Our Eleven Day Private Photography Tour
We arranged a private photography tour for four with Ace. We traveled to a variety of places on a tour designed and scheduled by Ace to give us a look at the cities, villages, hills, and the Himalayas. This included tours of Kathmandu and Pokhara, an Everest flight, a school visit, and time in several small towns and villages. This was a wonderful look at the cities and country and we came away with many beautiful and fascinating photos. Our accommodations were often simple, but service was always outstanding. Our guide, Nimesh, took care of us very, very well and was a lot of fun to spend time with. He, and our driver Suraj, made sure we had what we needed, that we were comfortable, and were able to get the photos we wanted. And did I mention that he was fun to spend time with? Nimesh also often leads trips to Everest Base Camp so he knew a lot about trekking and the mountains. We had a lovely trip. It was well-organized and planned and we loved our time in Nepal.

I started the Everest Base Camp trek with Nimesh in March 2019, and I absolutely loved having him as my guide. At every step, from the initial pre-trip meeting to handling flights to Lukla to directing the porters and dealing with our crazy group, Nimesh was kind, patient, steadfast and intelligent. I hurt my ankle in Namche Bazaar and, since I insisted on continuing, Nimesh quickly arranged a horse and horseman to take me to Tengboche. He treated my ankle that night with knowledge and care. When the next morning it became apparent I could not go on, he immediately called a helicopter and had me on it in less than 20 minutes, then had his friend meet me in Lukla to meet the helicopter and arrange the flight back to Kathmandu. I can’t imagine what it would have been like to try to do all this myself, but Nimesh handled the situation with empathy and urgency.
Nimesh’s insight into the culture, expert counsel to his clients and skill on the trail are beyond compare. Plus, he’s a great conversationalist and very funny, and truly wants to learn about his clients.
I am returning this year for another EBC trip with Ace, and insisted on having Nimesh as my guide—because I wanted the best, and that’s what he is. I can’t wait!

Awe inspiring trek in the Annapurna range
From the beginning, our experience with the Ace staff was wonderful. They were very responsive to all of our questions in the planning stage and provided quick feedback and clear information. Many in our group also had Ace arrange additional day trips to enhance our Nepal trip. These were excellent.
The gear they provided was clean and the right warmth for the mountain conditions.
On the trek, Ram, Sujan and our porters were amazing. In addition to handling the logistics, meals and hauling our duffel bags up the mountain, they shared their joy of the mountains and the culture of Nepal with us. With 11 people, Ram and Sujan were attentive to our safety and how everyone was doing with the hike and the altitude. It was clear that their goal was to make our Trek a once in a lifetime dream trip. They were flexible so ensure each of us got the experience we wanted. I feel like I made some new friends along with wonderful memories of the spectacular Himalayas.

My second time with Ace the Himalaya and I brought 5 friends with me to Annapurna 5 day trek to Poon Hill. We all had a great time. And our guide Dipesh and porters Amish, Sumit and Kismut were outstanding! We’re so happy with their service that we unanimously vote for Dipesh to be “Guide of the Year 2020”. He totally deserves it and he went above and beyond to make us comfortable and made sure I was able to catch my flight out of Kathmandu.

What an amazing trip! Ace the Himalaya has everything taken care of and all their staff were great to work with. Pemba Sherpa was our fearless mountain guide and helped my husband and I hike to Everest Base Camp and summit Island Peak. He was a very experienced guide and always made us feel at ease during the trip. We’d recommend this trip and him as a guide to anyone! Thanks, Pemba. Will never forget this trip.

I usually don’t write reviews but in this case I felt that everyone should know what a world class company Ace really is. From the very first email until even now after the trek is done, they have never failed to keep me in the loop with info, changes and updates regarding my personal questions or anything related to the trip. They are a fast, sufficient and caring company with their hearts in the right place.
I felt very much prepared to embark this journey with Ace and I’m happy I did.
I did the EBC trek in October 2019. Our guides Madan (Lead Guide) and Rupesh (Assistance Guide) where the best guides I could ever wished for.
They both made sure that we were doing fine throughout the trek. Every evening they would inform us of what was going to happen the next day and if there was any concerns or worries Madan had this gift of making us feel better. His positive attitude was very helpful and he made us feel that we could succeed in anything if we put our positive mind to it.
Unfortunately I became sick on part of the trek. Rupesh would always come and check on me a few times a day. Even when the doctor came around for me it was Rupesh who stayed with me. I thought that was very kind of him.
Madan at the other hand was very caring and made sure that I did what I needed to do. He would check up on me all the time, making sure that I drank enough fluid, ate the correct food and take my medicine. He would ask me a few times a day how I was feeling and made sure I was sleeping well. At one point I became very tired and weak. Madan would walk with me, he would never rush me into anything and even carried my bag for me for the last 3 days. He was patient, professional, showed a strong leadership presence, very funny, uplifted, knowledgeable and has a kind heart.
Qualities which will take you far in life but certainly something what is needed as a guide on a challenging trek like EBC.
I believe that if it was not for Madan and Rupesh to be so supportive and caring I might not of made it all the way up to EBC. For this I’m forever grateful.
The porters were young boys with great strength. Our bags were picked up in the morning and dropped off at our next destination before we would arrived without fail. They were always happy and polity.
If you can live without internet, hot water and luxuries for some time, if you love mountains and are open for different food and culture. If you dare to jump right out of your comfort zone then definitely this is the thing to do. No regrets at all.
Thank you Ace, Madan, Rupesh and porters for this incredible experience. I definitely will recommend you all to my friends and who knows I might even come back one day. Petra x

We just finished at day Poonhill Trek with Ace the Himalaya and we had an awesome experience. Planning was very smooth because of efficient communication. The trip itself went exceptionally well because of our competent guide Dipesh and our 3 porters Sumit, Kismuth and Omish. I highly recommend this company if you are thinking of visiting Nepal!

We recently had a trek with Ace the Himalaya, we did Annapurna to Poon Hill then looped back to Nayapul. The trek was very memorable. Our guide Deepsung rc/ Dipesh did a good job as well as our 3 porters. This company is highly recommended by me. We did our trek first week of January, was cold but we made it! Keep up the good work!

This was by far one of the coolest things i've done in my entire life. Super challenging and super rewarding all at once! Madan and Rupesh were some of the greatest trek guides that I've ever had on any continent - they were so knowledgeable about the history of the trek and they ensured that we were deeply rooted in the cultural experience along the trek. They were also incredibly caring - which is important when you are trekking to new altitudes that you have never been before. They would always be asking us how we felt and if they could get us anything at all. Overall, I would recommend this company to anyone who wanted to trek to EBC - and if you want to have the best experience, try to get a trek led by Madan & Rupesh! :)
