I ordered a present for my mother over a month ago.
I got a message from DHL to say it had been delivered and signed for despite us not being home that entire week.
When I challenged with DHL they said the driver had left immediately and my item was irretrievable, advising that I should contact Alessi who could submit a claim and resend the item. (These things happen so I understood at this point).
The level of customer service from Alessi has been appalling. Their main customer service number for over 3 weeks was disconnected. I emailed and received a short response telling me I have received the item, without addressing any of my email, which I explained again in response. I finally got through on the phone a week later and they asked me to resend the email, promising an immediate response.
Nearly 10 days later I still haven't heard back.
This is the first review i've ever written because I'm so upset with the money down the drain and no contact. I like the Alessi products but if anything goes wrong, know you will have lost your money, as their customer service is non-existent.

Had a takeaway for 5 people Thursday 4th June worst takeaway we’ve ever had. It was collected, we qualified for free cocktails which weren’t in the bag, had to go back in and ask for them. Arrived home to find naan bread was missing. Starters were passable, mains were awful hardly any chicken all sauce, rice was hard and rubbery. Ordered fish and chips for one meal to find it was fish fingers 🙄. Cocktails were tasty. Dreadful experience first meal from there and it most definitely will be the last .

I adore Alessi products and have a great experience buying them at David Jones for many years. However, my online experience was horrendous. I ordered an item and accidentally clicked pay when I wanted another one as I wanted both and did not want to pay for shipping. I immediately sent an email and a follow up one the next day. No response. I received the items and emailed them regarding the situation assuming they would refund the shipping as they could see what happened. They ignored me, and after complaining to a retail store, they emailed me back. They instead blamed me, lied about the time between purchase and emails (either that or their system is not showing accurate times). I then wrote to Alessi head office with no reply. I wrote on social media a few times and had a messenger response. I was happy they engaged with me but they again ignored me. I tried several times to chat with them but again ignored. Treating a long term passionate and loyal customer with contempt is very strange. What a nightmare - never again!

The worst customer service I have ever seen I have purchased Items on the 17th of April I received no tracking I have contacted Alessi by email ever sense cuz I have not received my Oder and I have call so many times I have lost Count I did not get one reply I wood never oder from Alessi ever agin ❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌

I only received one of seven items I ordered. After many frustrating correspondences (questions on what did I order, what did I receive, what was not delivered... don't they know what they sent?).... I am told I will not be receiving the remaining six items, and should get a refund. Yet the items are still available on sale on their website (why can't they resend?). Now they ask which items need a refund. I was a long term customer, but will most likely not order again. Its a shame.

I purchased 2 items, one for $190 and the other $220. They shipped only one item, the once worth $190. I emailed them and they said the other item would not ship. They did not refund the money. I asked for a refund and they agreed to issue one, but they never did. I am now involved in a lengthy credit card dispute. This company is a joke.

An order was placed, payment details given and screen shot. No delivery.. Took from 30th November till 16th January to get a reply from Alessi, told me the payment had not gone through.. all other orders that day and subsequent days did with other companies.... They bombarded me with emails to buy, but would not answer my query. 16th of Jan they decide to respond and told me I 'Was welcome to reorder' !! Bit late for Christmas ! This is not the first time, last year I received an incomplete order and they made me jump through hoops to receive all that was ordered. I have purchased Alessi since late '80's/ early 90's, NEVER again !

Do not ever purchase something from this company. I ordered an espresso maker on black Friday November 29th 2019 for a christmas gift for a family member. My Alessi package came within a week. However, I received an order of silverware. NOT WHAT I ORDERED. So I sent an email in stating I received the wrong item and needed my espresso maker asap for Christmas. (the one receiving this gift was only going to be in town for a short visit). I had to send in two emails getting zero response before I called the customer care line in the united states for help. They told me there was nothing they could do but flag my email. After a total of 4 or 5 business days i finally got an email back. They wanted pictures of what I had received. Well they wouldn’t send me what I ordered until they got the silverware back. So they sent me ups labels and I brought the package to a UPS drop off site. Well they didn’t take it so I brought it to the post office. Here I was informed I had to pay for the return shipping! I HAD TO PAY TO SEND SOMETHING BACK I DID NOT ORDER. Then I emailed the company and called the united states customer care line. AGAIN no help she said I have to pay and then I will get reimbursed. This has been going for almost a month why would I trust they are going to pay me back for my shipping when I receive the wrong item to begin with and can’t get ahold of anyone who can help me. DO NOT EVER PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY

The worst customer service I have ever encountered. I bought some items on black friday, during the ordering Alessi did not charge my card so I wrote to them the next day and was told by Samatha G that everything was ok and my order was going to be dispatched soon. 2 weeks on I wrote again to be told ''sorry your order has been utomatically cancelled'' please reorder. Extremely good customer service
A long time after the warranty was over, I had a problem with my beloved kettle. So I asked Alessi for advise if it could be solved. They were more than generous with their solution, even though it was way past the warranty period.
I have seldom seen such great service after expiration of warranty!

ALESSI's array of products is just fantastic. You'll be purchasing not just simple objects, but well designed, great quality and rich in culture objects. They produce in Italy. Some other brands, specially the Nordic design ones, have moved their production to China or India, shame on them!
And the customer service is just great. I had a small issue with a coffee maker and they sent me a new one and a letter apologizing for the trouble.
