I was trying to call PCMatic and they ended up on the phone.

This company represented itself as an online 24/7 technical support for my laptop. This company billed my credit card ending in 1399 a total amount of $700 on September 25, 2018. Now they are claiming equipment failure and they have no choice but to refund my money. However, they will not simply credit to my account ending in 1399 the $700.00. They requested full access to my computer and passwords. They want me to purchase gift cards (while remaining on the telephone line) and read off the numbers to them. I have been scammed in this same manner once before. Every time they call, they use a different telephone number, the email address is not valid, and they use a different name when they call. I have contacted my credit card company and they recommended I contact you and the State Attorney General to help shut down this type scam. Anything you can do to put these people out of business would be a great help to all consumers. Thanks for your time.
