I was skeptical at first...why do I need a quarter? Where are the bags? But then, I saw the difference. Excellent prices on organic food, which means I can now eat more than one cup of food per day. I haven't run out since Aldi came to town. The staff is paid well, given seats and are very happy. I can now get avocados and organic frozen fruit for smoothies, everyday. The selection could grow, I'm a little disappointed that there's organic milk, but not half and half. Why would you want pesticides, chemicals and pus in your half and half if you didn't want it in your milk? Aside from thatthat, they have special weird deals, like I was saving for over a year to get an 8" memory foam mattress, I had a weird last minute decision to go to aldi. I found one and only one, 8" memory foam mattress, in twin, the only size I could use. It was half the price, so I got it. I have severe degenerative joint disease. Since then, my pain is reduced by at least 60%. Thank you Aldi!

Aldi has generally good prices, but their produce kind of sucks. Also, their staff often seem rushed.

I've been shopping at Aldi for as long as I can remember but in recent years I've been shopping there a whole lot more! The quality of the food has gotten much better and ever since they re-modeled my local store, they provided a larger selection of products to choose from. I get some of my staple groceries there such as bread, spring mix (which is amazing), deli meat, granola bars, bottled water, and frozen veggies for quick meals. Their organic line is also very tasty and reasonably priced, I absolutely love their Simply Nature multigrain tortilla chips! Almost all their off-brand products I've tried are close to indistinguishable from brand names, which they also provide a little of. I live right by the store and can always take my time shopping unless it's super busy! I always look forward to re-stocking anything I need from there, absolutely a money saver and a fun place to shop and try new things.

Aldi has saved me lots of money. It is a discount food store, with great prices, and quality goods. I enjoy this store, and of course, saving money. Take your own bags, or they offer bags for a minimal cost. Yes, you bag your own goods, but it is well worth the extra money saved.

Fantastic prices on all their products. They have some name brands but if you can get by not all name brand and compare labels you will be happy you did. You will save a lot of money and be able to buy more. The organic sections is great and they are reasonably priced. They have everything from breakfast to dessert as well as snacks.
the also sell different things like shelves, toys, storage containers.

The guy we dealt with was a complete douche bag. He yanked the cart out of my hand as if I was gonna steal the stupid damn quarter in the slot. Get over yourself.

I have saved so much money grocery shopping here!! It is remarkable and it feels good knowing I saved so much. And the products are good quality products. It's typically a smaller store and does not have a huge selection like other grocers and sometimes they aren't always consistent with some of the products they carry. Like the fit and active lunches. One week they will have a big variety of the ones I like and the next week, maybe 2 different types to choose from. That is really the only downside I see. I walked out with a $19 spend and got food to last me for at least 2 weeks. Incredible. More stores should operate similar to this.

I have been there once and never again. I did not know anything about the store before I arrived. I received a flyer from them in the mail and thought I would check them out. There was nothing on the flyer stating that a shopper should bring a quarter to use a shopping cart, I did not have a quarter or cash at all for that matter, so I had to carry my items through the store. The prices were not lower than other stores in my area such as Save-A-Lot, and on many items they were higher than Walmart prices. After buying far less than I needed to buy because I don't have a cart, I get to the register and bought a bag to pack my items in, the cashier puts my items into a cart instead of letting me grab them as he scans them. I'm thinking OK, the cart is for pushing them over to the bagging area to bag them there, after all the CASHIER put them in the cart. I go to push the cart after paying and he rudely snatches the cart from me and says "you aren't taking the cart". If I didn't have my little girls with me I would have punched him in the nose, as I have bursitis in my shoulders and he hurt my arm, by snatching the cart. Even my 10 year old daughter was angry at the way the cashier acted toward her father. Aldi's just lost a customer on the first visit as I will drive 20 miles out of the way to avoid shopping at an Aldi's store again.

Aldi is ok as long as you don't mind long lines at the cashier and don't buy produce from them. There pre-packaged food is ok. Not as tasty as the name brands, but considerably cheaper. Their produce always seems to be rotting in the bin. I gave up trying to buy any fresh fruits or vegetables at Aldi as they are spoiled before you get home from store. They usually have only 1 cashier working regardless of how busy they are, so plan on waiting in line to check out.

Ive been using aldi since it pretty much broke onto the markets and have always shopped there, However that old profit over quality issue has finally started showing its face in aldi stores, It wasnt long ago that you could get quality foods in aldi, Normally from carrefour (french hypermarkets) which was very good quality, and the fruit was always first class.
Now its changed, The fruit and veg (and i buy a lot) i get is now tasteless and goes off in a couple of days, I went last week and didnt even buy any because of its appearence.
No longer is their any tinned food or cooked meats of quality, It has been replaced my cheap, very cheap B food.
Like i said Aldi used to be very good but from now on its bk to Asda for me, Aldi was good while it lasted then they like many others got greedy.
