Having ordered an axe back in December 2015, I'm still waiting for it to be delivered. Above and Beyond took my order whilst fully aware that they did not have stock and probably wouldn't have stock for a long while. This is wholly unacceptable and incredibly poor service; also, blaming the manufacturer for this situation is " passing the buck" and does not reflect at all well on Above and Beyond.
With the present performance of A and B I could not recommend this company to anyone wishing to have a reliable and timely service!

Hi Guys - new to Trustpilot but the help you gave me on Saturday (when you were officially closed) was brilliant and I just noticed this review system when I was browsing on Sunday - time and time again I keeping coming back and I'm never short of great things to say about you.
Slightly worrying is the dent in the wallet! My own fault - can't resist some of the kit you sell!

Waiting 6 days now for an items which was advertised as "dispatched 2-3 days," only to find that the company is now chasing their distributor. I'm not sure how their customer service it do many good reviews or how they are awarded such a good store online. I had to email them twice then call them to get an answer.
Be aware that delivery may take some time as its not clearly stated that they have items in stock. Only found out after waiting 6 days for some kind of confirmation from the company, when in fact found out that they haven't actually got the item and are waiting on their distributor.
I was lured by a saving of a few pounds, in hindsight I would've have purchased from here had I known delivery would take so long.
Other rivals I've purchased from online, deliver the next day if in stock.
My point is this company should clearly state "in stock" or already give a realistic delivery time frame.
If you need something quick I wouldn't buy from here.

I was impressed by this company's special attention to my shipping needs. I had my order shipped to China and needed the label to include very specific details; when the Chinese characters didn't show up after I placed my order, I emailed customer service and they personally printed a new label to my exact specifications. They were very helpful and prompt and the order arrived without a problem!

placed an order 11pm thursday 17th sept for 2 items (both were 33% off rrp) total cost £319.00. the following day, i thought i'd just check stock levels again (having not heard of and never used the company before) and sure enough i was able to place the same 2 items in my basket again and both showed as 'in stock' and at the same discounted prices so i felt pretty confident.
phoned early morning monday 21 sept to enquire when my order would ship (expected it to ship on friday 18th) and was told "later today and should be with you on tuesday 22 sept"
monday 21 sept (4pm-ish) had another call to say my items were "unavailable at that price due to another buyer buying those 2 identical items at pretty much the same time (11pm remember!) as me and stock levels being inaccurate"
checked website today and those 2 items are still available but now total £422.40
disgusted.

