I have had maybe 6 or 7 experiences buying from, or attempting to buy from, Ticketmaster now. While I'm sure they could be worse, I think for how many artists use them for initial ticket sales, they are disorganized and dishonest. I'm surprised they're even allowed to sell those marked up "platinum" tickets as quickly as they do. A half hour into a sale, tickets that were originally $200 are suddenly $1,200. They used to have a customer service line and an automated phone line you could call to buy tickets, but of course they got rid of those. Buying tickets for highly popular shows is now even more difficult than it already was. Of course, there's always resale, but obviously that markup is going to be insane more often than not. Basically, if you're buying for any show with any sort of demand, you're probably screwed. So good luck!

The Evilness of TicketMaster
TicketMaster is an exhausting and most unfriendly website. it is a user-interface nightmare.
the experience of trying to choose a seat is the worst I've have ever had.
instead of verified that I'm a human being -
The option to buy a ticket is getting closed to the user. if he try to choose 3 times.
And the reason to choose 3 times? - Because it doesn't offer the user to choose from a pool of seats or by a seat-map.
The manager and developers of this website should quit because they are doing a terrible terrible job.
That's just too bad that artists trust this website, because whom ever run it - should definitely be ashamed of themselves.
One thing is for sure, whoever in charge can't say that he is making this world a better place.
Wasting a precious time for users all over the world? oh my god.. The crew of this website will
surely have a very bad karma, even so they probably don't believe in one.

Yes I got my Re-Seller ticket, but received too many !!! I contacted their customer services, after hours (yes hours..) of waiting. They said they would look into it because, as an honest person, I was concerned that the Seller of this ticket had made an honest error, and was losing out. After several more attempts to find out what was happening (i.e. could I now use this spare ticket), nothing, no response, no call back. The delay on their Customer services call centre site is simply unacceptable.

I bought tickets to an Ed Sheeran show in Lyon, France, for my friends and me. We got there early and waited 4 hours to get good places. When the doors opened and it was time to scan the tickets to get in, ours were rejected for being "unreadable", and we tried scanning both the printed versions and the pdf on my phone. We had to wait for the staff to sort it out while everyone who was behind us in the queue got in, we waited for at least 20 or maybe 30 minutes before the tickets were confirmed to be legit by the staff. I will precise that my friend and I were not the only people who had this issue: dozens of other people were waiting with us outside the gates, and everyone I asked told me they had bought their tickets with Ticketmaster.
It seems to me the first mission of an official ticket selling website is to make sure their barcodes are recognized by the machines! I will not use this website ever again.

I was looking for a couple of tickets there and was shocked how they're lying. When you see the sum, click "go further" and the sum is almost doubled. HOW IS IT POSSIBLE? This experience was terrible, guys

Don’t get fooled. I purchased my tickets and got them digitally. However, I am not happy with the fact they tacked on an extra $15 per ticket for processing without telling me prior to purchase. My tickets were supposedly only $63 but I ended up paying $95 a piece with the insurance and I can’t cancel the order with out losing $45. They did quote an insurance price but it was only $7 and I thought it was for the set of tickets and not individually

The cost of the tickets was less than the fees I was charged. I bought 2 tickets and had decent seats paid over $400 and each ticket was only $95 face value.

Website is faulty. As a result we have tickets for the wrong venue and are struggling to get a refund. Extremely Disappointed.
After a smarmy email for customer service, I managed to get a full refund.

I sold 2 tickets through Ticketmaster resaleon March 10, 2017. I was thrilled after this being my first time using this service that they sold so quickly! That is where the joy ends so far. It is now March 27th, and I yet to see the money!!! I have called and emailed, changed deposit info, etc... Everything they told me to do. BTW, if you email, be prepared to wait DAYS in between replies and you get no real answers when you will be paid!!! So at this point Ticketmaster has the original money I paid for the tickets, and the resale money but have not paid ME the seller! A little upset and will never use the service again!

I paid for my tickets, but now see that I have no tickets to print out...my concert is in 2 days. I've sent emails to customer service with no response....I can't get through on the phone because I get a constant busy signal. Does Ticketmaster customer service actually exist? I've purchased tickets thru tickemaster many times, but have never had to deal with customer service before now. I'm absolutely stunned with the lack of customer service from them. I'm at a loss of what to do. I really, really hope that I don't lose my $180!

Strange how these sites seem to get all the tickets on the 'open market' for events first and then are allowed to hike the prices up. They really should limit the mark up to let normal folk actually afford to go to the events.

The price of a monopoly I guess. If you can avoid it and get tickets elsewhere they will be cheaper. fees and charges add up to already huge ticket prices...

I avoid this website at all costs. It's nice and they do get you the tickets, however, all the fees that you get almost match the price of the ticket itself. They have a big monopoly of ticket sales and take advantage of it.
Delivery charge?! How hard is it to email something?
Service charge? Fine.
Processing charge? Isn't that what the service charge is? Ridiculous.

Ticket Master works fine, but to me, it appears Ticket Master charges fees well beyond they value they provide. This seems to point to some market imperfection which allows these profit margins to persist. Personally, I am happy for a band to get my money if I pay to see a show, and I understand that a venue should be compensated as well. But it seems a little odd that an online ticket reseller charges as much as 30% in fees: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ticketmaster#Service_fees
I'd love to see a competitor disrupt Ticket Master's market, but it seems for the time being their exclusive contracts with large live venues will keep their pricing power intact. http://www.nytimes.com/1995/06/15/arts/pearl-jam-bows-to-ticketmaster.html
