitalistic scum hole.

Because I didn't buy a book that I had previously put in my Alibris shopping cart, I got an email with a coupon for $5.
Unfortunately, the coupon required me to spend 72.42, which was an odd number, double the price of the book I had removed from my cart, so when I decided to put the book back into my cart and try the coupon, I got asked to spend $72.42 before I could proceed!
That doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth regarding Alibris.
Better to have not offered a coupon -- or to at least state with the coupon what the minimum purchase needs to be -- or just offer a smaller coupon that has a minimum purchase more proportional to the price of the book I had previously removed. All those options would be better than a potential customer feeling pleased about an unexpected coupon in the mail that then results in being asked to triple my purchase to use it!

I ordered a book. After a month Ann's a half I still don't have the book. I have sent at least 2 emails requesting they cancel the order so I can order thesame book elsewhere. The decline to cancel it. Totally unacceptable. It is going to be 2 months soon.

Please do not buy from this website it is a 100% a complete scam. I am out 87$ worth of books. There is no call center to complain to when you have a problem with your order and the sellers are fake.
