I gave my absolute best effort and gave WorldSIM many, many chances. I was by no means impatient with them or their products, but after all my months of effort, it's very obvious that this is a 1 star company or less. Starting with their website, which is very poorly made and definitely lacks vital instruction on how to properly setup and configure their SIM cards once you've purchased them. These are the steps I've gone through with this company (attached list of emails with many, many replies per thread):
* Visit their website for the first time, didn't gather enough information on the difference between a Data SIM card and International SIM card, so I utilized the website's built-in chat feature. While the representative that I got was clearly struggling with English, after pulling teeth I eventually learned that Data SIMs cannot (supposedly) accept phone calls or text messages. So I decided to get an International SIM for my phone and a Data SIM for my hotspot. Later I find out there's literally no difference functionally.
* Fast forward to I receive the SIM cards in the mail, I immediately go onto the web portal and try and "activate" the SIM cards by putting in their ID. Neither of them were able to be added to my account for a reason I still don't know. Contact customer support, pull more teeth, finally get them added
* They are now added, but do not have the 100 GBP I added to either of them. Contact support MULTIPLE times on this account throughout the week and finally receive my credit.
* Attempted to add a virtual number to my international SIM card: my card was charged for it, but there was an error saying it could not be added. Contact customer support AGAIN and they finally add the number for me.
* Was told to enter a special code into the PIN pad on my phone in order to activate the number that they added. No surprise... DOESN'T WORK. Contact customer support for the nth time. They said these exact words (photo provided): "As we can see due to some error you were getting an error. You can try to use the services now as the issue has been resolved."... Thank you I guess? It was fixed after this but seriously? It's now becoming very apparent I'll have to contact customer support for literally anything that needs to get done.
* Number actually does work after this for making calls, but apparently you cannot receive SMS which is a HUGE let down which is EXTREMELY obfuscated on their website.
* Try the same with the Data SIM card in my hotspot, NO SERVICE. Try in my phone, NO SERVICE. Try many different configurations, NOTHING. Guess what. Contact customer support, they say there's some special APN (?) configuration they need to do on their end. Still waiting to hear back about this.
WorldSIM, if you're reading this, make a product that actually WORKS so your customer service workers aren't constantly berated with requests to do things that the product claims to be self-service. To anyone else reading this, please spare yourself the time it takes to get these working properly and just choose another company. Sadly, I have no other company to refer you to, but I'll be trying some other global SIM card provider shortly. Customer support is the only thing that works at this company, which would be great if anything else worked.

I paid $135 for the Sim and another $35 for a Spanish number. The sad unfortunate part of it is that I am unable to makes calls domestically or internationally and my credit is been debited daily for services I am definitely not receiving. First off, the company has terrible customer support. If anything goes wrong, you're left with little to no aid from them. Your bank is your best bet regarding refunds, for example.
Secondly, the US number of the International SIM card is recycled once a month. This is not something users are informed of before placing an order for the respective SIM card.
Thirdly, there is a hidden monthly fee of $1.35 not given anywhere in their price list. The price list has not even been accessible for the past year!
Stay away. Stay far, far away. This company will swallow your money once you pay them, with little to no expectation of delivering the service and/or product you paid for.

I have used this company for years but it has just deteriorated progressively over time to the point where it's now completely dysfunctional. An employee currently in Spain contacted them this morning it said that their phone line (UK) was not taking calls then he got eventually through to someone on another line it asked for a number to call him back on but it seemed like the whole system is not working he's not keeping his fingers crossed because I warned him it's very unlikely they will return the call.
I don't know what has gone wrong with the company it used to be really excellent but it's so bad now it's frankly completely on usable and when you look at the reviews you can see that people are not even getting the product it's quite obvious they are tottering on the point of collapse.
The only place this card ever works is in the UK! I have tried it in AU, NZ, Spain, Germany, Mexico, US, Canada etc and it's a complete and utter waste of time occasionally you can use it to receive calls but can't make calls out other times it won't receive or enable you to make calls. Frankly it is the most horrific option for travel and causes so much stress it is absolutely 100% best avoided. If you contact support they go to all sorts of nonsense about taking the card out putting it back in waiting two minutes it just goes on and on I have another card from the Channel Islands which you just switch on and it works every time I just don't understand why with WorldSIM there is so much complication and nonsense. Looking elsewhere you can see that the whole service is clearly an absolute joke unless of course it's one of these positive reviews or something referring to someone called Annie which seems to be some sort of reply by the company themselves. I looked on Trustpilot and it was quite obvious that the reviews were in many cases false, why on earth Trustpilot themselves have not identified this I have no idea because it must be absolutely obvious to anyone with an ounce of common sense.

