This guy from AAG, Bill Crumb is an epitome of a good and professional customer service.
He is an example of the profile that every customer service representative should follow. Anybody that had to deal with ATT, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT and other “ Untouchables and unreachables
would want to have Bill on the other side to explain why and how of the problems and issues.
Just right now I like to call Bill and ask him why is the ATT such a giant nuisance and how to cut out from them. But Bill is working
at AAG, so its just to bad.
I got to go and work that ATT problem now.
Hey Bill, could you take a part time job with ATT and help the people?

I contacted your AAG over a week ago, gave them a great deal of personal information and was told I would be called back by 3:00PM the same day. I haven't heard a word from them since. Not to surprised......this is the kind of service that is associated with Reverse Mortgages. Rest assured any business I might do in the future certainly won't be with this company!

I think Company's Products are very good and the salesperson I dealt with very diligent in trying to work with me. On the negative side, the process dragged on for 6 months and I believe that a new req't of the investors that they sell their loans to, namely, requiring me to find an attorney to video tape and have a court reporter transcribe an interview with me and my non-borrowing spouse (to ensure she understood she would need to pay off the reverse mortgage and/or sell the home when I died to pay it off) was not handled very well. AAG first indicated they would pay for the costs and then ultimately at the last minute informed me that I needed to pay for these costs. I think as new wringles to their programs emerge, they need to coordinate internally better so that a consistent clear message is communicated to new clients.

OUR AGENT jOHN de santis was wonderful he went above and beyond however we did not like thefact that the title co. reached out and contacted someone who whom we rented a home for more than 10 yrs ago and 6mo after we moved filed a judgement against us because we held back rent because he refused to fix theings damaged by a hurricane. He said it was our responsibility and we never rec"d a court notice. now 10 yrs later he was notified and in order for us to finalize our reverse mortage he ended up getting paid not only the $he felt owed him but $7000. interest and we rec"d a little over $4000. we agreed because we needed the $ but would not recommend it to others.

I called twice about a week between calls. Both times I was told that the computer system was down. I was told that they could answer general questions but couldn’t access my account. My first impression is that AAG’s priority is selling loans, not servicing them. As a new client I find this very disconcerting.

My issue is more with the individual assigned to my account than with AAG itself. Once the initial application was signed, my account manager would not take nor return calls unless I contacted her supervisor. It became very obvious very soon that my "representative" was only interested in selling and was not at all interested in answering questions or making the process in any way easier for me. I feel as if I was taken advantage of and thought seriously about cancelling the entire deal.

Was like dog and pony show, took 3 months and advisor made me believe it could happen in days, didn't seem to know what I needed, keep coming back needing 1 more thing this happened in July, Aug. and Sept, finally closed mid Sept. closing money was supposed to direct deposited and they sent by carrier and Then I had to wait another 5 days until check cleared.

Some days very good and some not so good because some people thought all counties had the same rules and did not want to listen.

First of all, the process from beginning to end took 16 months!
Secondly, all communication was by email because AAG said they could not get through to me using my landline number even though it works for the rest of my callers. On the day of signing the final papers I had questions and somehow they managed to get me by phone after 16 months of insisting that they couldn't call me.
There was a lot of misinformation given me that had to be resolved along the way regarding work that I had to have done before the loan could happen. I didn't have money for that hence my need for the loan. When I recommended local roofers in April to be paid out of the loan funds AAG was not forthcoming with payment plan so a lien was put on my house for non payment until closure in October.
The people AAG sent for other tasks way over charged and didn't finish the work. I told AAG and they said they would look into it but I never heard back. So I had to pay a local company to finish work that was already deducted from funds...I therefore paid twice for that work. I asked for but did not receive an itemized list of charges for their work.
I could go on but I will leave it at this: I gave 2 stars instead of 1 to give benefit of the doubt but it was an extremely stressful experience.

I think that overall AAG did a good job. I was, however, led to believe that the money I did not draw, would draw interest and have come to find out that is not the case. I have called my representative twice, however, I have not received a call back. Other than these items, I believe AAG did a good job of putting this together.
