The Ackerman technician, Keith Ruiz, was excellent and very professional. The first thing he did was ask us to explain to him what problems we were having with our system. Then he systematically checked our system. He discovered two issues and repaired them both. Our system is working fine now. Thanks Keith!

This month my monthly payment was supposedly taken out by a computer glitch on October 1st. The payment is supposed to be taken out the 15th of the month. Since they took the money out 2 weeks prior than they should have, my checking out was short for another bill being paid by the 5th. I called customer service and I was told the money would be refunded 3 to 5 business days not helping me with my problem by the 5th. I had to make other arrangements to make my payment to another company having to pay a 12.50 fee to use their service. THIS WAS NOT RIGHT!!!! I never did get the amount credited to my account so I called again and was told once again the credit to my bank account was approved however that never happened either. Their billing department seems to make up their own rules as to taking your money whenever they want from your bank account. I believe that is illegal. I have cancelled my contract with Ackerman and would never recommend them.

I called Ackerman for technical support and was on hold for over 30 minutes. Once an agent came on-line, she couldn't remotely diagnose the problem and said she'd have to send out a technician to research what is going wrong with their system. She then said we would be billed for the technical support reps' time. Ridiculous -- they can't remotely diagnose a problem and don't stand behind their installation. And, they charge a premium for their service -- more than their competition. I'll be moving my monitoring to a firm which is willing to stand behind their work ... and their customers.

Ackerman installed a new system in June, 2019 Has not worked as promised for 5 months. Have repeatedly contacted Company with no success. Have been unable to speak with a management person.

After trouble with my equipment working properly, It was replaced.. I was told I would have a credit for the month of October, however I was charged. Then On 10/21 told I would receive a refund in 5-7 business day. Still have not received it. Not happy with the service received.
Im now getting alerts from a system at an OLD address that I canceled 3- months ago!! Really!!

Tech was great. But Ackerman call center is not good. They are hard to get a hold of. And when we had to change the appointment time, they failed to advise the tech, which caused us a major headache.

I transitioned over to the wireless version of the security system and the representative, Benson, was very friendly. He took his time installing the system and advised me the backup battery was dead and told me what it was for. This is not the first time i had an interaction with Benson. Great representative

Called the 800 # over the weekend to test my system, no one answered. Tried several times, same result. Talked to representative today; she apologized for the weekend failures & stated she would notify the appropriate persons. She then attempted to test my system; to no avail; systems not connecting. Scheduled a tech visitation to check the system a week from this call because, "NO TECHS AVAILABLE IN YOUR AREA" (I've been a customer since 2013).
SO no protection for 7 days, while paying my monthly fees- but Ackerman will waive the $89 tech fee to service their failed system- Question -" if my home has the misfortune of a covered event, who will cover this expense"; per the representative . "your home owners insurance policy should.".
I am insulted and disgusted. Hopefully the CEO Mr. Richard Perry will see this review & make some needed adjustments to better service Ackerman customers in the Southwest Atlanta area.
