I with Accor for 2 years and I have limitations in using the vouchers which we not were told some of hotels will under renovation when we sign up and it makes me feel frustrating. I will not support Accor plus in future.

Worst sales executive in India.
I am a member from last 4 to 5 yrs.The sales team is only pitiching selling membership, they r not at all interested with the grivieances of members.
I think they r only concerned with their salaries & or commision that they would receive after successful completion of sale. If u share ur grivieance they just pretend to listen but not at all concern.
Although I have renewed my Membership fo the next year the partner properties r more efficient to look into guest problems & solve them.
I think the properties who r becoming new partners should educate the Accor sales team in India so that they do not give a bad name to their esteemed groups all over d world.

Horrible horrible customer service
They just hang up on you. Abousley NO guarantee and always 100s more than other sites.
I booked and the cost was $495 Australian more than the hotel and other websites.
You are horrific accor. Will never ever use you again.

Pitch to sell with no backup. Called me consistently even when I told them I was in hospital.
I eventually agreed based on misinformation from the sales person.
The very next day when I read the terms from the membership letter confirmation I called to cancel the membership. They did not get back to me for over 3 days, but managed to take the money from my account even though I had canceled before the transaction was done.
I would not use the hotels based purely on the service and willingness to sell but not support or back-up the promises. I would rather stay elsewhere.

Don’t fall for the sales pitch!! I was a member for 5 years, and finally did not renew membership due to many problems as mentioned in other reviews. Free nights extremely difficult to book due to limited availability, really substandard rooms, overpriced food and promised services which never appeared. Foolishly, I got a call from sales recently which promised huge improvements to their system and I believed his lies. He gave an amazing sales pitch, and I thought it all sounded greatly improved. WRONG! All lies! So quickly decided to get a refund within the 10 business days. You can’t contact them. Despite emails, leaving msg’s etc. They’re nothing but con merchants peddling an inferior product!!

Been with Accor for years now. Not worth the money at all. You get a discount in crazy over priced food.. which still makes it expensive for what it is. Hard to get a room when you want it.
Save your money instead and look for good deals on other websites like hotels.com is what I do now. Plus they have a loyalty program that actually works as well. And if you wanted to stay at any of the Accor properties, well it’s probably cheaper than what Accor advantage card would do for you anyway!

Its actually a bit of a have in my opinion..
If you join the paid membership and eat at the hotel regularly then it could be a good thing with the saving, otherwise its not worth anything.
They have zero hotels participating in NZ to get the 10% discount. So with all the marketing and advertised priced benefit you cannot save a single dollar being an Accor member.
If you like to go away and stay in a hotel and eat and drink in the same place then being an Accor member may have some benefit. If you want to get out and see the location then you wont get a benefit in NZ anyways as there is no discount given for booking a room...so why bother.

Bad is not the word! Cheap cheap cheap ! You get what you pay for if you like quality spend a bit more and get quality . Beds are rubbish the fruit on the buffet breakfast is rubbish... pre cooked bacon r u serious??? and don’t even start me on the coffee! First time I have booked a holiday with them and never will again! I am on holidays now In a ‘classic room’ with ‘river views’ I was told I had bought an escape deal with a room upgrade to ocean view at Sofitel Broadbeach with a late check out at 1pm. I didn’t get that room and the reception did me a favour by giving me the late check out. I didn’t check my paperwork .. I didn’t think I needed too, don’t trust who you speak to is my advice they lie to sell to you . I’ve never had any problems with anything i have booked myself ever and I travel often . I Can’t wait until they ring me to renew my membership ...

what a waste of space their web site is, I want to reset my password, the site just spins and spins and spins. I have not got the time to spend all night trying to reset my password. This is the last year we will be bothering with this lot.

I've read a heap of bad reviews with surprise it's TRUE you need to regularly use the card to get value and book an expensive hotel to get your free night . We do this and very year have had no trouble in getting a free night at a Sofitell. SO hotel or Pullman The biggest saving is half price meals and we use this privilege a lot just for a meal out even in our home city Auckland
Ignore the sales pitch and do the sums and if you do what we do you will find good value

Disgraceful money grab with absolutely no customer service. Have had nothing but difficulty in trying to redeem offers which are at the centre of their sales pitch ie, drinks on arrival, dining discounts, best rate guarantee. They won't help if you call them either. Just tried to ring to complain, I am caller number 17 in line. Give me a break.

This is a shocking money-hungry company with a complete lack of integrity regarding communication. The 'sales' department make it totally impossible to speak about canceling the Acor card - I have phoned for a period of over 5 days in total, every two days plus 4 emails requesting contact. Each time, I am fobbed off at the 'pre-sales' department with promises that someone from the correct department will contact me. I work and cannot sit by my mobile phone to take a phone call. It is a company built on 'promises' - all talk and no action!

We are Accor plus members. Made a 3 day reservation and received a booking email holding it till 9pm next day. Went to pay at 7 next day and it was cancelled. Wasted an hour speaking to an agent who said expiry time was Indian time, not Australian, where we live and hotel located! Would not honor booking. My husband rang hotel direct who said accor had cancelled it 4 minutes after we had booked it the night before. Very dissatisfied, did not want to waste over 2 hours booking 1 room. Not sure what we are paying for.

Save your money and put it towards accommodation, meal. After the big phone sell I stupidly agreed to give it a go. Gave me an extra month as an incentive, card didn't arrive until after I complained about 6 weeks later. Restaurant wouldn't accept cover letter as it had expired. Deal only covers participating Hotels and Restaurants not the full chain. Good luck trying to find one. We booked into the Mantra, got a price $2 cheaper than we could have on a booking site. Their restaurant didn't participate in program. Bali, same deal, didn't participate in program.

No more. Having been a member for over 20 years I have just been treated disgustingly. Room booked using a complimentary night to turn up at the hotel to be told that they had overbooked and our room was not available. Membership means absolutely nothing, your just money to them. You can get far better deals by spending a little time on the net.

Dont be fooled by their sales tactic. THIS IS NOT WORTH IT unless you travel regularly and want to eat overpriced food even after discount. Refund process is the biggest pain in the bottom. STAY AWAY

Novotel New York makes Best Western look good.
I will not be renewing my Accor membership as a result.
No porter help with large bags after travelling 26 hours to get there.
No tea or coffee making facilities.
No directory in room
No breakfast menus. No response when asked for one.
No response when asked for non functioning power point to be fixed

I was convinced on the phone to sign up to AccorPlus even though I already have and use the Intercontinental Ambassador (which is amazing by the way). I was, like the Intercon program enticed by the free room night. I paid $369 which was debited from my AMEX in 30 seconds flat and they access to the website was enabled immediately. The hotel restaurant discounts didn't interest me as it don't eat in the hotel restaurants.
What I wasn't aware of that it's only on a standard room and not on the room type you necessarily book like a suite (without paying additional). This might suit some travellers but not how I travel. The value was not there. Luckily I had my 10 day cooling off period. So I rang up member services to cancel only to be told they need to send this back to the sales department and I will be called.
So I was called and tried to be re-sold the membership. I just wanted to cancel. But I was sold to and sold to, put on hold to speak to the manager etc etc. I finally put my foot down and said please cancel the membership. I was then told I had to return the card (which I hadn't received yet) and was told it would take 2-3 weeks to get the card initially. They took my money, enabled my access in about 2 hours but they wouldn't refund me until I waited to get my card and then returned it and waited for that the then cancellation to happen all the while holding onto my money. Why not just disable the account online, cancel and card and then refund the money.
Poor customer service. AVOID. Go to Intercontinental Ambassador program so much more value.
