This place is a scam. Placed a dispute through my CC to get money back. My booking doesn't exist when I tried to contact them. Website just comes up blank. Thank goodness I checked before going on vacation.

It is a SCAM company defrauding the customers. Should be shut down. I recently made a pre-paid 4 day car reservation for Cancun airport pickup through Holiday Autos site, car to be provided at MAS by Mex car rental. MAS by Mex car rental did not honor the pre-paid car reservation. We had to book a new car, paying double price. Total scam and fraud. Stay away from HolidayAutos and MAS by Mex car rental, they work together in that scheme: no car, no money... two words SCAM & FRAUD

Their website had a fault while renting a car. The money was taken (paid via maestro debit card) but I receive a mail after a few days that the booking was cancelled due to an issue with payment.
After ~2months and several interactions on their live chat, the money was returned. The first live chat contact accused me of using an online wallet and that it was my fault the payment didn't go through. It took much polite pushing via live chat, during the ~8chat sessions being constantly told the issue was escalated and that I would receive contact within 48working hours (which I never received). Eventually I got the money back.
Lesson learned, only use credit cards online from now on, especially if dealing with holidayautos.

Do not use Holiday Autos unless you want to be absolutely robbed! I booked a car through this service and when I arrived the car was not there. I was told to make a second booking and was assured I would be refunded for the first booking. It is now months later and I have been told I will never be refunded for my booking. I cannot emphasize enough how much you should never book through Holiday Autos.

I booked and paid for a car ahead of time in Mexico. When I got a taxi to drop me off at the rental car agency, there weren't any cars available. I called Holiday Autos and their customer service rep told me to go ahead and book any car I can find (the only one available was $1000+) and they said they would refund it to me.
Now 2 months later, they are offering me an $80 refund. I have everything in writing and will see this through until they make this right but wanted to warn others of my poor experience.

DO NOT USE - Refuses refunds despite stating that they have free cancellation. We all know life isn't great at the moment with all this covid pandemic causing cancellations of holidays etc but we used Holiday Autos because they have free cancellations; however, we have tried to get money returned to a credit card and they outright refused and have offered Vouchers... WARNING... DO NOT ACCEPT THE VOUCHERS... Their terms and conditions for the vouchers are biased strongly in their favour.
This is the first of many bad reviews I'll be leaving for them.
After reading similar BAD reviews around their refund policy, their replies asked the reviewers to get in contact with them. We have and we had a absolute refusal to honour the refund to the credit card.

Similar to other reviewers, I had to cancel a rental (IT662780670) due to the Covid situation. I spoke with a somewhat grumpy customer service agent who seemingly didn’t want me to make this decision but managed to get this processed on the 17th April. Now here we are on the 17th June and I still haven’t had a refund. I am a patient chap, and I understand that the whole situation is different to normal but waiting over 60 days for a 20 day refund is too much, and then some. To cap it off, getting in touch with them is almost impossible. It’s really disappointing.

When I tried to cancel the rental car due COVID 19 on their website it was just an option to get a voucher. There was no option to get my money back and when I called them they told me that I had just clicked on the voucher option and that I could not get my money back. I called three times and spent an hour on the phone but I couldn't reach the supervisor or manager. Whenever I called and waited for about twenty minutes they told me the manager was busy. Very disappointed and I will never use their service in the future.

I made a booking in Feb 2020 for car hire in Corfu, paid in full.
As many people have had to do I cancelled, on 19th April, with a promise of a refund in 20 working days.
After contact with a customer service person this date was slipped to 31st May (no prior warning given of this), and again today (31st May) their deadline has slipped to 5th June, from a customer service person.
It's understandable that so many people are waiting for a refund, but to not communicate refund issues with potential returning customers but having them to do the leg work to find out when their refund is due is appalling practice.
I won't recommend or use this company again.

Absolute joke. You think you have cancelled but they just keep sending emails saying it will be 20 days over and over.
Im going to take an action against them to claim my money back.
If you would like help doing the same leave a review above this with your email. I will help you file the case.
We can bring these crooks down if we get enough judgments.
You are the lowest of the low. People work hard for holidays.

