I ordered a meal from GBK for my family. I spent £57 and the chicken bites were hard and bruised the inside of my mouth. We ordered the Panko chicken burger, it had more salt than the Atlantic!! I am Disgruntled and this is disgraceful

Ordered 5 burgers (4 meat; 1 veggie; most without mayo) + 5 fries + sides + ice cream.
1 hour late - we got 3 fries; 7 burgers (all with mayo; none veggie; 3 chicken). No sides; no ice cream.
£95 and nothing that we ordered. And it was cold. Never again.

I ordered a meal on NYE for my son and I. I live 2 minutes walk from the local GBK restaurant (Bracknell). The food came 5 minutes late (not a problem), but was cold. I'm not sure how it can get cold in that space of time. They forgot the drinks and sent the wrong ice cream. I took the food back but was told they couldn't refund me because I had ordered from Just Eat. Seeing the restaurant made me realise partly why the food might be cold. Once they'd bagged up orders they didn't place them anywhere warm but on a bar waiting for collection. I still suspect that the fries weren't cooked to order and had been sitting for sometime. So, I paid £46, got cold food, wrong pudding and no drinks. Now heading into day 4 with no refund.

Order through deliveroo and you are in for a tragic meal. Try them out if you want food that makes McDonald's look like a 5 star restaurant.

Ordered through Just Eat for delivery from the Bracknell GBK branch. When I received the order it was totally incorrect. Managed to get hold of GBK and they firstly try to put the blame on Just Eat and did not want to take responsibility for the incorrect food being packed. Spent hours trying to get a solution, was told that I would get a refund ( which I have not yet received) and place another order. Surely you as a restaurant find a solution to fix your mistakes. So disappointed the way it was handled. Let me family with a meal...

We just ordered for lunch and when it arrived we found it was terrible value for money, the burger seems half the size it used to be but the same price. I used to be happy to pay this high cost because the burger was so big toppings plentiful. Now its pathetically small, the ingredients even smaller ( bacon was one piece and avocado was a small smear) I also asked for mayo and none was included. The burger itself was sparse and pathetic...very disappointing . Their standards have gone downhill and its very disappointing.

Went with our family to GBK in Norwich, took ages to download app, which then didn't work, staff told us to try again as they were unable to take the order. What are they planning next... You cook your own food! We left without ordering again and went to Bill's, which is a better, more organised, proper restaurant by far.

Sent me someone else's order. The staff must be completely useless. Never even bothered to answer the phone when trying to contact them

Such a poor experience. Visited the Trafford Centre with my niece and nephew (4 and 2). Turns out - they don’t do kids menus. Paid £67 for three burgers and some fries that were so basic and cold. Had to ask for cutlery. Staff look bored and inconvenienced by your presence. Trying to order via the app took 20 minutes and basically ruined my lunch and when it arrived there were missing items. Will not be returning

Don’t bother until Dine Out to Help Out is finished.
After downloading the app to place our order, it continued to crash and time out. Resulting in the team not receiving our order at all without any notification or follow up from any of the restaurant staff who were clearly under immense pressure. If you cannot produce an app that works then don’t advise your customers to use it!
Finally ordered our meal after being seated for an hour. Children’s meals have been removed from the menu at the moment which seems really wasteful as the main meals are huge and our kids struggled to get through one between them.
Hopefully once the Dine Out to Help Out promotion is over, service and their menu (which is currently not serving half of what they normally offer) will return to business as usual.

This review is regarding GBK Lakeside Shopping Mall branch.
Last week My family and I went to GBK on Wednesday (the last day of the week for Eat Out to Help Out offer). We ordered for a collection using their Mobile App. It gave us a 25 minutes wait time. When we reached the branch, we found a long Queue. I was not sure do we need to be in the queue even for a collection wait time? I asked a gentleman staff member (his name was Prince) that we have a small baby and we are not sure about the procedure, he took our order number and went inside then he came back and said the "Panko Friend chicken" was all finished so they could not fulfil our order. I was surprised and a bit annoyed but politely asked for a refund. The gentleman said, he can arrange for a refund but what about if we come tomorrow (if we can) even on a non EOHO offer day, he can fulfil the same order for half price and we do not need to queue up. We agreed and came back next day. We asked for the gentleman Prince but found out that he had finished his shift a while ago. We explained all situation to a lady (named Natalia), She took our order number and asked us to pick a table. My wife, baby and I sat on a table and waited. Only after a little while our full order was served and they even added complimentary drink. We enjoyed our food and left with many thanks. I must say that we all write a lot in reviews when we get bad service but there are these star staff members as well who do their best on even difficult occasions. Mistakes happen but how they handle it makes them stand out. Loved this service and will go again. Thanks to Prince and Natalia.

I can’t leave anything more than a 1 star review.
My order was completely wrong, I ordered a vegetarian burger without tomato, it had tomato.
I also ordered fries, it had no fries.
When I called the restaurant as recommended they were about as helpful as the tomato I had in my burger which I didn’t ask for.
Spoke to the manager, he basically said it’s impossible to send a portion of fries as it’s way above his authority.
He must be managing minions or something, because of fries are too big of a deal for him, what can he actually do?
Seriously, I simply want my money back, £15 for a soggy vege burger.
I’m impressed, not.
I'll keep persuing until I get a refund, or my fries with a burger, or Gourmet removes the word Gourmet from their 'can't even get the basics right' name.

GBK is fantastic. The team are polite and welcoming and the food they serve is of extremely high standard. The Walton branches in particular are fantastic!

The shoestring fries are ok but the chicken burger was the single greasiest thing I've ever eaten while somehow managing to be dry at the same time. Won't be ordering again.

GBK Chiswick. Ordered the meatless burger, regular burger and two fries. The vegan burger wasn’t cooked. It was raw. I cook these burgers at home so know what they are like when cooked. Fries soggy. It was nothing to do with the Uber driver as the other burger was warm. Called restaurant to complain as we ordered through Uber Eats, restaurant said I had to take it up with Uber and request a refund. Contacted Uber and you can’t get a refund, you can only rate them poorly. Poor food and a total con. Surely GBK or Uber can’t both fob you off with food that breaches your basic statutory rights. Not the first time this has happened with GBK Chiswick. We ordered from them tonight to help out with CV-19 as heard they might be closing down. Sadly this didn’t work out for us and I ended up cooking the vegan burger and fries at home and paying for it. I appreciate it’s tough for restaurants at the moment. But it’s also tough for customers as we don’t have a lot of money to spend. It should be a two way respect.

Usually use the Kingston branch - friendly staff, wait times low or reasonable even at busy times, and the food is consistently good. Shame about the new app being not as good (or as generous it seems) as the old one though - please make it a bit better!

We visited with our small grandson, paid up front using the app. Food arrived around 15 minutes later, chips and onion rings all stone cold, they took away to replace but left the burgers. During eating of my burger I found a foreign object in the burger that looked like it could be animal fur !!!!. We immediately stopped eating and asked to see the manager. The manager was to busy cleaning tables to see us so sent over a supervisor, long story short they couldn't refund our money as the payment had been on the app.
The offered us some vouchers for a free burger that lasted a month and you had to spend more money to use them. we left and contacted the head office who just referred us back to the restaurant, no one was interested an it took 3 phone calls and 2 weeks to get my money back. If you have another choice take it or go to Mcdonalds.
