Went in with my daughter to look at skateboards. Alec was extremely helpful and took a lot of time helping understand what we were looking at and what to buy.

Had a great experience earlier in the year with The Snowboard Shop while I was hunting down some Burton impact shorts in mine and my wife's sizes, without having to buy from two different places. Managed to confirm stock of what we wanted using the live chat widget online, which was particularly impressive as I was hopping from page to page and had several tabs open, yet they followed me the whole way without interruption. The shorts arrived quickly and saved our butts many times over this season.

I recently had a demo, and bought a Red Paddle, board fromThe snowboard shop in Fleet. The owner, Darren, and Alex there both really helpful, honest and gave great advice. I was reluctant to buy the Red one as it was much more expensive than some other models, but once I understood why, and more importantly the benefits of the design and construction, decided that I would pay the extra. Really happy I did as the product is brilliant.
I’d def recommend both the Red Ride 10’6” board to buy and buying from The Snowboard shop.

Last year (2015), I visited to get a jacket, boots and pants. Great and knowledgeable service.
Today I went back potentially looking for a board, and after about 30 minutes of discussion, I had a selection of 4 boards to choose from for my size, style and level, and had explained the differences in technology, mechanics, and the different merits of each. Ended getting a Goliath Bataleon 2016, and Burton Cartel bindings. Here you get great pricing, along with the experienced knowledge and advice you can only get when face to face. Highly recommended.

Very helpful people who know exactly what they are talking about and are well equipped with up to date kit and products but who don't push you into buying products you don't need .

I had a fairly decent idea of what I wanted, but was given many options, all based on sound advice and obvious real experience by Adam.
Previously I have mainly bought off big chain places, well probably not anymore, I was pleasantly surprised at the difference in personality and ability to understand what I want and need... I'm an intermediate boarder at best, been out of it for 5 years and been diving, but no elitist [email protected] going on, just plain common sense and honest advice.
I'll go back in future for all my boarding purchases and will recommend to anyone who will listen, a good honest setup who looks after people, and knows the bottom line will follow that.

I recently went into The Snowboard Shop in Fleet with my girlfriend to kit us out for the new season. We were looking for a new set of boots and bindings and had done our research online and in other stores in London. We could see straight away that they had (in stock and on display) the best bits of the new season's range from all the brands you would want to see.
The store was really busy a few days before Christmas but I was still encouraged to try on about 10 different pairs of boots to make sure I got the most comfortable fit for my foot and riding style. Their product knowledge was excellent and it was great to get honest advice from people who were genuinely experienced snowboarders and who had tested the equipment they were recommending on the mountain personally. In the end I got myself a new pair of Vans which fit like a glove and were definitely the right boot for me.
Meanwhile my partner was getting advice on her second pair of bindings and after asking questions about every binding in the store she settled on some Burton Scribes. The colour and size she wanted was not in stock but they ordered them in and they arrived in about a week (even over the festive period) which was great. Again she couldn't be happier with her choice and the guidance she received.
All in all we were in the store for over 3 hours, which I imagine would drive most shops crazy, but we were encouraged to make the right choice and test as many options as possible. Whilst shopping we made friends with another couple in the store who were buying their first set of equipment and trying just as many items on. It was great to see that the staff were as comfortable and keen to make recommendations to beginners as they were experienced riders and that the range they had in store catered to their requirements and budget too.
At one point the guys who run the store even made us and the other customers a cup of tea whilst we were shopping (ok 2 cups) and the atmosphere in the store on the lead up to Christmas was brilliant. In addition the team actually kept the store open late for us so that I could get my boots moulded before I left, which was above an beyond what you would expect anywhere in my experience. It was probably a good thing that they closed before I had a chance to buy a new jacket and board pants too.
I really couldn't recommend The Snowboard Shop more. I travelled from London to shop there and it was definitely worth it to get the advice and to be able to try everything on. Lets face it, winter sports are an expensive hobby, so if you want to see a great range of gear and come away knowing that you definitely bought the right stuff you should try them out!

I visited the shop today to replace my 20 year old kit. I can only say I wish more shops were like this, the staff were very knowledgeable, gave good advice on all the equipment and spent as much time with me as I needed to make my mind up on my purchase(2 hours!). Can't wait to get out on the slopes now!

The guys at the Snowboard Shop were a good bunch to buy our first set up from and spend a whole afternoon with. What could have been a daunting process, having very little knowledge in what it is that we actually needed or how to select the correct gear, they talked us through every aspect, spent lots of time ensuring the gear fitted correctly or would do the job that we required of it and importantly kept the mugs topped up with tea. Without doubt we will be coming back

We went into the snowboard shop as complete novices when it comes to buying gear, thinking we'd would do a bit of research as to whats out there and the prices. Darren and the Guys were so friendly and attentive that after only a short time we both knew this was the place to get out gear from. The Snowboard Shop is an independent and I don't know about the rest of you but for me that counts. Everything you try on the guys have personally tried and tested and can give you an assessment of the quality. They don't have a massive collection but that was because they hadn't wasted space on stocking gear that was cheap and nasty. We met other more experienced riders whilst we were there who could've bought their gear anywhere but who gave these guys their ringing endorsement as proper enthusiasts. Darren spent AGES with us (!), making sure it was all "just right" and hey, how many places will give you several cups of tea to boot?! We spent a fortune, but it was worth…thanks guys, Merry Christmas and happy riding!!!!!

I went to the snowboard shop on a recommendation from a friend, looking to buy a new snowboard. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and it was easy to tell that they had a passion for snowboarding. They asked lots of questions about what i was looking for and my style of riding, and they explained all of the attributes of the different boards. I am happy that the board that was recommended to me was based on what was best suited to me, and not the most expensive. I ended up with a K2 Subculture, and I am ecstatic with it. Cant wait to get it on the slopes.