When we had to cancel our trip to the UK due to the COVID19 virus, we canceled through Enterprise which uses Holiday Autos as a third party broker in the UK. When we didn't get a refund of our deposit Enterprise told us that even though we had canceled the rental through them they couldn't refund the $400 deposit since Holiday Autos had initially done the rental and charged our credit card. After contacting Holiday Autos they refused to refund the deposit saying it should have been done on their web site even though the original confirmation and confirmation number on the rental came on an email from Enterprise. The jist of the situation is neither Holiday or Enterprise lost anything because the car was able to be rented by Enterprise since we canceled three days prior to our reservation. But Holiday is keeping our money. Wish we would have looked at this and their facebook page before using them. It appears they are a sham company to be avoided at all costs.

Telling a customer in the midst of a coronavirus outbreak who just wants to use the entire day he's paid for because of a flight change that "next time, you need to pick a time that you can commit to", and then hanging up in his face when he finds that advice ridiculous, is probably not the best way to handle traveling customers during the biggest travel slump since 9/11

Ran into problems with creditcard. We couldn't change or cancel the booking because the holiday auto's website didn't work. Ended up paying for a car we couldn't even use and had to change our holiday plans. They will NEVER refund you. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY.

Unfortunately my experience with Holiday Autos site is very bad. Firstly I rented a car from Holiday Autos site that provided Green Motion's company as local supplier in Gdansk in Poland.
When we arrived to Gdandsk in 27-12-2019 we surprised at Green Motion had no office in Gdansk airport. So we phoned them then one of the employees came after 20 minutes to pick us from the airport to their office location. There we agreed on that he would meet us on our departure day, 1-1-2020, before our flight at the same place to pick us again to the airport, the same way we came from the airport.
We did exactly what we agreed on together. We waited beside the office 45 minutes, which was locked with t.v on. No answer, more than 7 calls on his phone numbers that say 24/7 active lines and I sent more than 2 messages. Then we had to take the decision to head off to the airport and parked the car in airport parking. 6 hours after, the employee called us to know location of the car without apologizing even. After 2 hours Green Motion company sent email to me saying at they charged me 73,80 EUR as penalty for at the vehicle has not been left in the designated place. At the same time, Amount of 74 EUR was also deducted from my credit card balance av. I tried to contact them but they didn't answer. Then I reported a complaint (PL485184440, case: 01341108) to Holiday Autos site which after one and half month said at they can't do anything! Now I will report my bank for at I have all documents that support my case.

If I could give them zero stars, then I would. Booked to pick up a car in Tenerife over Christmas. This car had a much smaller boot size then we booked for and no alternative was available. I couldn't fit in two small suitcases into a car boot that was supposed to fit three suitcases. Advised by their representative not to take the car and holiday autos would give us a full refund. To date no refund received, they said they would not give me one as I did not take the car upgrade offered (not an alternative, an upgrade that I would have to pay more for) and furthermore emails have not been answered. Avoid this company at all costs.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS WEBSITE!
I've always used Priceline to book my car rentals and this was the first time that they transferred me to another company - Holiday Autos. It was nothing but trouble trying to book as it would say "Booking Confirmed" after entering in your credit card and then minutes later you would receive an email saying that it was 'cancelled'.
I finally got it to work and received an email saying it was confirmed. As I am boarding the plane, I receive an email saying that my reservation is cancelled but I check my credit card and I've been charged three times.
The online help system for Holiday Autos is a joke! They put you in a hold system where they hope you will give up. Then the representative tells me that I wasn't charged even when I send screenshots of the charges.
Save yourself the hassle and stress; book elsewhere.

Booked a transfer from Chicago airport to a Hotel. The taxi did not show up and the Holiday Autos emergency line was not answered (!).
Incurred extra costs of taxi, phone calls plus the obvious inconvenience. Holiday Autos complaints procedures seem deliberately difficult and designed to deter you from claiming compensation. I would think carefully about using them, there are other options out there!

We weren't able to pick up the car from Rome airport because we only had Amex and a debit card. We'd already paid our deposit using Amex with Holiday Autos, and it wasn't made clear to us that we might require a different card for the pick-up. The car hire company (Goldcar) asked us to call Holiday Autos in order to transfer the booking to another company within the airport, the majority of which accepted either debit or Amex. Holiday Autos refused to do this, and declared us a "no-show". They then hung-up when we asked for a refund. We were left stranded at the airport until we were able to arrange alternative travel to our destination, and missed much of the wedding we had traveled to Italy to attend.
