Removed my view for being honest about their bad service.

Purchased X28ANS on the 13/6/2020 paid in full BCR sent me a receipt for payment. Here we are nearly 2 months later I have not received the registration I paid for in full and after a number of emails with no reply and phone calls which tells you to email I have heard nothing,
luckily I paid for it on my credit card so I'm in the process of getting my money back.

Great service from a Company, in difficult and unusual times for all.
Way beyond my expectations at this time.

Buyers beware! Please read! I think I've been scammed by British Car Registrations!

Before my purchase, I checked out British Car Registrations and looked at their reviews. They seemed like an honourable company.

On 1st March 2020, after speaking to British Car Registrations twice about the number plate I wanted to purchase, I bought a personalised plate (KR15 TAR) via their website for my daughter's 21st birthday. The cost ended up at £1123.92 and the payment was taken almost immediately and invoice issued.

I was called within 30 minutes or so to advise that they didn't have the registration plate to sell me although they did offer a couple of other options that weren't suitable. I was promised a refund by Friday 5th March. The refund hasn't materialised, it is now 25th March and despite the promise of a call back no one from British Car Registrations has bothered. The registration plate I 'bought' was still being offered for sale when I last checked.

Please learn by my mistake and save yourself the stress of losing your money to this company by buying through the gov site.

Paid almost two hundred pound for sale of personal number plate - this company couldn't do enough to get my money but after money was received they done little to answer questions regarding mis-selling of their service, have written to director and followed their 'complaints' procedure as per their web page regarding complaints (which has since disappeared? ! - but I have a screenshot of it whereby they say they respond to every complaint). Yet they have not responded to any of the three letters I have sent. This company mis-sold me a service of selling my number plate through their advertisement. One of their employees was disgraceful in their customer service (which I recorded the telephone call proving how the woman spoke all over me, gave me no time to speak about my complaint and refused to give me details of who to write in to). I will be going to trading standards as this company say they only take one fee which covers everything but then they add 10% onto the sale price online (which I was told was their commission - after I had paid the fee - before having paid I was not told they add this percentage on). It was all smoke screen and terrible service and as yet no-one has responded to my letters of concern.

Excellent service from BCR. It was easy to choose a number and the transaction was handled quickly and efficiently. The new plates were available in two days and were fitted in four. The staff were always helpful and friendly and the job was completed to my complete satisfaction.

Amazing service. I did not have a clue what I was doing and the staff was so helpful and even remembered me when I rung back.

I was happy with the the quickness an hour I got my registration plates it was so quick and so easy they sorted everything out for me and it was not too expensive I'm very happy with my number plate I waited a long time for them but I got in touch with British car another number plate registrations and got them so easy thank you very much but you're helping your cooperation if I need to get another number plate I will show you go to British car number plates thank you once again for your help and cooperation

Sharp Practice - We purchased a new plate via the BCR website and paid for their service to transfer the plate onto a specific vehicle. our money was collected ,We were called the next day to say "You have made an illegal transaction the new plate is younger than the vehicle we want to transfer it to. your error will cost you your fee returned less £120".
A very bullish call, no concessions, no sorry- just, you should know the law.

Found exactly what we were looking for! Easy website and payment service. Telephone answered straight away with very helpful staff.

I have received Ruth Benbow reply to my review from Trustpilot, as expected the same as her emails, it is the company that is right all the time, no thought about the customer, well can I point out as a consumer that I have the right to cancel and did cancel in writing, as legally required to do so. The reason being I was told to sell my number plate would be a one-off fee of £130 plus vat,but had to be paid up front, and it’s value was £999, I agreed paid the fee, and received the terms & conditions, but the valuation was 0.00, and not the £999 there valuation, after speaking to the telephone sales staff and was told I had to put what valuation I wanted, and also other fees & charges started to be mentioned over the phone not mentioned previously, they would never put the there conversation in writing, so cancelled as my right, Ruth can I refer you to clause 1 of your terms and conditions, it does says the The company will advertise the registration and handle all paperwork involved in the transfer free of charge, also The are no fees mentioned anywhere in writing, I stand by my previous comments about your telephone sales tactics and the way you treated me, all I wanted was to cancel and get my refund. be careful when considering this company!!!!!

I was very pleased with the service I received with the purchase of my new private no plates on the 2nd April Laura Jones was the one I did the deal with she was very professional and thoughtful I would recommend the company to anyone.

Nevever had a private reg before not a clue how to go about it British Car Registrations did every thing for me including a choice of registration plates could not be happier
