Zootopia 2 Trailer Released

Walt Disney Animation Studios debuted a fresh teaser trailer this morning for Zootopia 2, the eagerly awaited follow-up to the 2016 Academy Award®-winning film Zootopia. The preview offers a sneak peek at both familiar faces and new characters, bringing back rookie officers Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman). It also introduces a mysterious new character: Gary De’Snake, a pit viper voiced by Ke Huy Quan.

Set to hit theaters exclusively on November 26, 2025, Zootopia 2 follows Judy and Nick as they become entangled in a gripping new mystery sparked by Gary’s arrival in the city. As the duo dives deeper into the case, they’re forced to go undercover in surprising corners of Zootopia, putting their bond and teamwork to the ultimate test. Walt Disney’s Animation Chief Creative Officer, Writer and Director Jared Bush, is “excited to welcome everyone back to the outrageous, expansive animal metropolis of Zootopia, and take audiences on a hilarious, wild ride into parts of the city we’ve never visited before.”

Shakira returns in her role as the singer Gazelle, but this time with a new look, fresh songs, and an uplifted dance choreography that the singer/actress worked on with her team of dancers.

As reported in Vanity, the first Zootopia movie was released in 2016, directed by Rich Moore and Byron Howard, and received mass international success, raking in an impressive $1 billion globally. It also won Best Animated Feature Film of that year at the Oscars and boasts its own TV series on Disney+. Therefore, Zotopia 2 is set to be a huge success.
