I booked a holiday to Lanzarote in August 2020, Due to the pandemic the flights were cancelled. I found out by chance, checking the flight info elsewhere, the holiday on the On the beach beach site was, still for sale remained available for some 10 days, no cancellation of flight, was shown on the booking confirmation.
I wanted to book another holiday elsewhere, so was pleased to receive the holiday accommodation refund 21 days later.
However the flight (Ryan air) cancelled, refund took nearly 3 months to appear. Although Ryan air made a statement that all refunds had been paid to travel operators.
I booked an alternative holiday to Tenerife.
They never told us, the accommodation was closed, we had to email the closed hotel to find we were staying elsewhere!
A total lack of communication, in difficult times granted, with disregard for customers. I would advise anyone to book their holiday themselves via the hotel direct. Cheaper generally and so much easier.
They dont like refunding money promptly.

I booked a holiday with onthebeach and bought insurance from them too. THEY cancelled my insurance. I contacted them about my refund numerous times, first response after nearly four months telling me the insurance THEY cancelled for a trip that NEVER happened because THEY cancelled it is non-refundable and they keep the money. This is all in the light of the T&Cs of the insurance contract clearly telling there is a refund. It may be that many customers don't read what they sign but unlucky onthebeach, I actually do.
Fraud and breach of conduct reported, financial claim initiated. I am sure I will get my money back at the end but neither appreciate the waste of my time, nor the sneaky attempt to make me a victim of a fraud. Stay away for this company if you want a peaceful holiday instead of wasting your time and money.

Such a rip off, never again, ever. Once you've booked they charge for everything they even charge for taking your payments! Trying to talk to someone is impossible and they never answer emails. The sooner this company goes bust the better for everyone!

Avoid this company at all costs. Worst and most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. Appalling customer service. They have no idea how customers should be treated and they should never be allowed to operate. I am amazed these cowboys are still in business.They are absolute crooks. My wife and I are both front line key workers and have worked throughout the pandemic and needed a break so we decided to book a holiday for the family during the last week of August. On 10/07/20 I booked a weeks all inclusive package holiday to The Canaries, due to fly out on 24/08/20.OTB contacted me a couple of days after I booked saying the price for the holiday had gone up so I ended up paying over £200 more. On 27/07/20 FCO advised against all but essential travel due to COVID so I attempted to contact OTB via phone calls and sent numerous message via my online account, no joy whatsoever. I messaged informing them that we would not travel against FCO advice and informed them that I do not give them permission to take the remaining balance for the holiday off my credit card which was due on 10/08/20. I had no response to my numerous messages requesting they make contact with me so I can discuss options with them. They did not respond but they took the remaining balance from my credit card anyway. Finally a week before the holiday they messaged saying that they cannot change the destination or date of the holiday. They refused to refund the total cost of the package holiday saying the flights are non refundable. They agreed to refund everything apart from the flights but they have not done this either. They have not refunded my airport parking which I booked as part of the package and they have not responded to my numerous messages asking why it has not been refunded. I have complained to ABTA, CAA and CMA. I am in the process of taking them to small claims court to recover the flight costs and now also parking costs as they are no communicating with me. The Package Travel Regulations state consumers can terminate the package holiday due to the 'unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occurring at the place of destination' and it specifically mentions a disease outbreak as one of the circumstances yet OTB do not believe this applies to them and think they can ignore this and ABTA policy which they are a member of. They have interpreted and twisted the regulations to financially suit them to rip people off. **AVOID, AVOID, AVOID - TO EVERYONE OUT THERE THAT HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF BY THIS APPALLING COMPANY ''DO NOT GIVE UP ON GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK, TAKE THEM TO COURT, THEY ARE BREAKING THE LAW**

The descriptions of the resorts are spot on, the pricing is good, paying by instalment is excellent and hassle free and the range of holidays is first rate. Booked hotel only thru OTB. Flights cancelled due to covid. No facility to change hotel dates on OTB website; no response to email. Hotel were accommodating but said I needed to go through broker. Had to cancel at cost of £60. You've lost a customer OTB.

Onthebeach are the worst company I have ever dealt with, the way they are just taking money out of peoples accounts without there permission is absolutely outrageous! How can you keep a package holiday that has either cancelled flights or hotel closure that they are obviously fully aware of, and yet are still able to access your account to either take payments for the holiday as though it's still going ahead or cancellation fees, without the customer knowing or agreeing! I have never known such shocking, unlawful and wrong actions made by a holiday company. There is no way of speaking or communicating with anyone regarding your queries about your holiday or payments taken out of your account so you pretty much become a victim of fraud and disploitation. They have no idea what is going on with anyones holidays, flights, or hotels just as long as they get the money from your account that is all that matters to them! Not even the bank can help anymore as these chargebacks are being disputed by onthebeach themselves and the money that the bank has retrieved from them for you is now being taken back out of peoples account via the bank due to a dispute on the claim! Again outrageous that they can do this! And we are not talking about small amounts of money either we are talking about thousands of pounds taken out of peoples accounts for holidays that cannot go ahead (due to cancelled flights or hotel closure) without the customers permission! Yet still NOT A WORD from onthebeach!

I've booked with on the beach before and thought I'd use again. This time around strssful as when we arrived at the airport we were told our tickets had not been issued. We spent over an hour on the phone to someone who clearly didn't know what they were doing. We had paid in full and all she had to do was release the tickets as the very helpful desk person kept explaining. Eventually got our tickets and made a mad rush through to security and then board. Not the greatest way to start our holiday.

Everything went smoothly, We had a great time in Malta thanks to on the beach which made our booking experience very easy. I will definitely use it again in the future as the service was really good. Especially the hotel staff who were very friendly and welcoming.

hotel is closed due to Corona virus so they are unable to provide the holiday we paid for but refused to cancel holiday and have cancelled hotel and are still making us pay for flight's they also cancelled our atol protection we took out when we got the holiday. I've tried calling the premium rate number several times and automated calls just talk for ages then cut the call off.
I have emailed several times to resolve this and my emails have been ignored if they don't refund my money I will be taking this to the small claims court.

My bank has since refunded me and now they are disputing it to try and keep my money when they haven't provided me with any service vile company DO NOT USE THEM

Have travelled with on the beach quite a few times now and definitely take the stress out of trying to find somewhere where myself wife and our 2 young boy's can all have a great holiday finding the best hotels in the destination we choose to go to.Also the flight's and check in at the hotel are all very straight forward easy to follow all the information provided i will definitely be booking with on the beach again in the near future and have also recommended them to friends and family

Your pickup to the airport was late pickup time was 10. 03 arrived at 10.40 we were already on are way by taxi at a cost 23 euros.we have a receipt with time of pickup date.which spoilt the end of a perfect holiday.

w e paid extra for direct travel to the Hotel, and we had to wait for over 30 minutes for the service, and on the way home we were picked up by a coach which made several pick ups.The hotel was lovely, but you had to pay for the pool towel and you don't get a refund.