Unknown to me, it seems that the sim card that I have has been discontinued and upon realizing that it wasn't working I contacted WorldSIM at which time I was told that I've have to pay $30 for a new one despite having $28 still in my account. Of course I'm not paying another $30 just to possibly send me another sim just to cancel that one without telling me so I've requested a refund of my balance on the books and haven't heard anything since. I've been a customer for 8 or 9 years and find it very disturbing that they would think it's right or fair to basically extort money from customers who thought they had service because WorldSIM took it upon themselves to change sims. How is that right? I'm supposed to trust you and just send you more money or you say to hell with me and keep the money of mine that you have at the same time?

Pathetic Service. Ordered a sim card two weeks ago, paid for express service ($25) to be delivered within 5 days. They havent even shipped it out yet nor do they even know the status of the order. The chatbot Nancy talks crap and doesnt answer and runs away when confronted with facts. They have 24 hours to respond before I report them for fraud.

Requested Refund:Impossible to get in contact with and not sure about what is happening
I had an experience of buying a Blackberry key 2 which was advertised and I bought it almost 2 months ago. At first they told me that they didn't have stock and a few days later they emailed asking me to confirm that I am ready for delivery.
They even called and gave me an expected date. Days passed beyond the expected delivery and they seemed unsure about where the item was and I didn't even get a tracking number.
After some time they told me the item wasn't dispatched and they don't have stock. I did my best to be understanding but even the people on their chat seemed unsure about the order They ignore any direct questions as they are in India and the World Sim is located in the UK. They apparently only have contact with World Sim via email and it's that same support address. The chat people did however seem like they really were trying to help.
Now I am unable to find the chat option on their website and have requested a refund of R9298.00 (ZAR ) SOUTH African money as this is what I paid for it, but getting in contact with them is almost impossible (I have requested the refund multiple times)
I really wanted to like this company but I don't know what is going on there. i am still waiting to be refunded and at least contacted to say they are going ahead with the refund.
Now I have found this place and it seems they reply here. My order number is
ORD-7482120-Y4F2D9 and my ticket number is CAS-PXZR2585.
Please refund me WorldSim and keep in contact with me during the process via my email .
have seen that world sim says they have replied to my email (on another site which I have reviewed them on , but I have no reply neither in Junk or anywhere regarding the refund email being received and my bank has not received any money ...so I am not sure why they have pasted this automatic response here . My payment was done through payfast so they will get the notification first and then I will have to transfer it back into my bank account. Please give me a real reply instead of a generic one.

Customer service bends over backwards upon your entrance to the overpriced WORLDSIM. Once you encounter issues, customer service is non-existent. The only reason I gave this company 2 stars is that I never encountered an issue with the card working worldwide. Otherwise, they are deserving of 1 star for their lack of customer support and their exorbitant prices.

Worldsim may promise low prices but they fail to control that the charging is ok. I have been charged 25 US for two local calls on Fiji less than 1 minute each. They will refund it but it is annoying to be cut off in the middle of a call. It took them 48 hours to correct the erroneous charges. During that time I couldn't make or receive calls and had to by yet another top up in order to stay available. Now worldSim will not reimburse me for the top up I had to do in order to be available.

If you are a UK traveller looking for a SIM suitable for international travel, I strongly advise that you avoid WorldSIM at all costs.
Firstly, the 'free UK mobile number' that they advertise, is not. The number allocated is actually an Isle of Man, Manx Telecom number. IoM is not part of the UK, and therefore any calls to this number are not included in any inclusive minutes. Depending on operator, calls to the IoM number are charged at 50p/min on average.
So in the first instance you have false advertising...
Furthermore, this SIM cannot receive calls from another (UK) mobile number, only landline. The company claim that as it is an international SIM, it needs credit to call it, but that doesn't make much sense. So, secondly, what use is a phone number if noone can call it from another mobile?
In seeking assistance, customer service is poor. Little to no understanding of the product, and particularly the difference between IoM and UK assigned numbers. Written enquiries are seldom answered. Enquiries raised by phone have something like over a 10 working day response time.
In finally being promised a refund on returning the unworkable SIM, this has not been honoured. Companies like this thrive on customers getting fed up trying to claim rather than doing the right thing, and providing the service their glossy websites imply.