It was well over 2 weeks ago now that I tried to get a non-faulty GPS from them. I had originally done a fantastic review which I titled 'the best'! This was at the ordering process!!
They sent me a faulty GPS assuring me that the special offer Satmap was best for me....I have the email prior to sale assuring me that all their GPS's are security sealed however this wasn't true.
I spent a 'long' time trying to get this thing to even switch on after 12 hrs of recharging which instructions said.
Then after 2 army friends came the 3 of us spent near 5 hours trying to get it to come on without crashing even with new batteries...It was faulty we believe as the unit (Satmap) has very small memory compared with others.
I was assured by woman at A&B how wonderful they are and Satmap would deal with it.
I insisted I needed a reliable unit and wanted exchange for a Garmin which they agreed to, saying in her email she'd pay return package.
They received delivery of this knackered and useless GPS Friday morning.
She then said that they were doing a lot of painting and decorating and couldn't open the package but would send replacement Monday.
I sent email saying I'd take day off work Tuesday (self-employed so much financial loss) to be here for it.
No reply....then no reply Monday to another email.
Then no reply to email Tuesday morning when I said I was sitting at home having taken day off.
Later that day (Tuesday) she answered Friday's email and said she was "jetting off to Spain" she said and would look into it.
I had to ring them again and a different woman messed me about and eventually put me on to a man. ....He launched into to longest professional excuse Ive heard in 60 years and I said that that was really fabulous but where is my GPS that I'd lost 'a lot' of money over being messed about with. ....
He then said,....." We are a company too and we have lots and lots of customers and staff".
He then said,..."I have just looked at the Satmap....and they are the most sturdy units....but this one is faulty and I agree it doesn't switch on".
The woman had told me additionally that the replacement had been sent but now he said he would refund as I'd asked or send a Garmin. He assured me he'd let me know when Garmin was sent, I'd get Wednesday, and also my £8.55 for faulty one's postage.
Of course he never bothered to tell me and I had to ring back at 5pm....he said, "Oh haven't they told you, we've sent it and its arriving tomorrow, it's being delivered by FedEx and you'll get it tomorrow".
Now its Wednesday and I'm still waiting for the Garmin and my £8.55 refund from he who has so many other customers and staff to work with.
Earlier today the woman who told me about the painting and decorating, and who is jetting off to Spain, emailed a rude message and said she can't answer because her phone doesn't hold message strings, I said it was a disgrace, don't bother me any more and don't forget my £8.55 .............and now she has just emailed a really long professional email which is really upsetting to me telling me I've spoilt her holiday and that I had to explain things .....I feel really upset now to read all of it and at this ongoing thing waiting for a GPS from them which is not faulty.
I've had this going on for over 2 weeks now since I tried to get a non-faulty GPS from them.
I'm sure a clever reply on trustpilot will be left by them.
I hope everyone who reads this will see just the sort of stress that trying to buy a non-faulty GPS from these people can lead to when they have more preference to all their other customers, staff, painting and decorating and Spanish jet flights.
Additionally I am 'still' getting unpleasant emails upsetting me from the woman who's on her jet because she doesn't like my review, despite twice asking her to leave me alone. I am over 60, my health isn't good at the moment, and I do not want this harassment.
Because of their dishonesty and now bullying involved I set up my video camera to show me opening the package yesterday of the Garmin one!. I was ready prepared.....as I open the outer packaging you can see that the security seal on the Garmin box (which Garmin put on their products for security for buyers..) had already been broken and the box opened.....this video is available for trustpilot, as is the email of them stating that all their gps's are sent security sealed (another dishonesty). If I can't load it on here, I can send by email, and it's proof of the sort of bad experiences other reviewers have shown of Aboveandbeyond's "customer service" and what can happen if one buys things from them, and I wished to warn others.

I ordered the DD jungle hammock from above and beyond and I love it, such a great product I highly recommend it. I feel that when it comes to postage however the delivery times could be made a lot clearer. From what I've read on other reviews a few people have misunderstood as I did when they will receive their order, however I am happy with my purchase and it's better to get it later rather than never.

I ordered 2 Landranger maps and then the next day ordered 2 more, both with free postage. The second order was delivered the next day. I wondered where my first order had got to. A quick e-mail and reply to Tracey and her team assured me that as the OS maps had been on 40% discount the demand had been huge, and my first order would be delivered in a couple of days, when further supplies had been received from the Ordnace Suvey.

First and foremost; One of the most helpful and client focussed retail companies I've come across. The Fenix 3 seems to have been the hottest ticket in town and despite Garmin moving the goal posts a few times the Above & Beyond team kept me (and I assume others) well informed with regular updates.
I've now had the Fenix 3 for about a week. It's everything it's cracked up to be and more (lots more). I'm sure I’ve only scrapped the surface of what it can do. [Link it with Garmin Connect and My Fitness Pall for full integration]
Big thanks to Tracey for all the emails. I’ll certainly be back to order from you in the future and have already recommended you to others.

I always buy my OS maps from Above and Beyond, especially when they have a special offer on. They are so much cheaper than anywhere else, despite being the latest edition. And with free fast delivery, how they do it I don't know, but they can't be beaten! Will never go anywhere else!

WHY do you need to know my opinion on the buying experience? I ordered my item, I paid my money and it was delivered on time. For a high-street shop, that would have been that. But oh on, your marketing people have to know how I felt through the process and how my satisfaction could have been improved. If it hadn't been delivered, I'd have complained direct to the vendor, but it was delivered therefore I was happy
As a result of receiving a request for feedback, I will cancel my account. I don't want to do business with you again; it's clear you're not happy to take my money but you want to market things at me and annoy the hell out of me like so many 21st century vendors.
I hope you get the message that some people strongly object to being treated so shallowly. I was a customer for god's sake, not a source of touchy feely information and a marketing target.
