If you fancy a good value break to Sardinia then this looks really good for families. Leaving on 21 August and returning on 1 September you will spend 11 Nights In Sardinia. Flights are with Alitalia and do have a very short stop, but this isn't too bad with flight duration still being 4-5 hrs and you do at least get drink and a snack. If you want hold luggage you need to add this on depending on how much your family needs. The place I've looked at to stay is right on Lido beach and walking distance to other beaches such as Maria Pia. I also picked an apartment that sleeps 6, two double beds and a large sofa bed (but based this holiday on 5 people) and the apartments look lovely with plenty of amenities and a good kitchen. It is the same price for the apartment if you have 6 or 5 people so if there are more of you the price will go down! There are cheaper options but they are further away from the beach and don't have as good reviews and I thought this was great to be centrally located for buses and touring around. You could also hire a car once in the hotel and then head further afield such as Cag. Flights @ Alitalia £607.15 Hotel @ Expedia £1078.20 Taxi allow £40 return but try and book in advance so they have enough seats for you all. Total £1725.35/£345.07pp