I ordered 5 international sim cards for our family trip. They were not delivered in the 1-3 days as advertised. It was getting close to our departure date so I contacted World sim on two consecutive days chasing the order. They asked me to check my local post office which I did but nothing had been delivered there. On the day of leaving, the SIM cards still hadn't come so we had to leave without them. No means of communication whilst away and three very unhappy children who were not able to stay in contact with their friends for two weeks. We arrived home to them in the post box, which is no good to us now. The SIM cards are unused and untouched. I have been trying for over seven weeks now to get a refund. I have spoken to numerous people, sent many emails and just keep being told that this matter is with the relevant department. I am not getting anywhere. No one is helping. The Sims cost £220.00
I would have some faith restored in this company if they would just honour the refund. They keep telling me about their 14 day refund policy, which I was unable to advise them in this time period as I was not in the country hence needing the international Sims and without them had no way of communicating. Very poor customer service from this company. If they had just sent the sim cards out in the time frame they advertised, we would not be having this problem. There seems to be many more unhappy customers on the site. I know I am definitely another one adding to the list.

After several futile attempts to get my request attended to I received a quick reply from customer service and without delay has the remaining credit from my obsolete Data-Sim moved to the Sim that I use. They monitor sitejabber and I appreciate that action. Regards, Walter

Do NOT be fooled by this SCAM company.
All positive reviews are done by themself.
This company does not exist, they will take your money from you but nothing happens thereafter.
I have instructed solicitors to get this company off the web, in the meanwhile be very careful.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

I have two SimCards from WorldSim. As my wife died last year I only need one now and have asked for the other to be cancelled and the remaining credit $USD 39.91 to be transfered. They did this always until early last year and now refuse point blank. No explanation as to why. Very poor attitude.

They sent me an old sim that was not working properly. The assistance took 10 days to reply. That was after my trip, there was no use and I repeatedly asked a refund under the Consumer Rights Act. But they didn't even care to reply. I'm going to raise a dispute.
Also, I noted that the SIM was consuming credit because of data even if the data connection was disconnected!
In any case, you are much better off buying a local sim card. These WorldSIMs are way too expensive.
After insisting, I got a fake reply to my request. They misrepresented the facts, thus, confirmed that Worldsim is a fraud.

Purchased a SIM card to be mailed to Canada. First they told me they would waive the shipping cost, then when it came time to checkout, they told me they couldn't waive it. They did give me something like a $2 or $3 discount, but the total shipping cost was closer to $15. I kept waiting for the card to arrive but it never did. Finally I reached out to them and they told me the card had been returned to them. I don't understand why they didn't inform me of that right away, and I also don't understand why the card was returned to them. They wanted me to pay for shipping again, which I was not willing to do. Time ran out and it was too late for me to use their service, so I requested a refund, at which point they stopped responding to all communication. Highly recommend you find another company to get your SIM.

I purchased 5 SIM cards to be used for a trip to Europe for $120. They arrived on 6/20. None of them worked; when i put them into my phones, they all caused the phones to say No SIM card installed. It took several days to hear back from tech support and they could not resolve the problem. Since I was leaving on my trip a few days later, I did not have the time to try and get them to work and/or get replacements from them given their lack of responsiveness. I also did not trust the company or the cards assuming they did end up working, so I asked for a refund. I have been trying ever since to get a refund.
The company WILL NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY. They are refusing to give me a refund, even though it was requested within their stated 14 day window. Their warranty also is for 6 months against defective product, and they refuse to refund me based on that either. They keep telling me it is unlikely that none of the cards work, even though I tried troubleshooting them with their tech support before I went on my trip. The form to submit a refund request on their website does not work - it tells me that the case number is invalid, even though it is the same one they are using in their email correspondence. They tell me I should use their live chat so they can troubleshoot, but there is no way to access the live chat on their website, and they won't tell me how to access it.
This is a HORRIBLE COMPANY that thinks very little of their customers. They do not honor their warranty and do not stand behind their product. I am now out $120 thanks to them. I ended up purchasing my sim cards from OneSIM and they worked fine (with excellent customer service). If I could leave 0 stars I would.
UPDATE - since this review was posted, WorldSIM responded below. Their response is a complete lie. I am the actual customer and they have NOT issued a refund. They also claim you need unlocked phones. All of my phones are unlocked, otherwise the other SIM cards purchased would not work. This is further proof that the company does not operate honestly; posting lies about a customer is reprehensible.
