9 months after Airasia cancelled my flight my refund is still processing and after probably 100 attempts with the live chat I've never once been answered apart from there ridiculous annoying AVA bot. Complete lack of customer service, hoarding the cash in interest I bet as I doubt they are paying any workers they laid off during the pandemic

If it was possible I'd not even give them 1 star,they cancelled flights for 2 people in March(from Thailand to Oz) and like others have said, their robot is useless,sends you round and round in circles then closes the case,in my book that is theft.

Still waiting (probably in vain) for a refund on a flight THEY cancelled in FEBRUARY 2020. Have been trying to contact them via their useless chat robot and through Facebook messenger but they just keep putting me off. No customer service and no money back. I used to fly with AirAsia a lot but I will never do it again.

Same as everyone else.
Flight time was changed in March for a flight in September. One of the options was a full refund which I requested, here we are 9 months after and no sign of a refund. Customer service is appalling, if you actually get through to someone, they are extremely rude. Have chased up numerous times after they just close the case and say it's resolved with no refund given.
I cancelled a flight with British Airways, the money was back to me in ONE DAY. And it was actually a pleasure talking to their customer service. So Covid-19 is not an excuse for AirAsia's crappy ways.
To add to the frustration, I've submitted a claim through my credit card and apparently AirAsia responded to them to say that the charge was valid.

Would give NO STAR rating if allowed! Just read other reviews and can’t believe this! Our case number states in July a refund coming but 4 months later absolutely nothing and have been chasing since March when flight was CANCELLED by them! $3,000 out of pocket and OUT OF JOB since April so this totally sucks and will absolutely never book with them ever again! Customer service contact is NON EXISTENT! Thanks for NOTHING!!!

Same as many others, I guess.
Flight paid for in full with my Visa card sometime in February/March 2020 for an April 2020 flight.
Flight got cancelled.
Requested refund.
Still waiting.....
Contacted them many times...they always say in progress...last time they even said my refund request was in its final stage....meaning?
I cannot comprehend how a refund can be so complicated. In my job to refund a purchase is as easy as to make it...They only need to put the sales workforce...that probably are not selling very much now...to refund as eagerly as they accepted payments in the day.
I hope they refund with accrued interest..but somehow I doubt that very much.

I would give negative stars if I could. After giving the benefit of the doubt to AirAsia, waiting patiently since February on a refund which they promise to process, speaking to three different agents, being disrespected and treated unprofessionally by one of their support agents, AirAsia had just sent me an email stating "While we have reviewed and assessed it carefully, we wish to advise that in line with our terms & conditions of travel a refund is not available in this case." After half a year and what's going on in the world right now, this is truly unjust and unacceptable. Do not trust AirAsia. They have no morals, no humanity and do not give value or respect to their customers. They will take your money and you won't be able to get it back. You're better flying with other airlines.

Air Asia cancelled my flights in March, we are nearly 6 months down the line and I am still waiting for my refund. The communication is none existent all they keep doing is sending spam emails saying my refund is being processed. WHEN AM I GETTING MY MONEY BACK?? I will NEVER book a flight with these people again.

Flight has been cancelled by air asia due to Covid. Air Asia are refusing to make a cash refund only credit voucher. I'm based in Europe so can't use a credit voucher! How is it right they can just keep my money and not provide a service. Totally immoral. Will never use again.

This is a complete and fraud airline. travel agent goibibo sayig to contact airline and airline is saying to contact travel agent. both are just looting. its been 6 month that i am waiting for my refund. This fraud airline does not even revert on mail. i share everything as per their requirements. Plz dont book with mmt & goibibo. Also avoid booking this flight if want peace of mind. looking for some legal advise from my lawyer the pain which they gave to me N4FKKT

Air Asia cancelled my Honeymoon flights on the day of our wedding. We were suppose to fly out on the 22nd of March. In there email there was an option for a full refund. I choose that option as International Flights were band and Australia was going into lock down. I would like my full refund. Have talked to them so many times submitted so many cases online to get no where. AIR ASIA REFUND MY FLIGHTS!!!!

Company are rubbish
Due to Covid our flight was cancelled and even though full flex fare only option was short span voucher ,very useful when you live in Europe and flights are in Asia.
So tried to add the credit to my Air Asia account which would then last 2 years and surprise would not load , contact their customer disservice operatives who tell me the account and ticket purchaser are not the same person , of course they are , so upload proof of print outs etc and after 1 month of trying and many dumb fob off emails i gave up , they obviously dont even want people to have credit , i have read they are in financial distress can't say i shed a tear , karma

Please do not book with airasia. This company has no morals, they don’t care about their customers, only money.
My partner was diagnosed with cancer, and was unable to fly, he had to start treatment immediately. They did not refund us for our flights, even in this tragic incident. They could have gone on to re sell our tickets and made twice the money.
I do not support a company that makes money out of other people’s misery. It was within our right to receive a refund when an unavoidable sickness happens. In our country healthcare is not free, and this money could have gone towards his medicine, or his treatment, instead it went to Air Asia’s profit.
In the future, I will never, NEVER book with air Asia, I do not want to support a company that thinks it’s ok to treat people like they are less than nothing. I hope you will read my experience with the company and make your own decision whether you would like to book with them and give this company business or not.

After flight cancelled, they ask you to choose either credit account or refund back to original credit card account. However, end up they simply transfer it to the credit account without your consent. File complaints many times, they said will look into the case but end up simply close the case and ignore you.

AirAsia airline is not refunding the money of passengers even after the lockdown is lifted. They are trying their best to impose credit shell even after Govt asked all the airlines to refund the passengers money. This is unacceptable. People lost their job they want money to survive and this airline is holding all the money and not at all refunding money.
